First character design for this blog--breaking the rules by not starting with Firestar, but inspiration struck.

Since I'm revisiting Mapleshade's Vengeance designs I decided to revamp Maple and give her a full 2.0. This is quite a lot more detailed than her first design, and I changed the markings significantly to be more orange dominant, but kept the Maple leaf on her tail base because that was fire, and added a dark leaf on her rear, and tried to make the markings on her face create an inner maple leaf as well. stripes are optional in my mind, but I think they add flare so I kept them in the end. I also tried to honor the Mapleshade is a toxic cheerleader to manipulative soccer mom flavor, and based her face shape just a bit on Paris Hilton haha. I did make her more substantial in body type this time, rather than being small. Maple is one of those cats that has many iconic designs out there, so I can fiddle with her forever probably but I am happy with what I came up with this time!
