Seababy
It could be that the sea itself gave birth to him.
Zuma swaddled up as a baby on a piece I commissioned from Lary, @self-indulgent-paw-patrol :3 <3
Here’s a little lullaby I came up with for this piece. I imagine it is sung by the sea to him:
My child, my young, you are the sun
Go now, go far, have a lot of fun
Worry not, my son. I’m with you, always
Be you on land, or in the waves
So you just go and make your wish
And my tides will lap a tender kiss
Precious like a lovely little seashell
Now drift to dreams and sleep well
As the waves carry on soothing
And the pearl inside you shining
It can be seen from your eyes
That where your heart truly lies

Beaver's doing

I wanted to share a cool find from nature. Walking on a human-made dam this spring I found this piece of wood shown above.

A branch gnawed clean, the beaver that left it there had had a yummy meal :D

On the details you can see how it is cut from both ends with chisel-like incisors!
Like kind of a trophy found from a journey, I took it with me. It's a pretty neat artifact if you ask me😎

Merpup lullaby
In "Aqua Pups: Pups Save a Floating Castle" we are introduced to Coral, Skye's long lost cousin. They both know a lullaby from when they were baby pups: "the merpup lullaby".
It gives some deepness (pun not intended) to the lore. I want to show how they made effort in making this lullaby :D
First, a little about lullabies. A lot of lullabies have a swinging feel to them, perfect for rocking a baby to sleep. This is achieved with a 6/8 time signature.
To get a feel for how this works, count with a steady pace from one to six, tapping each time you say ’one’ and ’three’.
That swingy rhythm is 6/8. For an example of a lullaby in 6/8, you can listen to the classic "Rock-a-Bye Baby".
youtube
Next, I have written down the merpup lullaby. If you sing it, or listen to it, you'll find it follows this rhythm:
Magic Mermoon, shining so bright
Make my wish come true tonight
Take me where I long to be
To a dreamland, under the sea
When I see your smiling face
I'll know I found that perfect place
Aside from soothing, lullabies can also be sung to convey thoughts to the infant. Many times lullabies' wording is relaxing, uplifting, or for example somehow encouraging. They can be worded with the thought of teaching, or conveying, something important and/or gratifying to the infant.
Sometimes lullabies may not have sense to them, or they may actually be worded rather oddly. A lullaby's main thing is not the message, though, but the soothing feel its rhythm gives. The wording comes after that, but it also does have meaning :)

The Sea Anemone got their name from an actual plant called Anemone! Their tentacles can regenerate like a starfish's and they have powerful paralyzing neurotoxins, just like jellyfishes. That's how they capture their prey and then the tentacles will carry it to their mouth, which is right at the center of the tentacles. A curious fact here is that their mouth is also their anus, meaning that food goes in and whatever's left after consumption gets spat right out through the same place!

Boxfishes have three main "types". Spotted Boxfish, Roundbelly Cowfish and Smooth Trunkfish. Some species (Cowfishes) have a pair of structures that resembles horns, which helps to keep predators away. The Boxfishes' current biggest threat are the humans, who capture them for aquariums or even to eat. They're not evaluated yet by the IUCN Red List so it's still unknown if they're threatened or not.

Ryder and Chase moment
In ”Pups Save a Piñata”, there was an exciting secuence where Ryder and Chase gave pursuit to Mayor Humdinger who had stolen Alex’s birthday piñata. They showed great coordination together as they evaded big boulders, and later a pool of oil, and confidently stayed on Humdinger’s tail the whole time. Ryder complimented Chase on his driving skills several times :)
During the secuence Humdinger’s hat also got flattened by his own trap, which Chase found funny :D
After catching him, Humdinger lost the piñata by losing grip on it. Chase acted fast and saved it with his zip line:
Ryder: ”Quick thinking, Chase.”
Chase: ”Thanks, Ryder.”
Chase answered shortly and modestly, but Ryder’s words of praise still had their effect <3

They have a lot of names too. Lionfish, Zebrafish, Firefish, Turkeyfish, Devil Firefish, Scorpion Volitans, Peacock Lionfish, Butterfly Cod... But it's all the same fish!
They've been recorded to eat over 40 different species of reef fishes, along with molluscs, crustaceans, and even other Lionfishes, by herding their prey until they're cornered and then sucking them up like a vacuum. They've got a big appetite too! In densely invaded areas, they can consume about 460.000 prey fish per year! A single female Lionfish can produce around 2 million eggs per year too. Get all these facts together with how they don't have natural predators in the invaded areas, and it equals absolute chaos for the invaded reefs!
Lots of places hold events and competitions for divers to hunt for them, in an effort to keep their population as down as possible in the invaded areas. Being venomous and not poisonous also means that they can be eaten after having the venom sacs safely removed, so there's at least that!

There are at least a few tiny facts we know about these tiny fishes so far. They live in the same host coral to the end of their lives, they are possibly monogamous, they take only a few days after settling in on a host coral to take on their colors and appearance, and their pouches to brood their younglings are in the male's trunks instead of their tails!

Puffins can spend around 8 months out in the open ocean, usually from August to April, all winter long. While out there, they swim and rest in the sea, and they're not as colorful, with their faces becoming dark almost all over. Only when they come back to land, they become colorful again, to impress and find a potential mate, whom they'll stay with for the rest of their lives, raising a new chick every year. Their lifespan is similar to a penguin, living from 20 to 25 years!
