Tree bark in the world’s forests absorbs the greenhouse gas methane, my colleagues and I have demonstrated for the first time on a global scale – a discovery that could have big implications for tackling climate change. As trees photosynthesise, their leaves take up carbon dioxide (CO₂) and lock it away as biomass in their trunks and branches providing a long-term store of carbon. But now, our large-scale study proves that there’s another way that trees absorb greenhouse gases – so forests can provide even more climate benefits than previously thought.
[...]
In total, our cautious first estimate is that trees take up between about 25 and 50 million tonnes of atmospheric methane each year, with most taken up by tropical forests. This is similar to the only other land-based methane sink – soils – and it makes temperate and tropical trees 7%-12% better for climate than they are currently credited for. But unlike soil, which isn’t changing in area, forests are contracting and expanding through deforestation and reforestation – these changes can influence atmospheric methane. If we reforest and plant trees in the right place, more methane could be drawn down from the atmosphere. Clearly, decarbonisation of the global economy and energy system is the key way to address climate change. But, this capacity for tree bark to absorb methane offers another angle of attack as a nature-based climate solution.

May I request animals that were endangered but are now recovering please?
Was endangered, but has now recovered...
The first creature to come to mind is the American Alligator, which was in real trouble at one time, being close to extinction in the 1960s (due to overhunting and habitat destruction). Protection helped them recover by the 1980s.

Lake Erie Watersnake (Nerodia sipedon insularum), family Colubridae, found in islands of western Lake Eerie and in one county along the lake in OH, USA.
A subspecies of the Northern Water Snake.
Declared endangered in 1999, from habitat destruction, this snake had recovered by 2011, when it was removed from the endangered species list.

Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), family Accipitridae, order Accipitriformes, Kachemak Bay, Alaska
Affected by variety of causes, overuse of DDT (a pesticide) hit them hard. The birds bioaccumulated the chemical through prey (mostly fish), causing the birds to produce thin egg shells, which would break easily when the parent sat on them.
Placed on the endangered species list in the 1970s, the birds had recovered by the 1990s, due to a ban on use of DDT in the U.S.

When I have so much rage cause of my boss I need an outlet
Decided to post here and am trying to think of the most creative way to curse but realized I'm drained out of brain juice (what hostile work environment aka my boss do to you)
Then I think of how my friends helped me build a snowman named after my boss back in Jan and how I pierced its entire face and body with this icicle we collected from the cabin, again and again. Suddenly I have love in me again.
How I wish to revisit the memory applying more force on that pierce like a knight jumping down from a 2 storage building sword directly from its right top skull to left shoulder and to its heart but just close enough to miss all the crucial parts. Wont make it a quick death no not that easy he has to suffer.
