IT’S IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

Immigration Defense Project is a great resource as it shows what rights you have and has pamphlets in various languages not limited to English and Spanish. It also has a section that shows ICE raids tactics! The IDP provides litigation, works with policy and advocacy, and provides legal advice as well.

We Have Rights is primarily used to know your rights in the aftermath of being detained. It provides videos on the different aspects of what rights you have such as having a right to an attorney, etc.

One of the most important thing to do is to have an EMERGENCY PLAN. The thought of being deported is terrifying and no one should be complacent in the actions this administration is taking. Regardless, it is happening and we cannot ignore it and it’s important to be prepared if you are affected by this reality. Having an emergency plan is important so whoever is not being detained knows who to contact, what medications are needed, the doctors, etc. are all put together in the instance the worst case happens. We Have Rights have the preparedness document at the bottom of the website if you are in need of one.

I would not change coming from a family of immigrants. I would choose it in every life time and to my fellow community, I hope you would too.

otto and norman are like. what if two best friends became the closest rivals because they were perfect complements and it steadily drove them further and further apart. and then they began to discover things about one another that made them hate each other bitterly. but yes they still work together and awkwardly fumble around when theyre alone because, well. those awful things they learned about each other have made them completely incompatible with the rest of the world on a fundamental level. so it's just the two of them versus each other versus the world.

and otto and curt are likeee. what if you neglected the only other person who understood you when you couldve been best friends and had a normal outcome. what if you chose the wrong route with the wrong person and cut out someone you shouldve trusted. what if someone really liked you and you made them a third wheel, a coworker instead of a friend. and what if you also fumbled around a few times and did some messy stuff and try not to think about it too much

i should probably outline all the stuff i specifically exclude from my portrayal bc it's more specific than what i INclude but like. otto is primarily influenced by some 616 comics that i like with heavy references to year one (sans some timeline and continuity errors), insomniac/1048, and least of all raimiverse/96283 (but i DO use his interest in nuclear energy as a Main Timeline/Character Point because it's replicated in yr1). it's a big amalgam of things i like, excluding the things i dont... good luck trying to get me to make a more detailed post about it that's scary idk. HOWEVER if there is interest in a specific verse ex. 96283, i'm not opposed at all if it's specified; this just tends to be the default otto that lives in my head
