how do they react to the player character taking their first tadpole power ?

he's cautious, observing. admittedly slightly concerned they may have their own mindflayer in their camp come morning. however he wouldn't dream of stopping them, after all the results of this will prove interesting either way.

will they stay with the player character regardless of siding with the goblins or the tieflings, or is it possible for them to leave the party permanently ?

ideally the tieflings could be saved regardless, be it by deceiving minthara, craftily sneaking out of the goblin camp during the raid party to warn them that night, however his heart wouldn't break if they could not be saved. ❝ ... the children, however are another matter entirely. ❞ he would not stand seeing them slaughtered & if must go against the plans to ensure they remain hidden safely till they can make their escape then so be it.

siding with the tieflings unfortunately would mean siding with the druids, something that has his insides rolling in disgust. if he could choose, ideally they would be eliminated from the equation. it would not be a deal breaker, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't try to exploit the rift between the druids & tieflings as means to be rid of the nature worshipers.

what can they be found doing at the tiefling / goblin party ?

astarion has squirreled away the good wine, of that he is almost certain, so a trip to his tent before the evening is over will be necessary. he makes an effort to talk to those in their little traveling group, before seeking out their fearless leader.

do they have comments on who the player character chooses to spend the night with ?

❝ it's about time someone got laid around here. ❞ it's admittedly a bit crass, but none the less true. aside from the light amusement he feels, he has more pressing things to concern himself with.
