Why did I go to UVic?

2017.08.01~2017.08.24

Before going to Victoria and studying at UVic, I decided one thing about my aim of this trip. It was to make good experience for improving my skills of not only English skill, but also skill to try everything. 

After this trip, I could make good experiences. First, I could spend beautiful times with my host family. I love my host family. They were so kind to me, and they supported me all days of this 3 weeks. Second, I could meet good teachers, Dave and Lara. Their classes were very interesting for me, so I studied hard. I really respect them, and I want to be like them in the future. Lastly, I could be the winner of final presentation. I was so happy because I shared happiness with wonderful group members. I love my group members, and I really appreciate them. I could not be the winner without them. Making good relationship with them is more important for me than being the winner. Thank you so much, Takeru, Erina, Hiroki, and our leader Rana. I am very happy to keep doing group work with same members.

So, I could achieve my aim of this trip. It was very good experience for me. I will be back to Victoria and UVic. Thank you for everyone who helped me. I will keep improving my skill and doing my best and working hard.

August 25 Japan I’m on my way to Lake Biwa for training camp. We finished our 3 weeks in Victoria and came back to Japan yesterday. I could make a lot of memories with all UVic members. I’ll never forget these days. I really appriciate! Thank you guys!🙌 I also appriciate for our leaders Sayaka and Rana. You had a lot of tasks as group leader and course (sub) leader. However, you did all tasks perfectly so I could enjoy this program😂 Thank you so much! At the last, Thank you soooooo much, Sprite members! I’m looking forward to doing group work and giving a presentation again with lovely members!

🇨🇦August 23 / 🇯🇵August 24 The last day! I had a great wonderful time in Victoria! It was so fast to past time of 3 weeks... In the 3 weeks, I really appreciate my class members, group members and class leader, Sayaka. To class members I couldn't lead and support you enough. Preferably, everyone supported me, gave me a confidence and made me laughing. I was a bad sub leader but I could make a great experience thanks to everyone. I'm glad to spend time with everyone!!!! Thanks 😚💗 To group members First of all, cheers! of great work!!! And also, congratulations! for winning!!! We did our best 🏆💫👏🏻 It was the past three weeks really supported by group 7, Sprite members. Always brighten the atmosphere, with a smile, cute, and best grammar Erina👼🏻 Tall and tall, always friendly to the members, and the early work Hiroki💁🏻‍♂️ Decent, calm, gag makers and best grammar Takeru👴🏻 Powerpower maker, working hard and actually, real group leader Kanji👦🏻 It was nice to be in the same group with Kanji, Erina, Takeru and Hiroki. Thanks a lot! I really appreciate team members supporting. We'll do our best again next presentation! To class leader, Sayaka I really respect her. She is crybaby but she is a great leader and kind to everyone. I think that the class leader was served only Sayaka. And also she always support me, a bad sub leader. Wonderful!! excellent!!! Sayaka! I❤Group 7! Aug 21 2017

Today we finally finished our final presentation! We could make a good presentation because we practiced a lot. Thank you for making a wonderful Power Point, Kanji! Thank you for making a nice report, Rana! Thank you for checking our grammar, Takeru and Erina! I really appriciate for all members☺☺☺ After our final presentation, we went Downtown for lunch. I and Kanji, Takeru, Erina planned a surprise for our great leader Rana. We gave her a letter and could make her cry😂😂😂 I could have a good time with group 7 for this four months, especially, during staying in Canada. Thanks of all. Tomorrow we have a farewell party. I’m looking forward to having a good time tomorrow.

Today we visited Sea Cider. First we had a cup of apple juice, and then we walked around the apple orchard. There were some fallen apples on the ground. I took it and smelled it. It was a sweet scent. Of course I put it on the ground again after that. Good night!

2017/08/20

Today, I went to Mount Douglas with my friends. This mountain is very famous in Victoria. My host mother said to me that today is good weather, so you can see nice view of Victoria. This mountain was so hard for me to climb top of the mountain. But I could enjoy this mountain so much. The view from top of the mountain was so nice. I could take a good picture of Victoria. Our studying trip is only two days. There were so short for me. I want to stay more in Victoria. Tomorrow is final presentation. I'll do my best. I'm little nervous.....

August 19th

4 more days in Victoria ;( Today is last Saturday. I went to uptown and bought a loooooooot of foods as a souvenirs. Everything looks so nice...! In addition, we have to prepare for the presentation. It's difficult for us but we'll do our best! 🔥🔥🔥

August 18 Hi I'm Takeru. Today I wen to the movie show with Ryotaro and Hiroki. This movie show was opened outside. Therefore we could watch movie with seeing stars! We were so happy. However it was so cold. If you watch movie outside, I recommend you to wear many clothes.

It was a good weather today so Takeru said “Let’s take a picture!”. Now, we have a lot of tasks to do for our final presentation. However, we have a good relationship. Our group work is very fun! All members are crazy😂😂😂. We have only 2 days to complete the power point. We try to do our best!

2017/08/15

Today we had a speaking class and a writing class. At speaking class, we practiced phrases of presentation. Our teacher taught me a lot of example of phrases. So we learned a lot and improved our presentation skills. But pronunsiation was difficult for me. Therefore, I have to practice more until final draft. After the speaking class, we had writing class. We checked our assignment, and learned idiom and vocabulary so much. After the lunch, we went to Sydney. This town was so clean and so safety. I went to the beach and ate ice cream with my friends. If I can move to there, I want to live in Sydney.

August 14th Today, we went to Gyro Beach Board Shop as a business visit. The owner is a so cool woman! We could ask many questions to her. It was really good experience for us. In addition, we asked some questions to surveys. We have to do the final presentation on August 21st so, we have to prepare to do that and do our best! Furthermore, We went to a beach and a park near the company. We enjoyed spending time with members:) Rana

August 12 Yesterday I went to downtown with my friend. We walked so much and found many nice shops although it was too windy and cold. As this picture, post cards were colorful and cute! Then, we had the biggest event, the afternoon tea at the empress hotel! All cakes were delicious and the sound of piano made me relaxed. I had a great time. Erina Kozaki

August 13 Hi I'm Takeru. Now I'm watching the sky. Today there is no smog and I can see a lot of stars!! Fortunately I could see shooting star! If you have time, you should see stars!

Vancouver Trip Aug 11 2017 Hiroki Kuroda After our class, I go to Vancouver. Today, I have some free time so I walked around the downtown of Vancouver. I ate Katsudon, Burrito and Gelato. Burrito and Gelato are really tasty but Katsudon was terrible. Tomorrow I want to eat delicious food and go shopping in Vancouver.

Why am I closing my eyes?

2017 August 10th

Today we had two classes as usual. First we took a speaking class. Today's topic was about body of presentation. We studied and learned about how to make a good body and how to tell audience useful. We watched some videos about body of presentation. I could not listen well, so I need to improve my listening skill. After speaking class, we took writing class. It was so useful for us, so I could improve my business English skill. After two classes, we had a team meeting. I enjoyed and did hard today's meeting, we could finish our assignment early.

August 9th Today, our class visited to Fired up and also, we painted the plate by myself. That's a business trip so, we have to ask some questions. We could try to ask and know the information of the company. Also, we'll visit to each company on next Monday so, we could prepare to do the interview. Tomorrow, we'll have to do the group session! I hope we can spend valuable times.. Rana

Hi I'm Takeru. Today we went to Royal BC Museum. I could see various interesting things, for example ancient creatures, traditional costumes and so on. And when I saw these art works, I was most surprised and overwhelmed. These objects are so high and have many faces. So I thought these were interesting and I like these. Tomorrow we'll go to "Fired Up". I'm looking forward to making my dish.
