They would absolutely try to go in the water, which is a terrible idea; while they’re pretty resilient, they’re not immune to water. Then, they’d probably roll around in the sand, getting covered in it and discovering that it’s...pretty unpleasant.

Being technically considered an Octoweapon, Octoblank doesn’t exactly look like an average Octarian right now. 

Really, while their general bodyshape is humanoid, and similar to an Octoling, their body texture feels a lot more inky and unstable; being closer to the “halfway” stage between kid and squid in Splatoon 2

(no he’s not a Davy Jones abomination)

This means that he’s perpetually hunched over, and has no defined facial features - a keen observer would still see hints of a nose and ears. It’s still very odd; and he wears a hoodie, gloves, long pants and socks to hide most of it.

He also cannot turn into either kid or octopus forms right now - he’s stuck in the halfway form at the time being.

It doesn’t stop Octoblank from eating, talking, seeing or hearing - all of their senses are unaffected.
