An adventurous night

Hey Everybody! 

So, for next week's critique at school, the theme was chiaroscuro. So, i decided I was gonna do something I've never done before. A lingerie shoot. I called my friend who I knew would have no problem modeling this for me and we headed to the studio. We both got really into the shoot and, the pictures turned out great! Unfortunately I can't post any on here to respect her privacy. But I put a picture I took of her yesterday in the courtyard, so you can all gaze upon her beautiful face.

A night at the barn

Hey Everyone, 

For one of my projects at school, we had to do a night time shoot. So,  a classmate and I packed up our gear and headed out to a barn close by. We arrived in time for the sunset and then waited for the stars to come out. It was loads of fun! Although at 9 o'clock in late october, it's quite chilly! Here's a peak at some of the photos I took!

Just a tidbit about me

Hello! My name is Megan Lemoine; I love winter nights, snowstorms, dogs, swimming, horses, close friends, music, family and of course photography.

Ever since I was old enough to operate our family’s camera, I have always been behind the lens. I remember my first camera was a little instant film camera I got for Christmas when I was 8 years old. I took so many pictures with it. Although, I didn’t fall in love with photography until after I took my first photography class in grade 7. After that class I was hooked. I took photography as an elective all through Jr. High and high school. I’ve learned so much in the past 6 years, but I have barely scratched the surface of what can be done with a camera. I’m currently taking photography at NAIT. It’s only been two months, but I’ve learned so much and I’m so excited to learn all that they can teach me! 

I love taking pictures of people.  It amazes me how one picture can tell you so much about who that person was at that exact moment in time. People change so quickly and you will never be who you were in that photograph ever again. That's why I would love to be a portrait photographer. I would like to take picture of ; weddings, maternity, toddlers, kids and families. I'm also interested in  photojournalism at this moment, but who knows? Maybe I'll discover a type of photography that will steal my heart. I definitely keeping my options open.
