Got half the tailight wiring done and built the headache rack. I bought a pocket hole jig and it was neat. Glued the wood together with construction adhesive and pulled it together with the pocket screws.
Next step is to torch it and coat it with the oil/diesel mix and get it attached.

Took the throttle body off today because it was throwing throttle position sensor codes on the check engine, and the engine was rocking a bit. Some googling said replace the TPS so I ordered it. The screws holding it in were a bitch, I had to use mini vice grips!... Need carb cleaner to clean it up a bit, and a small piece of rubber hose to replace a worn out one.

Amelia helped me change the outer tie rod end that I've been soaking in PB Blaster for 4 days.
We got the adjusting sleeve loose and used a 24" adjustable to take the old one off, then put the new one in.
Measurements from lip of adjustment sleeve to center of tie rod end stud was 4 inches.
Reconnected the steering to the knuckle and tightened outer tie rod nut to 60lbs...then backed off 1/4 turn to put the cotter pin in.
Added the grease fitting with 1/8 mmmm wrench hand tightened and then Amelia helped me add some Grease. She thought it was cool to see the boot expand as it filled up.
Next step is to put the fender flares back in once I wash them and reattach with some new screws.

Had to take the exhaust manifold BACK OFF and tap the Flange threads to 7/16-14. Should have done it before... Anyways.
Got the thing off, tapped, and put back on torqued to 18 lbs moving center to outside alternating. Then lined up the new y-pipe from walker after putting new 02 sensor in and started the nuts on the Flange to hold it up. Got the new catalytic converter onto the ypipe and attached with a 2 1/4 exhaust u clamp.
Also got the new front brake line from the master cylinder on, and the one that connects from wheel to wheel. Custom fit lines from online tube on Amazon nearly flawless fit.
Next steps are to torque exhaust Flange to 30 lbs each and plug 02 sensor in.
Need to get a new passenger tie rod end, brake hose clips, muffler and tailpipe, exhaust hangers and some new screws to attach the fenders.
New issues noticed...... The exhaust manifold had a single drop of green coolant on it when I went to take it off earlier. Looks like maybe head gasket 🤔

Got the passenger side spindle back on with new 7/16-20 spindle stud nuts from kartec offroad. They were a bitch to find the all metal fine thread stover nuts. Thanks @kartecoffroad!
Then put the new rotor on, and had a fuck of a time getting the outer snap ring into the groove. Ended up putting prybar in the outer ujoint and having wife pull on it while I used a chisel and hammer to tap it into the groove... Zero room for error on that.
Finished putting the manual warn hub back on and bam... That shit is fine.
Next step is to get the new shock in, new caliper and hose, and new brake line to connect drivers to passenger side brakes.
Stuff I still need...
Passenger side out tie rod end,
Exhaust ypipe
Cat back exhaust and hangers
Rear upper gas tank straps
New bed
