*She starts cleaning up the dishes in the sink, washing them and setting them on a rack to dry.*

"well this was a very good choice then!"

*Icia sighs and dusts a little flour off her cheek.*

Well! Now we just have to wait.

"yep! Man I haven't had cookies in forever!"

*Icia beams and nods. CUE BAKING MONTAGE WITH VINTAGE MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND*

*Yippie!*

*Icia nods, pulling out a roll of parchment paper from a drawer.*

Luckily, I don't usually use baking spray for much else than, well, cooking, heh.

"perfect! lets get started then!"

Hmm... I'm thinking about the sort of soft where it's solid in your hands, but you bite into it and it feels like the whole cookie is breaking off in warm, soft chunks... fluffy also sounds amazing in general.

"alright then everything should be basically the same except the butter and chilling the dough for maybe 15 to 30 minutes before popping it into the oven, if you have any way of not using cooking spray, like disposable or reusable baking sheets that would also help a lot."

*man she talks a lot more than you realized.*

That's a fun way of thinking of it!

Well- we have the ingredients out. I generally just stick to the recipe book- I like keeping things the same, usually- but, if you have any unique ideas, feel free to just go for them and have fun!

"what kind of soft are we thinking for the cookies? because there's a few ways to do it, there's fluffy and cakey by adding a bit more flour, theres also chewey or fudgey kinda like biting into a brownie. we can also make them fluffy by chilling the dough and making sure the butter is soft, not melted, not cold like the perfect spreadable consistency."

*she shrugs and nods.*

"definitely has me feeling like some kind of scientist heh"

*She puts the limoncello back in the fridge and sips it slowly while measuring out ingredients.*

So, how do you like to make your cookies, hm? Any special technique or secret ingredient to make them perfect?

"I mostly just have my own recipes for things, I like to experiment with a new recipe a lot from time to time. It's mostly just a lot of trial and error and not every batch will turn out the same even if you do everything exactly the same."

It's a sort of lemon liqueur from Italy, usually served after dinner and with dessert. Just another little taste of my old life that I'm bringing to my new one-

Oh, and before you ask, this is non-alcoholic, so no worries there.

*She already seems to be pouring herself a little shotglass of it... a sweet lemon aroma fills the air.

"oh no thank you but thank you for the offer."

*Icia gazes lovingly as he leaves and pulls out some ingredients from the kitchen, along with a bottle filled with some bubbling yellow liquid.*

Nymn, care for some limoncello?

*... limoncello?*

"uh what?"

*Icia softly chuckles.*

Who says you can't be passionate about it all? A jack of all trades is better than a master of one.

he picks up Ramira and coos at her as he leaves to the living room.

"yeah I love baking, I would probably open somekind of bakery if I could. maybe not, I'm not sure I have so many hobbies I can't tell what I'm actually passionate about."

Perfect! And it also gives us some time to let our stomachs settle. Lance, could you get the flour, sugar, baking soda, and chocolate out and prepped? The measurements are in the book.

*She lays the cookbook flat open, scanning the page before going to the fridge.*

"I wouldn't mind helping out, give lance a break with his cats heh."
