The name does sound familiar now that he hears it. “I have seen some of your work. You are good kids, I keep meaning to introduce myself, but something always came up. What is it that you do? Also just Thor is fine no need to call me mister.” He admits with a wave of his hand. “Reminds me of my father. You are quite welcome though!”

“ oh you have? i’ll be sure to tell the team, they probably won’t believe this happened. “ teddy nervously chucked out, the buzz of meeting someone so famous was slowly starting to wear off but i emphasize, slowly. “ i - well.. “ the blonde looked around the park, making sure it was just them before raising a hand and letting his true green skin slowly come through. “ half-skrull, half-kree.. they call me hulkling cause, ya know, the green. “

teddy had been up for at least an hour at this point, he always woke up early especially when it was a work out day. the blonde chuckled at the sight of billy yawning, knowing it wasn’t exactly his thing to be awake before the sun was out. “ - because, you love seeing me shirtless covered in sweat. “ the blonde teases before leaning down and pressing a soft peck on his boyfriends cheek. “ nope, no time for coffee but i can get you some pre-workout. “ 

There’s a yawn leaving the witch lips — much too obvious in him having just woken up recently. He rubs his eyes for a moment, but tries to pull himself together. “UH, you want to tell me again why I agreed to do this?” He says as he steps closer to the other person. “Do you think we can go get some coffee first?”

“ at least you’re not mouse themed superhero. “ teddy pointed a finger at his friend before letting out a chuckle of his own. he always had a great time with cassie, they were another level-headed person, someone that could help round up the more impulsive of the group. “ i don’t have any stories like that but ! what would you say to the young avengers having a cat as a mascot? “

@ofaltman said:  ‘ i love every cat in the entire world. every cat on the planet. if there are any cats in outer space, i love them too. ’

“i… love cats that don’t attack bugs!” cassie countered bright with a giggle, “i remember one time, a was tiny and flying through an alley, and i had a cat chasing me like a toy for a block,” they start giggling at the memory, “but like, human sized, i love them.”

“They are. We want to leave a bright future for the next generation. I know that I want the best for both my children and my grandchildren.” Thor says with a nod of his head. He knows that there will always be hardship along the way — but hopefully there’s peace somewhere in there too. “Is that right? Tell me more about this team. I bet you do great things. I would never try to make you feel otherwise. If you ever need anything I will come assist, making it known now.” Thor admits as he smiles down at him.

“ exactly - i hope my future children have a bright future too. “ teddy smiled as he nodded back at thor, his hands nervously finding their way into the pockets of his jeans before gazing over the park to make sure samantha was still alright, she was. “ i don’t know if you’ve heard of us.. we’re actually, kinda, technically, affiliated with you guys, the avengers i mean - we’re called the young avengers.. oh thank you, mr. thor!” the blonde rambled out.

This was adorable — he just wanted to admit that much. Thor notices the blush on the boy’s face, but he doesn’t comment on it because he feels that might just make him turn more red. “You are quite welcome the world needs more of those. It does make all the difference.” Thor admits with a nod, but chuckles softly at the next comment. The kid has a point there. “Perhaps I am a little. I try not to let it get to my head, but I don’t mind taking pictures. It is a pleasure to meet you, Teddy.”

teddy was a bit proud of himself in this moment, mostly because of how smoothly it was going. the moment he met captain america, teddy legitimately tripped over his own feet and fell into a bush right in front of cap. “ children are the future, as the saying goes. “ the blonde chuckled nervously before adding on. “ but i mean, you make a big difference - i mean, i’m on a team but we’re not like you guys, not yet. “ he rambled before feeling his heart skip a beat at the sound of thor saying his name, wow. he wished he’d video taped this but that would be very weird. “ no no! it’s my pleasure! “

Thor wasn’t aware of how much the boy admired him, but he does see a little bit of fondness forming in his eye. He watches the little girl run off toward the playground, and then turns his gaze fully on him. “Teacher, huh? She seems happy around you so I’d say that you’re a good one.” He hasn’t been a kid for over four thousand years, but he does remember his teachings. “What is your name? They call me Thor, among other titles that don’t matter right now.”

teddy was trying to memorize this experience while at the same time watching over samantha so his brain was getting a little frazzled, he wouldn’t be surprised to see a little trail of smoke coming out of his ears. he had to remember this completely because he definitely wasn’t going to shut up about it for at least a week. “ thank-thank you so much ! i hope i am a good teacher. “ a deep shade of crimson quickly rose to the surface of the blondes cheeks, his heart racing in his chest. “ oh i know ! - i mean, you’re kind of infamous. “ he quickly replied. “ she calls me mr. altman but you can call me teddy. “

Thor raises an eyebrow as he watches the sight. He approaches with his arms crossed over his chest, and long blonde hair trailing behind him with the wind. “I was not even considering that. She your daughter?” He asks since he doesn’t know any better otherwise. He relaxes his shoulders as he looks at the pair. 

thor. it was thor. oh god it was thor. admittedly, teddy had a boy-hood crush that definitely still lingered on the large blonde avenger. he took in a deep breath, this wasn’t the first avenger he’d ever met, especially being a young avenger so he had some practice not turning into a fanboy idiot. “ -huh? “ teddy took a second to snap out of the disbelief before shaking his head and setting samatha down so she could run to the small playground that was in the park. he pivoted his boy so he could watch her as he replied to thor. fuck, it’s thor. “ - she’s my student, i’m a teacher. “ teddy replied as he couldn’t help but dorkily smile, partly because of the sight of samatha care-free on the playground and also because thor was standing right next to him. billy was never going to believe this.

Theo, with no ill-intent whatsoever, had been watching the grown man play tag with the kids for a while, wishing above anything that he could engage in the light-hearted frivolity and be young and have few cares. Watching them play, though, made him feel youthful by extension. He was about to sit on the grass when he was addressed loudly, and the suddenness of it made Theo’s muscles tense in surprise, as he was always rather squirrelly and ready to run for his life at the drop of a hat these days. “I- me, I didn’t think that,” he called back, glancing over his shoulder to see if there were anyone else watching. “Why would you think I think that??”

teddy held a hand onto samathas lower back so she didn’t slip down his shoulder and fall face first into the ground, her mother would probably rather have her home with all her baby teeth still in her head. “ i watch way too much ‘law n order.’ “ the blonde replied, feeling his cheeks flush up slightly from embarrassment, luckily this wasn’t the dumbest thing he’d ever done. “ sorry! didn’t mean to bother you! “

‘look dad! it’s mr. altman from my old school!’ and then before he could remind her that they were on their way somewhere, off keely kent ran, not a care in the world, as if they hadn’t been on their way to something. he sighed- if he had just had the time to home school keely (he was home schooled- and he turned out fine!)- another needless social interaction could be avoided. perhaps if this had happened at a different time, cooper would have had a better attitude toward seeing keely’s old teacher, one she adored, one she raved about, ‘I think he’s like us dad! i can tell’  ‘there is no_ like us_, keely, eat your peas’  (in reference to his heritage, and then hers as well, a tightly kept secretly that keely probably should never have been informed of this young). he took his time catching up to her, “-if you’re taking kids then you’re welcome to this one. she’s started cello lessons recently and won’t eat her peas.”

another perk of being a preschool teacher was seeing the kids he impacted coming back to give him hugs or play. it was just a warming feeling, knowing that these kids were doing good and that they still remembered him. “ who is that? is that .. keely? i thought that was an old lady! “ teddy teased as he patted samathas back who was still lung over his shoulder. the blonde quickly scooped up the other little girl, throwing her over the other shoulder easily. this was nothing for teddy, once he held at least seven kids at once but that was barely anything for a man like him who wasn’t exactly human. as keely’s dad approached, he set both the kids down especially because samantha’s kicking got very close to his face. “ cello lessons? so we got a musical prodigy ! “ teddy chuckled as he reached down and tickled the little girl before squating to sort of match her height which was hard because teddy was a pretty tall man. “ what’s this about not eating peas ? if you wanna be and strong like your dad here you gotta eat your veggies! “ the blonde stood up once again before briefly returning to adult mode. “ how’s everything going, other than the peas? i don’t think i got your name before either. “ he held out a hand. “ you can call me teddy, by the way and so can you, keely ! “ he added before sticking out a tongue at the little girl.

being a teacher was never something teddy had really thought about but ever since he started working at delilah’s, the idea of making this a permanent thing started to sound better and better. yes the sound of screaming children gave him raging migraines but the smiles and idiotic little kid sayings make up for it in their own way. “ oh samantha ! i’m gonna get you ! “ teddy bellowed as a young girl play screamed and started to run. it was after pick up time and her mother worked a bit later so she trusted him to just play with her in the local park until she got out. “ i GOT you !! “ the large blonde exclaimed as he playfully picked samantha up and threw her other his shoulder, in that moment, he noticed someone nearby. “ don’t worry - i’m not kidnapping her ! “ he yelled out, realizing afterwards that it definitely did sound like he was kidnapping her which made the laughing screaming coming from samantha not look too good.

dorrek vii was the product of an affair that should of never happened. while captured by the skrulls, kree mar-vell, had a secret love affair with the skrull princess anelle. 

princess anelle was scared for the safety of her child knowing of the constant war between the kree & the skrulls so she sent him away with her maidservant to earth right after giving birth. the maid was supposed to give him to his father who had been helping as a hero under the name of captain marvel on earth but he passed away before she got there. 

the maid decided to stay on earth and raised the child as her own, naming him theodore altman. she posed as a single mother working in real estate. 

teddy grew up knowing about his powers but not much about where they came from. he used them for mostly childish things, like getting others to like him and to impress people. especially once he got older and started to gain crushes on people. 

teddy’s crush on the captain of the basketball team, greg, caused him to do many stupid things like let himself be manipulated. greg say this ‘friendship’ as an opportunity to exploit teddy’s powers by having him shape-shift into celebrities to get into nyc parties. the last straw was when greg wanted him to loot the ruins of the avengers tower. he realized he had to stop letting people’s opinions of him control his life. 

teddy was on the list of the avengers ‘fail-safe’ program which was how he was recruited into the group now known as the young avengers. he quickly became infatuated by another teammate, billy and they began to date. 

living life as a hero was amazing until one day a creature known as the super-skrull invaded earth and demanded that teddy was a skrull. in an attempt to prove to teddy of his heritage, the super-skrull let off a device that would show any skrull if they were hiding. it did nothing to teddy but showed the true nature of his mother, who told the super-skrull part of the truth of who teddy is. after this, he killed her and kidnapped teddy. 

the skrulls insisted he return to their people so they could reunite the empire but just as they were about to, the kree showed up - wanting to help one of their own. teddy. a battle erupted between to two. teddy escaped with the young avengers to safety where he has been living as a boyfriend and now a preschool teacher while obviously saving the world every once in a while.
