Spent the weekend of May 27th in Davenport quail watching and checking out Lake Roosevelt Winery. The location of the winery was great, right next to Whitestone on a bluff above Lake Roosevelt. I haven't had the chance to go back yet but I definitely will, hopefully by boat next time.

Stopped at Vantage on my way back from Seattle May 26th. First time I've hiked up to the Wild Horse Monument, definitely worth it for the view.

May 18 Bear Canyon hike in the Oak Creek Wildlife Area at the bottom of White Pass on the Naches side. The area had an interesting mix of vegetation where you could walk past cottonwoods and fifty yards later encounter sagebrush.

In January I started traveling for work full time which has involved driving across southern Washington and northern Oregon every week. Although it’s a lot of time on the road I’ve had the chance to see and go to a lot of places I wouldn’t normally go. I only recently started keeping my camera in my truck and decided to create a photoblog to document all the interesting and beautiful things I see on the road.
On January 5th I stopped by Palouse Falls on the way back from the Tri Cities. The temperature hadn’t been above freezing in weeks and the high for the day was 15 F which created a unique opportunity to see the falls frozen. It’s hard to pass up an opportunity like that.
