The hardest part of baldurs gate 3 is actually rejecting Wyll’s dance scene when your romancing someone else. Nauseating.

Gale is heartbreaking. Not because he loves Mystra more and is always talking about her.
Because Gale doesn't like himself, he hates his person. He thinks he is never enough so he absolutely needs to show off at every moment. He is convinced that no one can love him the way he is, the real Gale. He thinks that he doesn't deserve anything good, that he doesn't deserve love. This man sees himself as rubbish.
Even if you tell him that you love him for what he is and deserves better he continues to praise you and do like he owes you everything. He acts as if you will let him down the next wizard you see.
He can't believe that if he doesn't become a god you will still love him. That line is the most heartbreaking.
