HE’S A STUBBORN ONE FOR CERTAIN,   changing his mind is no easy task.   worse than that,   he’s apt to believe most information that he comes across.  it’s not to say that he holds no  suspicion  for certain beings,  he’s making a good show of that to her at the moment.  the emotion that she is exhibiting should be a sign of her innocence,   but there was always the case of being  too  defensive as well.  sebek’s own temper had yet to flair  —  in fact,   his previous statement had sounded quite diplomatic.

            her face darkens as he continues to INSIST her hand in the issue  ,  the way he spits out HUMAN seemed to drive in WHY the other is seeking her out  (  discrimination  ,  perhaps  )  .  the fact that he knew she had little use for a book about magic when she was completely incapable of using such an item to it’s fullest  .  with a good part of the books in the library being MAGIC BASED  ,  emilia rarely visited the place  .  her jaw tight as she looks back at sebek  ,  though now her gaze looks more like a GLARE than a polite glance  .             this situation felt eerily similar  .  like back home  .  like how she’s always cornered and blamed for things she didn’t do and no one would believe her  .  no one stood on her side  .  is sebek going to raise his hand at her  ??  punishment  .  she wants to LAUGH  .  using punishment as a threat  .  she knows . . . or perhaps sebek is a man of his words  ,  but she can’t help but think that he’s just putting on AIRS  ,  saying it’d be negligible  .  at home  ,  she’d be punished regardless  ,  at the whim of her stepbrother  ,  of her parents  ,  of her  ‘  home’s  ’  staff  .  what’s so different here  ,  right now  ??  frustration builds in her  .  why did she think this place would be different  ??             “  the only resentment i hold right now is towards you  ,  good sir  ,  ”  she seethes  ,  “  knowing i have no magic  ,  knowing i have no use for the book  ,  nor any books within the library . . . for what reason would i take the book  ??  the librarian can attest i rarely step foot into that establishment  ,  ”  she continues  ,  “  why are you so KEEN on pinning the crime on me  ??  because i’m human  ??  that i’m POWERLESS to resist so i should bow  ??  ”  she asks  ,  she’s not sure where her boost of confidence came from  .  though she supposes it’s just a defensive mechanism . . . her last will to fight  .             “  if you want to punish me  ,  then just do so without beating around the bush . . . is that not what you want  ??  you and the rest of those wretched witnesses you’ve got . . .  ”  she hisses  ,  hands dropping to her side  ,  bunched into fists  .  she’ll regret this  .  maybe  .

MAINVERSE

this verse follows the story itself, beginning from her journey in the law firm as a junior attorney. as it states, this verse/timeline will be the default i take; her age ranges from 24 and above.

STUDENT

From high school to her bachelors, this verse is used for her schooling years. In this verse her age ranges from 16 to about 21 years old.

ON THE CONTRARY

Instead of entering the firm as a practicing attorney when her commencement finished and after passing the bar exam, Liqiu continues as a freelancing consultant, often partnering with Xia Yan, the private eye and her childhood friend.

GENSHIN IMPACT

Hailing from Liyue, Liqiu is an attorney at law that provides her assistance to the numerous business owners and clients of the region. A fiery and determined consultant, Liqiu is bright-eyed and eager to assist anyone that requires a hand. Despite her fiery nature, Liqiu holds a HYDRO vision and is a catalyst; she only ever uses her abilities defensively and if she feels the need to....She believes words are more powerful than swords.

MAFIA

A criminal defense lawyer that works for the underworld, a woman that is said to fear no man nor god, she's a wanted person not only for her skill but also for the wrong reasons (her defense has felled some organizations or brought downfalls to others). With her services mostly VIVA VOCE, she is not a person that can be easily found and she has strict criteria and conditions before she agrees to provide counsel.

SUPERNATURAL

Liqiu is the physical embodiment of a mythical creature known as XIEZHI, a creature who's said to be greatly intellectual and understands human speech (this ability has allowed her to learn other languages RAPIDLY). The xiezhi possesses the innate ability to distinguish right from wrong and it is known as a symbol of justice. While she continues her daily career as a lawyer for the humans, she has a double life and also works for those of the supernatural world, providing them counsel and defense for the creatures in need.

LEGACY

Themis supposedly perished millenniums ago when the idea of deities and gods faded into legend and myths. The prophecy of the return of deities goes forgotten as time's sand covers the words of the oracle...That is until the birth of Liqiu, when the flames of the prophecy reignites as Themis' legacy rises. Embodying law , good counsel, and wisdom, Liqiu is just beginning as her potential as the new Themis of the current world...Drawing the attention of other beings and deities that have also awoken from slumber.

HISTORICAL

Women were not taken seriously in the olden days, they weren't even allowed the basic rights. Enraged by this and supported by her parents, Liqiu was able to become a learned woman, a rarity amongst her gender. Refusing to be a conventional woman, Liqiu sought to obtain a scholarly title...Yet, due to her gender, she is unable to hold status. So, she does the next best thing...Enlisting a trusted partner who will work with her and bring her defense to the court, presenting HER arguments as a proxy as she cannot do so herself. Together, they bring justice to those who needs it most.
