“Oh, no, don’t worry!” come the words of Capella, taking off her lab coat to drape it over a chair.
“This isn’t like any of the boring movies or tv shows that everyone else likes to watch,” she pauses.
“Especially Caelum, hehe!” and with that, the woman now plops down on her chair in an almost giddy manner, soon wheeling herself over to her companion nearby. With her eyes, she continuously motions to the chair now next to her own, her smile growing wider and wider as the silence between the two continues. Eventually, however, Capella gets tired of not saying anything and adds:
“Well? Have a seat! Either the chair or the cold ground, take your pick! HAHAHAHA! No, no, I’m just kidding… But have a SEAT!” she now shouts, pushing the chair with her leg into the knees of Aspidiske, causing them to topple over into the seat now. Pleased with her companion having now sat down, she wheels herself back over to the lone TV in the middle of the main computer lab, covered in a vast amount and variety of stickers. It seems misplaced and, more than that, absolute given that anything Capella could show Aspidiske could easily be shown via a computer screen.
Cracking her fingers, Capella reaches into the pockets of her lab coat draped over her chair, pulling out a tv remote and promptly turning the TV on with a buzz. Confusion is apparent on Aspidiske’s face but frankly, it’s something that is either unnoticed or ignored by Capella herself. Instead, she begins to flick through the channels and… Upon closer inspection, some flashes of the images shown may seem quite familiar to Aspidiske.
More so in particular, the various ‘actors’ apparent on the screen.
“I thought just doing a regular environment test would be boring and not get any interesting results so…! I took it upon myself to do a little editing and whatnot! Hey, do you have a favourite subject? I can try and find the channel they’re on right now and we can see what the plot of their story is like! Hehe… Hehehahaha!!”
-------------------- It is strange, to simply close your eyes for a moment and to reopen them, only to see that you are in a new place entirely. Whether you have closed your eyes to get some well deserved shut eye or simply had to blink, the end result is the same; you are no longer in Spirale. In fact you… Aren’t really sure where you are. However, something seems… Very off; very eerie and you are quick to notice it.
Whether it be the environment itself, the over acting of the people around you or perhaps just your innate intuition, it’s become apparent that you… Are now within a movie or some sort of tv production. How did this happen; why? Well, no one can be sure, especially not many of the people stuck inside that tv screen with you.
After all, they’re just actors doing their job!
--------------------
SO, WHAT’S GOING ON?
As you may have guessed, your muse is now stuck within a movie or some sort of tv program. Capella has taken it upon herself to test the limits of her programming mods while at the same time, testing out environment changes and the reactions of the various citizens thrust into their new 'world’. While it may not be obvious right away, eventually your character will realize that they are, essentially, stuck inside a movie (or what have you) of sorts. No matter what they say or do, most of the other 'actors’ inside this realm won’t respond to their reasoning or pleas and instead, act just according to their script.
So unfortunately, no one really knows what’s going on and has no answers to provide for you. Sorry!
WAIT, SO IT HAS TO BE SOME SORT OF MOVIE?
Movie, tv show, advertisement… Heck, it could even be a recording of a popular stage play! As long as it’s something that can be played as part of a tv’s 'regular programming’, then anything goes! You are free to select the genre of what exactly your character has been thrown into to your heart’s content; an action adventure flick, a romcom movie, a sitcom with a live audience reaction… Even rubber hose cartoons are fair game! The sky is sincerely the limit with how creative you’d like to be for this event!
You can, however, have other muses be stuck in the same program as you. While your muses may be confused, everyone else in the program will behave as intended and will only become confused if you should try to explain your situation to them. For example, if you try to calm down an enemy cowboy and explain what’s happening to them, they simply won’t understand and act however their character according to the tv program would act.
CAN TWO CHARACTERS BE STUCK IN THE SAME 'PROGRAM’?
As mentioned above, yes! For this event, muses can be stuck inside a tv show together and the maximum amount of muses that can stuck together is four.
ARE WE ALLOWED TO CHANGE 'PROGRAMS’ OR CHANGE THE CHANNEL?
You can absolutely have your muse switch to another program, yes! … However, this won’t be of their own volition, unfortunately. If they are to switch between programs it’s going to be entirely random; think of it like your relative annoyingly flipping through channels on the tv until they finally find something they want to watch!
ARE WE ALLOWED TO USE AN ESTABLISHED CANON MOVIE/ETC?
No, sorry! In efforts to keep fourth wall breaks from happening and the like, you cannot use any sort of canon piece of material. However! You ARE allowed to make your own spin-offs and reference any sort of real world media if you’d like!
SO, IS THERE AN 'END' OF THE SET WE CAN HIT, LIKE A BLACK WALL?
Nope! For most of the tv shows and movies, the environment will be as vast as the 'setting'. For example, if your muse is within a western-cowboy film, then they can venture into the desert and into the towns. However, there is a point where if they venture too far, they will return to their original starting point.
This is also true for recorded stage plays and the like; the stage will stretch on for seemingly eons but will eventually circle back to the point where you first started, thus making it seem you are 'stuck' on the stage!

what flavor is your soul?
rosemary
ah, the old soul, nice to meet again. the time of ages is etched into your bones, you see clearly. you've watched the heartache in this realm and sworn to solve it. but kindness without limits is self destruction. oh little leaf, strong and wise, you seek to bring peace with your presence. I'd be wrong to say you fail at this effort, but you mustn't set yourself on fire to keep others warm. you wish to please everyone, to protect them all. but if you shield the saplings from the sunlight they will never grow, and you one day will wither. protect yourself too. you know there are no happy heroes, so don't be one. be a friend. your loved ones will not forsake you for not being perseus slaying all their demons. you have your own monsters, why not meet them first before you conquer anyone else's nightmares. oh true-hearted paladin you are brave, and you are good enough. you know that right? be true to yourself, one cannot do anything saintly if they did not tend to their own wounds first.

what is holding you back?
the inability to see the good in yourself, therefore relying on others to provide it for you
your heart is so full for the people you love. it's sweet, but you've now forgotten how to care for yourself. you only seem to see great things in the people around you. they're wonderful, and you... you don't like what you're seeing in yourself, right? you need to be reminded that you're enough. that you're talented. that you're worthy. that's partly the reason why you reach out so much. you need to hear it from the lips of someone "better" than you. but afterwards, it makes you feel even more guilty and upset. you feel like your actions are self absorbed. you're aiming for perfection because you see it in others. you're failing to see the flaws in everyone else. i promise, you're no monster. i could say this again and again, but will you believe me when i say you need to find it out for yourself?

“Ugh. Do none of them even have hobbies? Or friends?” (You’re one to talk, Kaito, you lonely ass.)
numbershunting:
“Aren’t they always.”
“Yeah, but tonight they’re especially weird. I don’t know what prompted it but they’re hung up on love again and we’re not even close to Valentine’s day. The year’s already starting out rough.”

“...Normal? Is it...customary, for the world at large to deny newcomers internet access?” Maybe it’s not just his luck, then. The powers that be work in some really mysterious ways here, ways he should figure out sooner than later.
“Hm. A Crack in God’s Armor: The Life and Writings of Rachelle Artifex by John St. Sylvester,” Kaito reads the title of the biography aloud. He hasn’t a clue who Rachelle Artifex is or was, or what she may have written. “Interesting. Are there any Spirale classics I should know about?”
numbershunting:
For a moment, he doesn’t respond, too preoccupied with his current book (a travel guide to Archimedes Ward). Then, in a library-appropriate undertone, “It’s…not a bad way to pass the time. I’d be doing this kind of research online, but the powers that be seem determined to make every Internet connection in existence break as soon as I try to use it.”
Kaito finally looks up. “What sort of novels?” Culture hints are always welcome, and he might enjoy some free entertainment when he can’t sleep but doesn’t feel safe wandering after dark.
“Internet-like issues huh, seemed normal for those who were newly arrived.” A normal dilemma for those arrived here. Lysithea understands it well as she wanted to try the internet out since she was new but all not working to its services. Gods must be clever.
“The literature and some interesting ones, even if it’s not related to my world.” She showed him a book about a famous poet around Spirale that both never knew. Lysithea only finds it interesting. There’s even more too on her side and willing to share if Kaito likes literature and stuff.

“Thanks,” he says gruffly, a grudging acknowledgement of assistance he wishes he didn’t have to ask for. It’s still so weird to him to meet someone who, apparently, hasn’t even heard of dueling before. Spirale is just a new surprise around every turn, isn’t it.
“That is...roughly how it works. How I believe it will work. Ugh, now I’m confused.” Kaito rubs his forehead a little and tries to think. Whoever took his disk and deck must value them for the weapons they truly are. Which means they must surely accept the implicit social contract of duelists who have grievances with each other: a duel to settle the matter. Right? Could they have been taken by some honorless prick who’d sooner backstab Kaito than let him win his possessions back in fair duel, or else someone who doesn’t know what they’ve stolen at all? In this damn city, all bets are off. He doesn’t know anymore.
numbershunting:
Kaito hesitates, but best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. This person looks like they actually know what they’re doing in this city, much more so than he does. Maybe they’ve seen something around?
“Yes, actually,” he says, shuffling his feet a little. Opportunity or no opportunity, it’s always rubbed him the wrong way to ask for help. “I don’t suppose you’ve seen Duel Monsters cards for sale anywhere around here? Yes, ha ha, point and laugh, but I am going to need something if I want any chance in hell of getting my normal deck back from whoever stole it.”
Was he looking for a competitive card game? Everyone had a hobby, and in their opinion it was a perfectly fine one. It was pretty sad if he was having trouble continuing it on the island.
“I haven’t kept an eye out for a name like that,” they admitted, quite free of pointing and laughing. “I’ve never had a friend into card battles either, if ‘Duel Monsters’ is exactly what sounds like.”
“So you lost your cards and need new cards to get back the old ones?” It was kind of just repeating what he said, but it was an odd line of logic to one of them.

As suddenly as the Subversion Incident came, it passed with a similar absence of fanfare. Weeks passed since the moment the copies had been either sealed away proper or eliminated, and general unrest plagued a city without as much as a peep from Ofiuco nor the scarcely known forces that kept their prison in place.
For what reason did it all occur? Was it worth all of the suffering? What would become of those that murdered their own copies in cold blood? Heavy questions like these hung over the heads of Spirale’s citizens, answers not available to them. At least, not available for the moment.
—————
Ofiuco laid flat against the table she’d first awakened on, cords and cables attached to various parts of her body. In the aftermath of the incident her presence had been requested for a diagnostic. The hearts of others. It was something she hadn’t been able to properly grasp until now, but something had changed as a result of this incident.
The sadness she felt upon seeing the citizens live out false lives paired with the tragedy she’d been asked to enforce had pushed her to act of her own volition. Sealing the clones was never meant to be an option, rather her initial orders had been to create a scenario where the otherworlders would be end up having to kill them.
Sealing? That had been by Ofiuco’s own design, and it had used up valuable resources to boot. She’d also marked each otherworlder that had been so crass as to destroy their clone with a safe alternative on the table. The marking was no bigger than a dime on their upper arm (or equivalent if they weren’t human), in the shape of a simple red ‘X’. What did it mean? The citizens didn’t know, of course.
But the island had been opened up and the incident was hardly a failure; in fact some might say it was more of a success than originally planned. Imbuing a spark of humanity in one of their machines exceeded expectations. Or perhaps it was the intention all along?
Regardless, the change in Oficuo sparked a flurry of research to be conducted over the android. Some Galaxy members were proud of her, others slightly annoyed at the extra work or complete disobedience, but they were all excited over her development. It was likely the tests and monitoring would take a while to finish conducting, but time would go on regardless and it wouldn’t be long before she saw the light of the city once more.
CLOSING NOTES
As a reward for participating in both parts of this event, we will be allowing characters to claim a weapon (or if all of their weapons are unlocked already, a small power unlock). More information regarding this will be coming soon, so keep an eye on the Ask the Galaxy blog.
Remember that because the rerun took place within the Intraspace, no items or anything can be brought from it into the real city. Digital data like photos or videos will be corrupted. But that doesn't mean you won't be able to regain that in the future...

If I were...me, where would I try to hide?
Kaito was incredulous when he heard the mysterious voicemail, but the fact that he seems to have lost over a week of time dispelled any doubts that there must be some truth to its story. A double, himself if he was native to Spirale. Sabotaged. Increasingly irrational and hostile. And Kaito has to take him down himself.
Fuck, he hopes he’ll be able to manage it without a deck.
He’s jarred out of his thoughts by someone small plowing directly into him, their own momentum knocking them to the ground. “Oh, Rika,” he starts, recognizing the face, but she cuts him off, snapping that she needs to go and running off. With...some sort of cube thing?...and a card left behind.
“Rika! You dropped something!” he tries to call after her, but it’s too late. She’s disappeared into the city crowd. Dammit.
...And then there is another, identical voice behind him. He whirls around to find...Rika. Again.
Ah. Maybe he does know what this is about.
“No,” he says, shortly, picking up the pair of objects and handing them to her. “They’re...yours, actually. Or your doppelganger’s. She just ran headlong into me and didn’t notice she’d dropped them. Are you giving chase?”
“Okay… weird, but this can’t be all that different from hunting Digimon back home.” Rika mutters once she completely takes in the contents of the voicemail she received.
“Yes, except we must take precaution not to delete these other selves of ours.” Renamon states in response as xir tamer gathers her things and then follows her out the door, once she’s ready to go. They leave their living space together and Renamon tries to sense for the presence of their doubles. It was only logical that at least the other Renamon could be detected since xe still must be a Digimon in some essence, right?
Rika’s brain goes to that same logic as she looks at the screen of her digivice, hoping that it would be able to detect the digital being. There isn’t anything yet so Rika just nods to her partner to proceed forward with her to search the old fashioned way.
It was a good idea too since as she walks through Fibonacci, she witnesses a surreal sight. She spots herself, running away towards the boundaries of the ward as if in a hurry to get to the neighboring Cotes ward. But, in her rush, she isn’t paying attention to passerby and bumps into a blonde boy in a coat, a collision enough to cause the girl to fall to the ground. “Get out of my way! I need to go! I need to make sure xe’s okay and you’re in my way!“ She rudely says to him as she picks herself up, not even bothering to check on the other person before she runs off and thus, doesn’t notice that she drops a cube and a card from her pocket.
Rika grimaces while watching herself get further away and internally berates herself for not taking her bike so that it would be a more fair chase. But, she should probably be more courteous to the person that had to witness such rash behavior and so, she casually walks up to him and the closer she gets, she realizes that its a familiar person. “Huh, seems we keep running into each other.“ She says to him and then glances at the two objects on the ground. “What’s that? Did you drop more toys that go with your silly arm toy thing?”
