Maybe I missed it, but was it ever explained where Hurrem was when she was kidnapped in episode 102-103? Also how much time passed?

Why don't people like Nurbanu? Is it because she's seen as Hurrem's enemy/replacement? They're a lot alike so I honestly feel like people would have loved her.

I love Mahidevran but labeling her as anti-system/authority is an odd position to take. Neither she, nor Hatice, come close, and it makes sense why.
Hatice was born at the top of the system, and even in her anger against Suleyman and Hurrem, is given a lot of grace and pardons for being the sister of the sultan.
As for Mahidevran, we have no idea what she was like when first brought to the palace, but the system had been favorable on her and she enjoys the comforts she has because of it. Until she doesn't and then it's a problem. There's no epiphany, no sudden light she decided to follow.
We're introduced to Hurrem from the very beginning, going from a free women to a slave being sold. It's understandable why she doesn't take to being told "this is the way it is and you have to play by it." Especially when, at least in MC, she quickly captures Suleyman's attention.
Hurrem undoubtedly changed the mold, but did not break it. She had power and prestige that the women before her didn't have, but only because Suleyman allowed it. She was anti-authority because it was against her, and once she became the authority, became part of enforcing the system.
Women following the system in MC shouldn't be a mark against their character (at least IMO). And if this argument is going to be made for anyone, I personally think it makes more sense for Safiye and Kosem, who still had to oblige by customs and traditions.
We were talking with @desmoonl and… It is so funny when Mahidevran and Hatice fans position them as anti-authority anti-system rebels because they are critical of Süleyman by the end of their lives. They were only against Süleyman because they lost at the game, not because they were more cognizant of the system’s problems.
Episode 1 Hürrem screaming that she is not an animal had more rebellion in her little finger than Hatice had in her entire body for her entire life. (I can’t speak as confidently on Mahidevran yet since I haven’t yet finished the show).
