Introduction
Hello! My name is Steven Goodman, and I consider myself a hardcore Star Wars fan. I’ve been absorbing the stories and lore of Star Wars since the original EU books. My personal favorite is the Bane Trilogy. Unfortunately, I never got into the new Jedi order era. Star Wars became my obsession starting in the 7th grade because of the MMO Star Wars Galaxies. The addicting thing about Star Wars is that it’s so vast and so full of mystery. Learning one piece of lore opens up new questions, making the thirst for knowledge even greater. However since the release of canon books, I really don’t have much interest in going back to read the EU books, because I want to stay up to date with the actual storyline. With that being said, let’s get into what the blog is about.
Since this is a Star Wars book blog, I want to reiterate that it’s going to be mostly the new canon novels. My goal is to be able to write chapter summaries of the novels that point out the key events that happen throughout. More often than not, the amount of information that is retained diminishes enormously months later. I want this blog to be a helpful tool to reinforce my memory of what happened, and perhaps any others who may be reading along. Whenever I finish books, I would search online to see what other people thought about it, yet would find very little. In addition to writing chapter summaries, I will write a short blog beforehand, putting into words what I expect of the story and my opinion after so far. I look forward to writing these blogs, and hope anyone who might be reading does too.
I’ve read just about all the new novels, but for the purpose of this blog, I’m going to go back and reread them again. If I had to rank my top 5, currently it would be the Following:
1. Lost Stars
2. Thrawn
3. Lords of the Sith
4. Catalyst
5. Bloodlines
May The Force Be With You....Always.
