Procastination
Procrastination is actually a result of giving up, giving up the "little" time you have left, that it would amount to no productivity and that next time has a load more time to do a load more activities. So, when we stop giving up, we stop procrastinating. 😉

Maturity
Maturity is as a result of understanding. What differentiates a child from an adult in terms of maturity is understanding. Like in the case of the cartoon, Kiriku and the Sorceress, the little boy was found more matured than even adults because he had a better, undefiled understanding.

Having Good Success in Studies by Mr. Osayomwanbor E. Oghama
JOSHUA 1:8 It can be explained better with the concept of Memory There are two types of memory Short term and Long term memory As the name implies, anything saved to short term memory is short-leaved and doesn't stay long Science has it that short-term memory retains information for a maximum of 60secs tops So, you don't want to have serious information in short term memory, esp one that you frequently recall and will 'seriously' need (like in text or exam) So, you have to transfer such information to your long term memory As the name implies, long term memory is the opposite of short-term memory You almost never forget any information etched to your long term memory By the way, when you are reading like as you are doing now, each sentence is stored in short term memory so you can easily recall and connect it to the next sentence you are going to read After the connection and in no time, the latter sentences are forgotten You might have to go back to some of my earlier messages today to remember exactly what I said That's because it's saved in short-term memory. So, to transfer from short term memory to long term memory, you need a process known as Encoding The Encoding in simple terms is Repetition Now back to Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth....that speaks of recitation (encoding) ....and you shall meditate on it i.e think about it (encoding) ....that thou mayest observe to do i.e practise it if possible (encoding) ....and then thou shall make thy way prosperous And then thou shall have good success So you see, good success and prosperity in academics comes from encoding If you need it for the Bible, how much more your books??? ...and pray about it too; pray in tongues as you read it For me, my way of encoding is to write I recreate an exam situation (before the exam) Ask myself a question that I think will come out (you can ask God, even better), then write my answer as I would in the exam hall Write exhaustively! If you are not satisfied with your answer, go back to your book What people call 'craming', really, is encoding Nothing wrong about it at all The problem people have with craming is that they think people who cram don't understand what they cram...Not true!!!!!! A lot of people who cram can explain it and that's the important thing Back up the craming (encoding is much better) with understanding or better still, understand and then encode That's what I do and God uses it to distinguish me The process of memory formation (transferring something to memory) begins with Perception Perception is done with the senses ....either by hearing or seeing/vision The more senses involved in the process (of memory formation), the better That is why, reading out loud is good compared to reading 'in your mind' When reading 'in your mind', only vision is involved But when reading out loud, vision (eyes) and hearing (ears) are involved, so the registration to memory is stronger Come to think of it, "this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth...", so you have to read out loud ...bcos then you'd be using your mouth.
