Some Epithets of Aphrodite
Nymphia (Bridal) - Describing the goddess as one who reigns over marriage, namely the ones performed out of love.
Ourania (Heavenly) - Associating Aphrodite with spiritual love as opposed to her epithet of “Pandemos”, which represents sexuality. As the goddess equally represents both love of the soul and the body. This name also alludes to her being born from the flesh of Uranus, god of the heavens.
Pandemos (Of All The People) - Aphrodite’s epithet of sexuality. However, this epithet was originally an extension of the idea of the goddess of family and city life to include the whole people, the political community.
Pasiphaessa (Far-Shining) - Describing Aphrodite as the Morning Star, goddess of Venus. Thus connecting her with the “shining dawn”.
Khruse (Golden) - Aphrodite is pure, unblemished beauty. She is described as incorruptible and perfect in appearance, golden and like the Sun.
Areia (Warlike) - A form in which Aphrodite was depicted in full armour. This describes Aphrodite in her connection to battle, as she has command over the Fates and is filled with courage and power. This is tied with her epithet of Nikephoros (“victory bearer”). Can also be associated with the fact that love makes us do terrible things for those we care about deeply. We die and kill for love, love is power.
Suriê theos (Syrian Goddess) - Aphrodite is one of the several Greek gods to be brought over from the Middle East. She was back then, known as Astarte who had originally been Ishtar/Inanna. This explains the goddess’ connection to war and might, but the Greeks seemed to prefer her aspects of love and beauty.
Morpho (Fair-shaped) - Aphrodite represented as a most comely woman with round breasts and wide hips. Sometimes shown seated. It is said that no one was able to resist Aphrodite’s beauty.
Androphonos (Killer of Men) - Epithet of Aphrodite as the slayer of soldiers on the battle field. Though could also refer to destructive passion, such as rage.
Peitho (Persuasive) - Aphrodite’s words were spoken like honey, she has great power in her speech and is cunning. This skill of hers can often be used to either get her way or to settle matters peacefully.
Dôritis (Bountiful) - Depicting Aphrodite’s role of abundance of all kinds, her gifts are endless. From fertility, growth, joy, pleasure, love, and more.
Anosia (Unholy) - An epithet describing the darker nature of Aphrodite. She is the goddess of seduction, indulgences, bloodshed, grief, rage, and feminine wit. She is the femme fatale of the Greek gods and knows that her power is limitless.
Philopannyx (Night-loving) Aphrodite is closely associated with both day and night. The night is especially sacred to Aphrodite due to it being the time in which humans usually make love.
Apostrophia (Averter of Unlawful Desires) - Showing Aphrodite as the one who stops unlawful feelings of lust; protecting from adultery, rape, and other uncontrolled harmful passions. This may seem a bit ironic as Aphrodite herself left her husband (albeit forced husband), but it is best to realize these are simply stories the Greeks came up with, and do not represent actual events.
Basilis (Queen) - An epithet representing the power and regalness of Aphrodite. She is the Mother of Desire and has connection to the Heavens, Earth, and Underworld. She is limitless and flows through every emotion.

Aphrodite says that you’re beautiful and handsome and good-looking and reminds you to drink some water and take care of yourself. Those things about your body that you don’t like are a part of you and therefore are worthy of all the love in the universe. They’re what make you you and Aphrodite wouldn’t have it any other way.

Divination Tips for Beginners
Divination can be hard and draining, it takes up a lot of energy. For those who are still new to it, it can really drain you and result in headaches and frustrations. Here are some tips to help all you beginners out with divination and how draining it can be.
Drink plenty of water, being dehydrated is not fun and especially not when you are using so much energy
Take a shower or bath before any divination work to help cleanse yourself
Meditate before big divination work to help center and ground yourself
Crystals good for divination and psychic work: nuummite, amethyst, amazonite, fluorite, and aqua aura quartz
Clear Quartz is a good energy booster and can help you feel less drained after divination
Drink some black tea to help ground yourself and give yourself extra energy for divination work
If you are starting to feel tired during divination, that is okay, take a break or take a nap. Forcing yourself to keep going will only exhaust you further and make everything more difficult. You deserve breaks
It is okay to use notes during divination, don’t worry what others say. Its not ‘unprofessional’, even veterans in divination use notes. Keep a notebook with you full of different meanings of cards or stones or runes, take notes as you go, write down your thoughts and keep it near you every time you practice.
Yellow is the color of divination, keep yellow things around you to help. Yellow blanket(s), yellow pillows, yellow candles, yellow pieces of paper; anything you can find. Purple is also another color good to help with psychic abilities and awareness
Herbs good for divination and psychic work: cinnamon, lemon, cherry, lettuce, grapes, orange (orange peel), mint, pumpkin, celery, lemon balm, catnip, thyme, rose, seaweed, star anise, mullein, mugwort and rosemary can all help you. Bake with them, eat them, use them in teas or keep them near you in a sachet or jar
Stretch and take little walks. Sitting for a long time can be killer and make you sore. Stretch your legs and take little five or ten minute walks during long readings and psychic work. Muscle and joint stiffness is never fun
Rather than trying to tackle large readings every day, do small ones. Like a few questions to your pendulum, pull a single card, draw a crystal from a bag, etc. Small daily practices can help you in the long run without exhausting you.
Open a window and let some fresh air in while you work, it will do wonders, especially since air is the element associated with divination work.
Keep a small bowl or cup of salt near you, it will absorb the negative energy about you especially if you are feeling frustrated
Moon water is great for divination: drink it, make tea with it, spray the room with it, anoint yourself with it, keep it near you, etc
Cleanse your space before divination work, again it will keep negativity away from you
Cleanse and charge your divination tools regularly, it really helps in the long run. Put them in the moonlight at night (especially during full moons), keep salt near them, smoke cleanse them if you can, burn white candles, use crystals/gems, etc
Its okay if you get confused and don’t know how to interpret something. Take notes on it and with time it may become more clear to you. Don’t force yourself to try to understand
Mistakes happen, you won’t always be 100% right on things. No one is, divination is not a certain thing. Things change all the time, its okay. Don’t let it get you down.
If you are tired, sick, stressed, or anything else and don’t feel like doing divination work that is fine. Its okay, you don’t have to do it all the time. Especially not if you are feeling unwell and tired. Rest and take care of yourself, you can continue practice another time
If you use tools in your work like mirrors, tea cups/mugs, cards, crystals, etc try to bond with them. Creating a bond with your tools can improve your divination quite a bit
You don’t have to practice on other people, you can do it for yourself and your own questions. Its an old wive’s tale that you can’t use tarot or divination on yourself, you definitely can
Try to get a good nights sleep before and after divination
Once you finish, treat yourself. Get something to eat, watch a movie or show you like, curl up with a book, snuggle into a blanket, play with your pets, take a nap; do whatever makes you happy. You did a good job and deserve some time to rest and recharge afterwards

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓
🕊 Be your authentic self, masculine or feminine, or both. It doesn’t matter, but what does matter is being utterly and authentically you.
💫 Use natural products for your body. With ingredients like herbs, flower water, or minerals. Don’t forget to also consume fruits and vegetables. The Mother Gaia has so many great things to offer.
🏹 Practice self care. Not just face masks and salt baths, but those are nice too. Go out into nature, focus on your passions, regularly do things that make you exuberant & ludic. Anything from listening to your favorite musicians to distancing yourself from negativity.
✨ Romanticize your life. Everything you do is lovely, you just can’t see it because you’ve been you for so long. But from another point of view, every action of yours is exquisitely beautiful.
🌫 Create the reality you desire, start doing things that you want your life to revolve around. It’s true, you can make your life whatever you desire it to be. Look into the Law Of Attraction, you’ll like it.
🌙 Find solitude. A place to calm your mind, meditate, and silence loudness of life in order to “restart” so that new ideas can blossom. Make your own altar, or your own sanctuary. Clearing your mind for new ideas is key. As the wise Keith Richards once said, “A painter’s got a canvas. The writer’s got reams of empty paper. A musician’s got silence.”
🌬 Make your own style. Who gives a damn what people around you think of it. Start dressing and accessorizing like you’ve always dreamt of. A line that I like to live by is “Don’t dream it, be it.” from the iconic Rocky Horror Picture Show.
🦢 Have good hygiene. Take care of your skin, take showers, take care of your teeth. And my personal favorite, use scented lotions and perfumes.
⚡️ Be kind, be love. It creates good karma. It’s such a beneficial thing to live by. “Life is a celebration of love, and where there is love, we must live on. And where there is not love, we must provide it.” - Josh Kiszka
And don’t forget that it’s okay if you’re not mentally and physically motivated enough to do all of that yet, darling. Everyone has to start somewhere, just start with baby steps. Eventually you’ll find the flow of your beautiful journey in this life. Be proud of yourself, you’ve come a long way.

Lovely moments in life ✨
walking on the sand beside the ocean during dusk and hearing the waves lapping the shore
taking a train to somewhere far away for a day
lying in freshly fallen snow in a big fluffy coat
having someone who you can talk to about anything and tells you their favourite songs
indulging in a tub of ice cream in one sitting and not letting yourself be guilty afterwards
climbing into a warm bed at a reasonable time after a tiring but satisfying day
doing something cozy and comforting like fruit-picking, painting a beautiful scenery or having a picnic in a flower field
waking up to the warm morning light through your curtains and hearing the birds chirping
getting lost in a book for hours on end
taking the afternoon off to make chocolate chip cookies and then eating them fresh out of the oven

like i said in the bio, this page isn't always going to be about devotion. stories & rants also. but it's story/rant time at the moment.
last night i snuck out to look at the stars. i texted my mother and told her.
she came out and looked at them with me. i showed my her where the small but clear sliver of the milky way was and the other constellations that were viewable. she suggested that we go up to the driveway to get a better view of the planets that were out then (i think saturn, mercury, venus, jupiter, and the crescent moon).
i was so lost in the beauty that i didn't see a car drive past me. when it did (and my mother said these exact words: "we should go stand in the road to see"). naturally, i went out to the road, smiling continuously up at the sky.
few seconds pass by and my mother's all 'get out of the road, we're going back to the porch.' i refused. little did i know that my insufferable father was standing on the porch with his hands on his hips. i knew what was going to happen. he yells, in the middle of the fucking night 'how about you get your ass back up here?'.
i was shocked that he had actually done it.
reluctantly, i walked back up to the porch and got lectured a little bit on how i shouldn't go outside without letting one of them know. and that ended there.
my mom went and got my cassini telescope out of my room and set it up. my dad was sitting on the other side of the porch just staring at the grass.
looked through the scope a few times, and then my mom took it and went back inside.
i look up at the sky and my dad breaks the beautiful silence of the night and says 'why'd you come out here on your own?'
i went back inside, him following behind me.
he makes me sit down on the couch and literally yells at me about it. and as i dont like being yelled at for any reason, i start crying and yelling back at him explaining that i went out there to be alone and to find some kind of tranquility in the heavens above.
he said that was okay. after he'd yelled at me for being out there without supervision to make sure i didn't have a "moment" (i have a mental condition but that's not important).
my mom tries to calm both of us down and i eventually try walking away, but my dad grabs my arm and sits me back on the couch. again with the yelling but i just sat there and took it. crying and looking in the opposite direction trying to calm down. last i remember him saying was getting one of those door opening detector things. told him it was his money that he was wasting and i said i'd let him know the next time i went out.
that whole escapade lasted like 20 minutes give-or-take.
again, i got up and left. i stopped at the kitchen counter gasping for breath after holding in so many tears. i eventually made it to my room, sat on the floor, and cried against the edge of my bed. very audible, i must say.
mom came in to "comfort" me. she touched me and i lashed out, pulling back and saying "dont fucking touch me."
she gave me a lecture on how i shouldn't speak to my mother like that. after what had just happened? yeah, sure thing chief.
i got up, went to my bathroom and rinsed my face with some water. came back out and my mom was still standing there. everything she said was repetitive and i just stayed silent. she left to get something and i grabbed some pictures of me & my older brother. it didnt help much but it calmed me a bit. mom came back, said she was going to bed and that was that.
with his graduation picture in hand, i had the audacity to walk back into the living room and start shit again by asking my dad if he was serious about the whole door alarm thing. lmao, he was.
and i repeated so many times that i'd tell him if i went back out in the future.
both of us lashing out again. all i remember was my mom getting involved saying that we needed to calm down and he was drunk (which he was) and he calling himself the "BaD gUy," which he ALWAYS does. he said he loved me & tried hugging me. i just stood there in silence.
he backed off and sat back down saying 'or not.'
i walked away and said "you started this. and i'll be the one to end it."
literally all i wanted was peace and quiet.
then it turned into that.
if you're still reading to this point; thanks, i think...❤
may the Mother guide you 💐💕
