Yellow & Blue
・It makes me a little sad when I see Yellow sometimes being discussed under the assumption that they’re “not a skilled fighter.”
・Yellow often prioritizes solving the situation over hitting the enemy.  – In the final battle with King Orange, Yellow is the only one who focuses on taking the staff rather than attacking the King.

 – In AvA #8, they were the only one who stayed calm and looked for a solution.

・For example, Red tends to act before thinking, while Yellow always thinks as they act. I suspect that this tendency is exactly why Yellow is sometimes seen as “not a strong fighter.”

・Red and Green have a relationship where they grow through rivalry. In contrast, Blue and Yellow are not as interested in competing with others.  (I think they enjoy sparring and contests within the Gang because it’s more like play among friends than actual competition.)  – In AvA #10, Red and Green are the first to strike the victim's Workers. Blue keeps both hands raised, clearly showing no intent to fight, until Agent appears and defeats Red and Green.

・Blue generally avoids combat.  – In the Minecraft Speedrun, Blue is the only one who clears it entirely through negotiation and… gambling, without fighting at all.  – Blue does well in the Bed War episode, but after soloing an enemy team, they don’t look proud or thrilled—they just seem relieved, like “phew, that was exhausting.” If it were Red or Green, they’d probably celebrate, dancing proudly after taking out a team on their own.

・Side note: I get so happy when Blue shines in combat! That’s one reason I really love the Bed War episode. Blue’s success there shows their cautious personality, their flexibility (also seen in their breakdancing), and their precise aim with long-range weapons. I truly adore Blue’s breakdancing. So much. ♡♡♡
・Yellow and Blue both seem like the type who care less about external competition and more about pursuing their own interests. And while their hobbies may be different, they have a relationship where they cheer each other on. (Blue doesn’t show much interest in tinkering with machines or arcade games, but no one supports Yellow’s success in those areas more than Blue does.)

I think Yellow and Blue can relax around each other as much as they do when they’re alone—and maybe even focus more deeply on their own interests when they’re together.

y’all…in stars and time is genuinely such great game. I’m in act three rn, and oh my god?!?? the way all the dialogue is just slightly different. Like, closing eye when you save. I could’ve sworn sif didnt say “your one eye” these loops are effecting me too. Siffrin no longer using as many exclamation points…the dialogue sounding more like loops. I can see Siffrin slowing going crazy and I am LIVING for it. Thank you insterdisc5, saviour of worlds, for this gift. god this will be the end of me.

An archivist found a long forgotten 8mm film reel in an old metal box, marked “Philippines 1942”. Thinking it was lost WWII footage, he sent it in to be restored/digitized. When he got the footage back, he found puppies instead (via)

Thinking about how crucial memories are in shaping identity. How past experiences, relationships, and traditions make a home in a person.
Thinking about how Siffrin forgets so much. That there is a gaping hole in their memory, so large that the lack of memory becomes part of their identity itself. He remembers bits and pieces, but it's difficult to construct an image just by feeling around the jagged edges.
Thinking about how much larger that gap must be for the King. Remembering enough to know that something's missing, but not enough to fill that void.
Thinking about how devastating it must have been for Loop and Siffrin, who based so much of their identity around the party, slowly beginning to forget them during the loops.
Thinking about how the grief of forgetting / being forgotten fuels the King's desire to freeze Vaugarde. And is part of what drove Siffrin into the time loops in the first place.
Yeah, I'm so normal about this, actually.

There’s a few things going on with this statement.
1. Assuming that low empathy makes someone a bad person. It does not. Actions are what matter, not empathy levels.
2. Demonizing autistic people whose low/no empathy they attribute to their autism. Autism fundamentally impacts the way you interact with the world, others, and yourself. That includes empathy.
Anyway I love you people with low/no empathy this is a safe space for you <3

i like working at plant store. sometimes you ring up someone and there's a slug on their plant and so you're like "Oh haha you've got a friend there let me get that for you" and you put the slug on your hand for safekeeping but then its really busy and you dont have time to take the slug outside before the next customer in line so you just have a slug chilling on your hand for 15 minutes. really makes you feel at peace with nature. also it means sometimes i get to say my favorite line which is "would you like this free slug with your purchase"

It baffles me when I see other people going through Stars and Time and they get frustrated when 1. Bonnie pushes Siffrin into the tear, and 2. Siffrin doesn't find the key in the Head Housemaiden's office and they get softlocked. There's frustration that comes out in other points as well, but those are the two situations where I've seen it be the most intense. I've seen people yell at Bonnie, yell at Mirabelle, yell at Siffrin, genuine anger and annoyance, some people will hold grudges. Say that this choice is stupid, try to find a way to avoid looping back. Usually at that point, I know I'm not exactly going to have the most fun watching them play.
I think some people trap themselves in the expectations of the medium. They're approaching it as a game first, and an expression of art or a story with people in it second. It genuinely surprises me sometimes when people treat characters as...characters, and not people. Do you not try to immerse yourself in the world and circumstances when you engage with media? Take it seriously? I see people try to justify these deaths. Most people aren't frustrated with the rock death, because they justify it as being a tutorial. At the same time, people who are already grumbling about having to go through Dormont again on loop 1... I'm not sure if this experience is for them. Considering on my completion file I ended far past loop 200... Acts 3 and 4 alone often have so much PURPOSEFUL looping, sometimes all the way back to Dormont.
People justify the softlock as a "tutorial" for the icon that shows when you cannot progress that loop...but at that point it had already been shown how tutorials were not made to be obtrusive. The fighting tutorial was centered around Mirabelle's own anxiety, an anxiety that progresses and grows throughout their journey through the house. The Bonnie taking down an enemy tutorial? That's not locked to any fight, it happens the first time that Bonnie has the chance to do so, it could happen anywhere! Adrienne could have easily coded it so that the first time the player was softlocked, the tutorial for that icon would play there. That's not the point of it. The point of it was to show how self-depricating Siffrin is, at that point in the game. How he puts so much of his self worth on his role as the trap disarmer and the key finder. How he blames himself for everything. How he sees himself as a failure. If you could just figure out where the key was if you tried really hard or something, you'd miss all of that. Almost everything in this game has a point and the point almost always is to show you more about the characters.
The game is meant to make you play through it countless times. It's meant to show you the experience of Siffrin, someone who has no choice but to go through it countless times. It's not for padding, it's not to be mean spirited or unfair or difficult, it's to give you an EXPERIENCE. When you want to fast forwards through text but you have a feeling that something might have changed and you stop just in time to see new dialogue, when you notice Siffrin's smile fading from act to act, when you make sure to pick up every souvenir from Dormont every time you loop JUST IN CASE you need to use it somewhere in the House, when you are so thrown off by the rock in the Death Corridor that you become paranoid and check every pillar afterwards just in case... and then you get the Memory of Pillars for your troubles.
When you check Loop's advice for quests you've already completed, just to see what they say about it, when you select text options that are already greyed out because you want and hope and desire there to be more to the conversation...maybe this time? When you do the friend quests again in Act 4 and you don't skip through them because you have a feeling Siffrin will be feeling differently now, and he does, and it's an entirely different experience this time. When you get the Bright Flower and you forget to give it to your party and then you go to talk to the king and see you can offer him the flower? When you bring the flower with you every loop after that just in case there's another person you can give it too and then you realize you can give it to the Head Housemaiden? That's what ISAT is about.
