Nowi is another character I love smh

She’s got a shiny Dragalge here mostly because I personally feel like Dragalge looks the closest to Nowi’s dragon self. Banette is here not out of anything sinister to the Pokémon but because originally it had once been a child’s toy, and she as a person is just very childish and would be the type to go around collecting toys. Pichu’s inclusion here goes more off her childishness too; it’s mostly a reference to the Pichu Bros shorts from the cartoon featuring two mischievous but well-intentioned Pichu brothers that get into all sorts of nonsense trying to have a good time. Ninetails is here because the Dex cites it as living for a very long time and I figure she’d like to have at least one Pokémon around that can last a little longer with her and her ridiculous lifespan than most, and Flygon and Dragonite are obvious callbacks to… Her… Being a dragon smh

"..Nowi?" Tharja called the other's name with a sigh, resting her chin in the palm of her hand as she looked toward the petite woman. "..Why do you always insist on hanging around me? On showing me affection? I don't get it..."

Nowi smiled, a small blush on her cheeks as she stood next to Tharja- though many shied away from the dark mage, Nowi was an exception. Whenever Tharja needed help with a spell, Nowi was eager to help- and aside from that she was always happy to talk with her or just be near her. It had taken her some time to fully understand why herself. Tharja was pretty, that much was certain. But there was more to it than just that.

Tharja was strong, and kind on the inside, and a little bit prickly but Nowi didn’t mind that. She was smart and knew what she wanted out of life- even if it did make the manakete jealous sometimes.

Nowi gasped when she saw the stone in Robin’s hand- she’d been looking all over for it! And he’d found it!

“Oh, thanks so much! I was so scared I’d lost it!”

She wiped her eyes- she hadn’t realized she was close to tears until then- and takes the stone back, smiling up at the tactician as she places it securely back into its proper place at her neck.
