You need to move off of Google Docs!

I know some people have seen the news recently and may be doubtful of it. To the uninformed, Google Docs has started using AI to find "inappropriate" and "problematic" content, scraping your documents and deleting it. I know some people are unsure if this is real or think this is not going to affect them.

I regret to inform you that this is real.

As I was on a call with some writers and we were moving our documents as a precautionary measure, one person discovered entire pages missing that they did not delete themselves. This is happening to us, it's not a hoax or a rumor, it's happening right now. You need to move everything if you want to preserve it.

If you're a writer with writer mutuals, please reblog this so they know. I rarely write on Google Docs anymore, but I started my fanfics on there, and I would be devastated if I lost works more than ten years old because people decided marketing appeal is more important than creative freedom.

Since getting back into a steady reading routine again, I have taken notice of what word of mouth says is really popular and good so I can avoid it. 😔 I dnf'ed Babel and ACOTAR is a series I refuse to read because I am a little hater

Lately I have been trying to enjoy things in earnest again and in doing so, I have started lurking more and going to play with my own toys when I'm sick of my fan spaces. It has helped my mental health a lot, to no one's surprise.

And another thing! I do believe we need to limit phone usage or keep the ban altogether because I have never felt so connected to a crowd before. All of my seatmates and I were singing and drumming along and pretending to shred it on the guitar the whole time. Maybe it's because I have seen Ghost before but I never felt like I needed to record anything or do anything else other than listen to the music and appreciate how this band brings everyone together.

Seeing Ghost again after my canceled ritual was healing. I wore my purple Repugnant shirt and encountered a Mary Goore cosplayer who said they liked it haha. We heard Elizabeth! Also, I can see why everyone has been so vague about what Papa V is like because this one? idk, not at all like Copia, that's a completely different Papa altogether. Not to be pounding the Perpetua is Mary Goore drum all the time (totally am) but the movements seen onstage reminded me of how Mary moved like a clockwork bug creature, and there's the growls in Mummy Dust. I have seen Ghost before with Copia but these growls sounded more like Repugnant era snarls and hissing. This era feels like a love letter to all of Tobias's works and it's coming together spectacularly 🥰
