     the heartless weren’t strong, but there were so many of them. every time she defeated one, two–––– or three–––– or four appeared in its place. she had quickly figured out that she couldn’t handle them on her own, and, as if someone had heard her thoughts, she wasn’t alone anymore.

     she’d been doing a pretty good job of pretending she wasn’t tired, in her opinion. but, even kee couldn’t do very much about the way her head started to droop and her feet started to drag–––– it had even gotten to the point where she couldn’t stifle her yawns anymore but, at least she seemed to be able to hide the definitive proof of her exhaustion from others.

     except oblivion. she couldn’t ever seem to hide anything from oblivion.

     maybe that was why she wasn’t really surprised at all when he lifted her off of her feet, maneuvering her onto his back without much problem. for a moment, she pouted and it seemed like she was going to say something, but she wrapped her arms around his neck to keep herself steady and stayed silent.

     she leaned her head on his shoulder, already beginning to doze off. she was more grateful than she’d wanted to show on her face, and she wasn’t going to sleep without letting him know that.

“ it’s no fun if there isn’t a little risk! ” she jokes, tapping Kee’s nose playfully.

but she can’t really bear to see Kee getting upset - the girl was probably to young to understand that it was all a big joke - and if she kept this up she probably wouldn’t get any cookies when they were done.

“ i’m just pretending Kee, i swear. no razors. ” windi probably wouldn’t know a razor blade if it bit her, truth be told. she holds up her littlest finger and reaches it out to her. “ pinky-swear. ”

She hardly moved when Windi tapped her nose, but she watched closely as she held out her pinky towards her. Kee stared at it for several long moments, slowly moving to place the bowl back on the counter.

Kee held her own pinky out, reaching for Windi’s. She paused again, but didn’t draw it back. She held it there for Windi to shake, turning the action back on her with a correction.

“ maybe i’ll put razorblades in everything but the first one, ” she counters, poking Kee teasingly. “ then you won’t notice. ” Windi’s trying to make it sound like she actually has razorblades and the intent to put them in the batter, though she really has no idea where to find such a thing (and she’s well aware that simply switching forms would be a much better way to hurt people).

“ and i’ll leave it out of the second one too, so you can’t check. ” her hand rests in her pocket like she’s about to pull the razors out of them; it’s all a joke, though, Windi wouldn’t do that to poor Kee and her cookies (maybe she would to someone else’s),

Kee held the bowl close, as if she was guarding it from Windi. ❛ Well then I’ll check them all! ❜ She knew that wasn’t possible. If she checked all the cookies, then she couldn’t give them to anyone else. But, maybe Windi would believe it enough not to put any razor blades in them.

She almost squealed when she saw Windi reach her hand into her pockets. She held the bowl behind her back, pouting. ❛ Well-well-well you can’t put them in if I don’t let you have the bowl! ❜

Her question died when she saw Windi’s heels raised up off the ground, and she couldn’t help but cross her arms.

Kee tried to stand up on her toes, but she could only hold herself up for so long before she fell back to flat feet. She couldn’t help the pout that spread across her face, and she tried to reach up to pull on DP’s scarf to bring him down to her level.
