Inspired by my favorite Goldberry moment in The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, when she pulls him into the river and steals his feathered hat. I like to think she still has a mischievous streak even after they get married.

Well, maybe not just as promised. It kinda lacks the second, better coloured version but I’ll be honest and say that I’ve ruined it. Please, do not let me use golden paint never again D:

And who is that? “One particularly grouchy son of Feanor” with his spear, terrible straw hat (although mine is not quite so terrible, I am sorry) and one artificial leg in a form of a blackbird. Bird personification suits Maglor quite well, I thought. And I deeply enjoyed author’s take on that. And here we are! <3

Coloured version (without the background, I’ve ruined it two times in a row). A bit worse than a draft, yet still existing, so you can take a look :D. I know blackbirds are… quite… BLACK, but I wanted Maglor to have a bit more colour.

Thanks for tagging me @trashipsinc! I also was tagged by someone back when this went around a month ago and at the time I didn't have one that I wanted to be my WIP. Now... well, this is from the alternate dimension where I admit that I cannot do plot and emotion and throw slow burn to the winds and instead turn the last 8-10 chapters of What Brings Us Together into 100% smut.

I take my wallet out of my pocket and unfold it. It is empty other than a single moth that lazily flies out. The moth lands on the tap point of the card reader. There's a beat, and my payment is processed. The moth flies back into my wallet and I put it back in my pocket.

Elf names got more complicated as parents strove to create new ones instead of handling the political whiplash of reusing an old one. So if you meet an elf called ‘silver-river-water-voice’ they’re pretty young, but if some guy says ‘hi I’m Tree’ you best believe that bitch is ancient.

something that’s really cute in lotr i that every time it says “and sam thought words were useless here” that’s actually tolkien realising he needs to put on his big boy pants and find words anyway. and the words he finds then catapult you into the 5th dimension
