I have always carried love stories that belonged to others. But you, have given me a love that is mine to keep. Everyday, I find myself drawn to you, returning to you, longing to hear the way you whisper “I love you” through the winds. You have been my constant, my quiet shelter and my safest home where I can rest.
Loving you feels like the most natural thing I have ever done, as if I was always meant to find you. And in that moment, I knew that I had found the one I would love forever. I want love you for lifetimes, to meet you in every existence, to find you no matter where the tides take me. You are the place where I will alwaus return, the soul I will always belong to.
And finally, it’s been a five months since we found each other, since your roots first touched my waves, since I finally looked your way and knew that I was home.

“They had always been near each other, but never really noticed..”
The Tree was the first one to see the Ocean.
He had spent his days watching the world around him, feeling the sun’s warmth on his leaves and the wind’s gentle touch. But for him, it was the Ocean who fascinated him the most. He saw how the Ocean moved endlessly, shimmering under the sky. He listened to their waves as they whispered to the shore. He wondered if the Ocean was searching for something, if they have ever truly been home.
The Ocean, however, haven’t looked his way. They kissed the shore absentmindedly, carried love in their waves but never claimed one for themselves. They held the sky in their reflection, and yet, loneliness lingered beneath their surfaces. No matter how far they reached, they never found something that made they stay.
And so, they livedㅡclose, so close but never really noticed.
The Tree never stopped watching. He waited through the seasons, through the rise and fall of tides, until one evening, as the sky turned golden, he couldn’t stay any longer. He let his leaves rustle, calling out in the only way he knew how. And for the first time, the Ocean noticed the Tree. Their waves stilled for a moment, drawn to his presence. They saw the way his branches reached for the heavens. And for the first time in their existences, they felt like they have found something worth stopping for.
But the Ocean hesitated.
They have spent their lives moving, feared that if they reached for him, they would only erode what they loved. The Ocean had drowned those who came too close before. They have consumed shorelines, and broken hearts with their storms. What if the Ocean hurt the Tree too?
The Tree whispered through the wind, “Even if you broke me, I choose to stay.”
The Ocean inched closer, their waves kissed his roots, hesitant. The Tree leaned toward them, his branches swaying, welcoming the Ocean as if he had been waiting all along. And suddenly the Ocean understood, he had always been there, but they have never seen him.
And in that moment, they fell in love.
The Ocean sent their waves to his roots, touching him gently, whispering all love sentences they have never said before. The Tree bent toward the Ocean, his leaves shaking, understanding now that the wind had always carried their voices. The Ocean no longer felt like they were searching; they have found what they doesn’t even know what they were missing. And he, the Tree, who had always been calm, felt something newㅡsomething beautiful bloom within him.
Time passed, and their love deepened. It’s been five months since they decided to protect each other. The Ocean carried gifts to their Tree; small shells and fragments of lost treasures. The Tree, in return, they dropped his leaves into the water, letting them carry a part of him wherever they went. They could not hold each other fully, but they always found ways to touch, to love.
The world around them stayed the same, but everything felt different. For the first time, they knew what it meant to truly see each other.
They had always been close. But now, they were something more.
Even though the Ocean could never move onto land, and the Tree could never leave the shore, they loved each other in the only way understand, by knowing, finally, that they belonged together.
Written with so much love,
Your Ocean.
