Maleficent smirked, and walked over to a fallen branch to sit on. Such a care free child, one of happiness and beauty as one should be.

     "The sun wasn't, indeed. However it is still in the sky, is it not? A simple walk would not pass hours at a time, Aurora."

       "My my, you can fly with your powers, without wings? That's truly impressive for a.. mutant. So you are neither human nor faerie, but a mutant? I can't say I'm familiar with the word, or your people for that matter. I am impressed."

       "Others like me, you ask? There are many faeries in the Moors, though none quite like me. My wings are big, strong, and never faltered. Not once in all my years of living have they ever let me down, I can trust them. As for me.. No, I can't say there's another quite like me. Not human nor faerie, though I couldn't call myself a mutant, so I think I'll stick with faerie."

       Maleficent hummed, and twirled the green magic around her hand before allowing it to disapate once more. She moved to circle around Erik, simply taking in the way he held himself even around a woman he's never met, nor heard of. He was a proud man, that much was evident, and his stature never waved.

      "Would you call yourself old for a mutant? No harm to you, but for a human you're quite a lot older than any I've seen. Or do you mutants simply live your lives in this state of being? Old? Do tell.."

     ”That is the complication. I am not a human, I am a mutant. And I happen to not be the only  one in existence, however I am the only one who has my ability. There may be other’s with talents similar, but no two mutants are exactly  alike.”

     The corners of his mouth moved down slightly, lips puckering in thought before the mutant slowly shoot his head.       ”I have several different ways that I can manipulate my powers, they give me several different abilities. I can control the most insignificant particles  of metal in the atmosphere.” He waved a hand as if to gesture around himself.      ”I can even give myself magnetic  flight. It is a pleasure to meet you,  Maleficent. Are there others like you, or are you the only one of your kind?”

Maleficent made an over-dramatic sound of amazement, not quite mocking and not quite genuine. The sprites skated across the water, leaving waves of pink and blue in their wake.

    "I'm sure they were waiting for you to come back."

Maleficent gasped, and took a step forward. A human could move metal? By simply thinking? She moved to touch the floating object, but hesitated when she could feel the burn of iron against her skin. Hmm.

     "Your tricks are amusing, Erik. Though your second name still may be up for discussion. Is this all you can do? Or is this just a glimpse of the extent of your power?"

     "It's very impressive for a human such as yourself to be able to do something such as this, I will give you that much. And myself? I am Maleficent, and only Maleficent, guardian of the Moors, and respectively a faerie.. Of sorts."

     ”Well, my dear, I am not just an old man, as I appear to be.  Just as you have your tricks, I also have mine.”      The mutant took a cuff link off of his sleeve, watching it levitate in his palm with ease. This was not his first rodeo,  certainly he could hover a tiny piece of metal with no  problem.      ”The manipulation of  metal, hence my second name.  And yours?”

She hums,    "I suppose it is.      Lead the way, then."

She hummed, and tilted her head. He took on another name, apart from his given on? Odd.

"Erik Lehnsherr, mm? Otherwise know as.. Ma--gneto? What is your purpose for your second name?"

     There was a pause, but only to allow himself to look around him briefly, then he took a deep breath.      ”My name is Erik  Lehnsherr, although I am  commonly known as  Magneto.”
