When I was a kid, a family friend had a toddler who was obsessed with Shrek for a while. Shrek needed to be playing at all times. He didn't often watch the movie actively, but he needed to be able to hear the characters and to see them when he looked over. These were the DVD days, which meant the movie had to be manually restarted by an adult every few hours. Otherwise the toddler would wander around tearfully, asking "Where Shek :( ?" over and over.

All of this to say, this is what fandom has turned me into. If I don't see jesters constantly, I become distressed. Where Sun and Moon :(? Where Eclipse :(?

Then I see them :) There they are :) and I am happy :)
