December 20: TEAM A/B
Hey Guys!
This is not a drill... CHRISTMAS IS ONE WEEK AWAY and TOMORROW at 7:30pm is A Very NIGHTS Christmas!!! Bring your family! Bring your friends! Heck, even bring your enemies!!
We’ve got a very special service planned for tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see you all there!
A few details on the service:
- We will be doing ONLY hot cocoa and water this week. The hot chocolate is being delivered in carafes at 7:00pm, and I will handle the table set up for that special station, so it shouldn’t be an additional burden to the Hospitality Team!
- We will be doing a candle lit portion of the service, so I’ll need a few volunteers to help pass those out.
- We will hold doors until 7:15pm, because we’re going to start the service at 7:40pm since most people arrive late.
- We will also be handing out magnets at the end of the service to promote the first 2018 event: Sunday January 14th @ 7:00pm, so I’ll need a few volunteers to be designated to passing those out by the doors as guests leave.
This Wednesday:
Series: A Very NIGHTS Christmas
Speaker: Clay Scroggins
Dinner: Qdoba
Schedule:
6:00: Set up/Hospitality/Greeter Team Lead call time - meet by West Main Closet/Kitchen
6:30: Greeter/Usher/Networker call time - DINNER BEGINS in Green Room
6:40: Guest Services team huddle
6:50: ALL Volunteer Huddle - West Main Auditorium
7:00: Head out to places
7:15: DOORS OPEN
7:40: Service Starts
8:30: Hand out magnets!
See you guys tomorrow!

December 13: TEAM A
Hey Team A!
Can you believe there’s still some snow on the ground!? I grew up in West Virginia, so my little heart has been so full since Friday’s snow day! I hope you all stayed warm & enjoyed the wonder!
Adam is speaking this week in part 3 of our Christmas at Nights service, and I can’t wait to see you all there!
A few details on tonight’s service:
- We will have a hot cocoa bar again this week (in addition to the coffee carts). The hot chocolate is being delivered in carafes at 7:00pm, and I will handle the table set up for that special station, so it shouldn’t be an additional burden to the Hospitality Team.
- We will also continue to hold doors until 7:15pm tonight, because we’re going to start the service at 7:40pm since most people arrive late.
This Wednesday:
Series: Christmas at Nights
Speaker: Adam Boyle
Dinner: Dickey’s BBQ
Schedule:
6:00: Set up/Hospitality/Greeter Team Lead call time - meet by West Main Closet/Kitchen
6:30: Greeter/Usher/Networker call time - DINNER BEGINS in Green Room
6:40: Guest Services team huddle
6:50: ALL Volunteer Huddle - West Main Auditorium
7:00: Head out to places
7:15: DOORS OPEN
7:40: Service Starts
UPDATES + REMINDERS:
Hospitality:
We are doing a hot chocolate bar this month in addition to the regular coffee station, but the hot chocolate will be catered by a local vendor, so if you guys can handle the coffee set up, I’ll take care of the hot chocolate bar!
Set Up/Tear Down:
Mallory and the Staff Team will continue to set up the room through the end of the year. We will still need the tear down teams in place as usual, but this will give everyone more time to get to the church from work, and will hopefully help take some of the weight off your team’s shoulders while we have such a small volunteer pool! :)
Networkers:
If people are looking for a way to plug in, we’d love for you to suggest volunteering at NIGHTS! We have available space on all teams, so there’s plenty of opportunities for anyone interested! We are also going to try to keep a head count of the number of first timers each week, so please keep track of the number of mugs you hand out and notify me at the end of the service. Thanks!
Greeters:
Thank you guys for continuing to create a come as you are environment for all our first time & returning guests! I’ll see you in the Green Room at 6:30pm for dinner! Keep up the great work!
See you guys Wednesday!
