the semantic drift of the term "liminal" genuinely pisses me off and i know its petty. LIMINAL IS A TRANSITIONAL STAGE BETWEEN TWO STATES- OR. IF WE WANT TO WIDEN THE BOUNDARY HERE. dai could stand to lean further into it but the little things showing how little privacy the inquisitor gets from the inquisition are sooo good. the iron bull walk-in scene kind of implies not knocking is normal procedure for the advisors. every letter the inquisitor gets goes through the advisors first. everywhere the inquisitor goes there are scouts and soldiers around them. the last two times they had sure privacy were either a) before they spent three days unconscious with other people caring for their body and then woke up surrounded by soldiers or b) when they were freezing to death in a blizzard. they are neverrrr for certain alone its awesome
