Callie was the rich nerdy girl growing up. She has been through so much and when she got to Seattle, it will still like the mean girls club and Callie was always part of the people that were left out. But then she met Arizona, and that was after she had built a friendship with Mark and that was her people. But Arizona, she was different and she was the one who Callie seen herself with. But then things happened and Callie was just really out there trying to find herself and be with the person who makes her feel the way she does, or at least that is what it was before Callie walked away from a marriage that at the time Callie felt like couldn't be rebuilt after everything they have been through.
The plane crash and losing Mark, it had changed her in many ways. She knows that Arizona changed as well and seeing everything she had seen that night. Callie didn't get it at first and she didn't get it until she left and found herself and really just had to find herself and be the person that Arizona knew. Think what had caused Callie to just lose herself was the fact that her own wife at the time really took everything out on her. New York was the place Callie had wanted to go and after she walked out of that therapy session she decided to leave and she had really just wanted to find herself and she wanted to be herself, heal and be a better person then she was to Arizona towards the end of their marriage.
As time went on, Callie called to talk to Arizona and there was a bit of flirting and there was just a bit of them being themselves with one another again. That is the old them. It seemed Callie being away had helped. But Callie was just happy that Arizona moved and now they can all be together and Sofia may be happier then she has been. But last night, Callie read everything wrong, she had thought that maybe that they were at the point where they could explore the flirting they have been doing, and maybe see if things can go further then what they thought was possible, but Callie was hurt to know she had really read wrong. But they had to move on and just make Sofia happy and have a day where the three of them were together and letting Sofia be the tour guide for her other mother.
They were finally alone and watching Sofia just be herself and really just allow her to be with both of them. "I have changed Arizona. I have worked on myself, because the person who left Seattle, that wasn't me. I am sorry for the pain I caused you. Yeah I left with Penny, but that was over when we got here and I just didn't want her. The place I have been looking at, it was all for you and maybe one day we would be here. I couldn't go back to Seattle, it was just too many memories, and too many bad things that happened. So I know you moving was a big thing and I appreciate it, more then you know. Just, I am sorry about last night, I read it all wrong. But things are on your terms and I will go with what you want." Thinking for a moment and turning her attention back to Sofia. "Have you seen her this happy? She is just happy we are here together and she can show you around." Laughing low knowing Sofia has a whole list of things she wants to do over the next few days. "But i have to let her know you aren't leaving and we don't have to squeeze it all in this weekend."

The move to New York was sudden for Callie, but she felt it would have been better for the two of them. Callie just felt at a loss lately back in Seattle which is why she left and which is why she was no longer in the mood for fighting with Arizona. She loved the blonde too much to not make a difference in where they were going with their life. Sofia deserved to be happy and see both of her mothers to be happy. But when Arizona said she was moving, Callie didn’t think it was going to happen so soon, but she was just glad they could make it work. Being with her yesterday, it felt like old times and maybe that was Callie getting ahead of herself.
Maybe Callie jumped too quick. She knows their relationship wasn’t perfect and that there could have been things done differently but she didn’t expect Arizona to have a reaction like she did last night. Maybe it was too soon and just feeling as if things were what they were supposed to be yesterday, but Arizona made it clear she didn’t want that yet and that meant Callie just had to respect that. They had a daughter who was getting older and understood a lot more and that meant she couldn’t rush things and make things worst then they were when they were in Seattle.
Walking away and getting ready, she just needed distance from Arizona and to just make sure this is what she was feeling and not just being around the blonde again, Maybe hat is why she said what she did last night, but something inside of Callie was telling her no. It was Arizona that she wanted and nothing else. She was back and they were all walking together Callie standing back and watching the way Sofia and Arizona were so in sync with one another and Callie just missed seeing them together. Knowing Sofia was good at secrets and Callie wasn’t going to say anything Sofia was just happy both were there and she got to show Arizona everything she loved when she lived there the first time.
“I guess you’ll just have to pretend you love surprises because I was sworn to secrecy on what she wants to do today. I just have to give her directions.” Callie forced a smile on her face and as the elevator doors opened, Callie went in first as Arizona said and Sofia pressing the button to go down and get down to the lobby, once the doors open, Sofia pulled Arizona out first and Callie followed before moving to the other side of Sofia and walking beside the both of them. Walking out into the cool weather of New York and she looks around before looking down at Sofia and motioning with her head just where she has to go.
“If you’re ready, Sofia is ready to get the first stop underway. She will lead the way and I will help her navigate but she knows these streets since we walk everywhere.” Callie was putting the awkwardness behind her and just making another day that Sofia loves when it comes to being with the two of them. That is all Callie wanted as well.

Callie hasn't always been this person. She has been the one scared of everything else in this world and scared of being left or hurt. Everything to do with Arizona and her changed after the plane crash that Callie really thought she lost everyone she ever cared about for three days. Arizona being one of them and trying to really just try to make things normal, but it wasn't normal. Arizona wasn't the same person, as she was grieving, and Callie being a mother, a surgeon, and grieving away from everyone to really just mourn the lost of her best friend. Then the lost of her wife as well. The fights and the anger toward her only made her feel another way, and so Arizona and her, they were torn apart by her doing something with someone else, and Callie finding out by just a incident. That hurt carried Callie through and she knew they needed time apart after that.
Moving away and leaving Seattle to find herself again was all that Callie needed. She knew everything that happened wasn't her fault ad that was her first step in forgiving Arizona and really just making things better for Sofia. That is all she wanted for their daughter. But New York, it was good for Callie and the work she has been doing. The talks and the texts between the two, people might think they are crazy, but seeing the old Arizona through messages, Callie knew she was screwed but in a good way, and Arizona telling her she was moving to New York, Callie felt the butterflies and wanting to try this again, but she also knew they had to move slow. Sofia was older and understood a lot more then she did the first time around when things got bad for the both of them. but Callie went out on a limb last night and maybe today, it might change things for Arizona, she is hoping because seeing her there and seeing the growth they both have done, she feels they can be something good.
But their main priority has to be Sofia. She doesn't have many memories of them being together and being happy. it was more slightly them being angry at one another and barely talking because all they did was argue when they did. But being out with the two of them and seeing Sofia opening up again and doing everything she had wanted to do with the both of them. This was all about trying to make sure Sofia has happy memories and the two of them come to a better understanding and not hurting one another because that is how they cope with things. Callie was different and she knows she has grown and seeing Arizona and the confidence she has seen the blonde have over the last year makes her heart melt.
Callie listening and she doesn't want Arizona to think she sees her as that. it was more just testing the waters. "I don't see you as that Arizona. The old you and the old me, I think we left that back when we decided we weren't holding grudges with the other one again. That is not something we need to do because we have both grown. I have seen you grow over the last year, and honestly, I don't want the old Arizona, even the one before the plane crash, i like the one that is standing beside me right now." Maybe this was Callie's attempt to show Arizona she has seen the growth in her, and not wanting the blonde to think she hasn't seen it. She also understood where Arizona was coming from about Sofia.
"I don't want that either, but something inside of me just want to see what we can be now. i am not pressuring you, just I think you needed to know where I was with all of this and just how serious I am about it." But Arizona suggesting a date at the house and just the two of them, the smile on her face spread wider then normal and Callie hating herself for showing the excitement by that statement. "I am going to say yes, and I know I answered without giving you a moment to finish, but I think we can be better this time Arizona, and this is all on your terms only because I broke us the last time and you deserve to have this one in control by you being I didn't give you a choice the last time."

Callie had long admitted she had a part in their split. But it was just too much pain and history that kept her from really diving back in until they had learned to cope without one another, and learning to live without one another to help grow that bond they once had. They have learned to love one another, but then again, it was all based on good things and never the depth of hard they did after the plane crash, and then Arizona doing the one thing Callie had asked her not to, and that meant the downward spiral. Callie hated how she reacted, but it was hard to trust someone who she had given it all to.
The plane crash forever changed everything for them. New York, it was the place where they could just be themselves and no one knowing their past life, and no one knowing just what they have been through. Callie, she had to leave to find herself and really understand just what she enjoyed in life anymore. Seattle was just suffocating and everyone knowing their past, and not able to really get past it. but now, looking at Arizona and seeing the old blonde that she had fell for. Even through text before she was there, it was like they were meeting for the first time again, but instead, Callie and Arizona know more about one another then they might ever admit this time.
Sofia was happy that both of them were there, and Callie knows they have deprived her of family moments for their own issues. But the tension between the two, it meant that they both cared about one another still, and meant they might try to see if this would work again, but Sofia being older and Sofia knowing more then she wants to claim about them in the past, Callie knew they had to be careful and they had to really just allow one another to feel and see just where they wanted to go. But feeling Arizona move closer to her, Callie felt the nerves, but it was felt like a good bound of nerves.
"I know you are Arizona, I look at you, and I see the old you. The one who wanted everything with me and the one who would bend over backwards for her family. That is the person I see right now, that is why we wanted to bring you here. We knew you'd enjoy it, and plus Sof, she knew you'd love it and I knew she was right." A smile on her face meant they were at that stage where the awkwardness may be gone and they can start talking about them and what they see with one another.
"I've missed being around you and Sof. It is crazy how alike the both of you are and the joy in your eyes at little things. The way she navigates the world is all you. I love seeing that, and knowing she was like that after visiting you, I knew that it was you teaching her that. Just if you're up for it, we just take it slow. Learn to trust again and then see where it goes. No pressure, just us as a family and us as us."
Callie knew she was taking a chance, but she needed to know and just wanted to see how Arizona felt, and how she wanted to go about this because Callie knew what she wanted and it was still the same thing. That was Arizona and them trying again.

Their history was one that was hard to deny. Callie knows she wasn't perfect. But at the time, she felt with all that history and the past from Arizona and herself, with their relationship, they needed time to heal. They needed time to really see themselves again, because Callie knew she had lost who she was. She had lost the person she loved and didn't like the person she had become. She knew she could have done it differently, knowing she had hurt Arizona sleeping with her that night and just walking out. That wasn't Callie. But then, that is who she was and she regrets how she did it.
They both have lost themselves. They both did things they wouldn't do. Callie didn't think she could forgive Arizona, because she has always been cheated on. But seeing Arizona really start working on herself, it helped in a way to see past that, and know she wasn't herself. They both weren't themselves. So she couldn't really hold it against her, it was more just growing and being apart. That is when Callie really jumped at the first shot to go to New York and work there. No one knew her, or her past, and that meant that she could just get to work and no gossip. That is something Callie realized Seattle was famous for. New York, it was nice. Something Callie needed as well.
Callie felt a shift in them. Even though Arizona just got there, the love Callie had for her didn't just fade, no matter how long they have been apart. A new city for the two of them and also, a new look into life, and Callie didn't have Arizona in her life for a while now and she didn't want that again. but she knows if they are going to try this again, down the road they have to keep in mind that Sofia is older and she understands a lot more. She understands that they can't afford to do what they did the first time around, which is why Callie didn't push it, she just wanted Arizona to feel things out being she had hurt her more then she will ever admit. But the park day with Sofia, the one who is their middle ground was nice so far, and the way they both kept stealing glances at one another, she knew Arizona was thinking the same thing.
The park was something that Sofia wanted to take Arizona to. It was refreshing and it was just nice. Busy but it wasn't bad. Callie just walked beside Arizona and Sofia, letting the two of them take all of that in together and allow one another to just be there with the other. Smiling at the way Sofia was super excited to have Arizona there. As Callie stood next to Arizona, she couldn't help but glance at her and then she moved her gaze and shook her head. "Don't thank me. This is something Sofia wanted us to have. All of us and one of us bring her when the other can't. I wanted her to show you this. It is relaxing and one of her favorite places I have discovered. Just having you here, it made it that much more better for her. I am glad you are here too."
Callie's signature smile was spread across her face. "For the record, it is great to have you here. I have missed you."

Their history was one that was hard to gather. They have been through a lot, and they have tried to make it work, after the worst of it. But in the end, their relationship ended the way neither of them predicted. Callie was all about love and being with someone who she could have the whole world with. But Arizona, she took a piece of her when she walked from that last session with their marriage counselor and she tried to build a new life for herself, and for Sofia and give their daughter everything in the end. That is the one thing that really kept Callie going when she felt like it was the end of the world.
Callie just needed time. Time to heal from all the bad her relationship with Arizona did. They weren't at their best for a while and she knew that walking away from her was hurting her in the end. But Callie was hurt as well. She was hurt from the broken vows and promises and Arizona was the one who broke it all. But that decision to walk way, it was hard to do it. But she felt it was the best for them at the point, and now it proved to be true. They are in New York, the place that Callie loved and moved when she got the opportunity. It was nice to be in a place that doesn't have history for her, and they didn't know about her past. But now, her past is there, and Callie couldn't have been happier.
There was something about being in the new city. No one knew their past, and just looking at Arizona, she looked good. She looked like she was healed and Callie sees the Arizona she fell for, and she couldn't help but want to get to know her better. Wanting to get to know this Arizona. The one in front of her, who looked like she wasn't carrying the world on her shoulders. That is how she looks at it. But she wanted to really just be with Arizona and seeing Sofia with no cares in the world and really just trying to make the most of both of her mothers in the same place, this is everything Callie had dreamed of and having both there, she was going to make the most of it, and treat Arizona and Sofia since this was all what Sofia wanted.
The park, this was a place Callie had kept to herself until now. She wanted to make it a place where they can all go, enjoy themselves and just relax when they need it. The ducks have always been there, and they were one of the best parts of it. As she walked behind them just watching both of them get enthusiastic about everything, she didn't like she ever questioned Arizona and her wanting to be a mother. "Of course, this is a place only Sofia and I have been and we figured it would be fitting for you to come as well. It is a place we come and we just unwind. She loves the ducks and I just sit off to the side and keep an eye on her. You buying her the duck food though, major points."
A laugh was low as Callie allowed Sofia and Arizona to have that time, as Callie has been there. "What do you think so far?"

Callie knew that Arizona and her had a long history. One that wasn’t always good. One that had parts of it they would rather forget. Callie was the one who ended their marriage, after trying to fix it for so long and that alone made things not okay for all of them. But, She knew Arizona felt responsible as well. Calle, she had done a lot of thinking and knows how she did it and she knew she could have done things differently from how it ended for the both of them. But at the time, Callie had a hard time forgiving Arizona, for what she did, the one thing she didn’t want her to do, because everyone she has been with has cheated on her, but Callie also knew she broke everything when it came to the custody battle and the way she went about things.
Callie knew things would never be like how they were before that day she allowed her lawyer to say those things. But she had worked on everything and how she approaches everything and she knew she had to move forward. That meant moving forward for Sofia’s sake and being there for Arizona and Sofia the best she could. That is why she was shocked to know Arizona wanted to move to New York. Maybe this is what they needed to feel things out and see where the other one was for the most part. But one thing Callie knew is that they have grown and healed in a way being they have texted and they have been flirty. So maybe they can really fall into a routine and be there for one another and make this work the way she wanted it to work.
That is why Callie was just looking forward to today, and really calling the two of them to spend time with Sofia and let Sofia show Arizona her favorite places. That is just what she needed by the sounds of it. Callie didn’t want to push anything because she knew it was all new and Sofia was older and understood more then they gave her credit for. But this was Callie’s treat and she wanted to treat both of them for the day and a sparkle in her eye with a smile and she nods her head as Arizona finally caved in and allowed her to pay for everything that they were getting. It was the least she could do this being Arizona’s first day out in a new city and Sofia was happy and she was really looking forward to spending the day with both of them. Something she doesn’t remember from Seattle, as she was too young when they decided their marriage wasn’t worth fixing.
Walking with Arizona and Sofia, with their daughter between them, Callie knew where Sofia was going, it was one of their favorite spots where Sofia can play and be with other kids. But today, it was all about showing Arizona and Sofia was so excited to show her this place, and Callie was standing back and a smile on her face seeing the excitement in Sofia’s face as she told Arizona and Callie raised her eyebrows. “It is busy, but it is a good place. So much for her to see and learn as well. So, it works for the most part. And she has been bouncing to show you this place.” Callie followed as they went to feed the ducks, being that was one of their favorite things to do as well.
This was all Callie wanted. To see just how they could do this and she felt this was what they needed to try this again. Just a mutual feeling and just being able to see they can be happy.

Callie didn’t want to leave, but she felt it was the only way they could both heal. She didn’t want to resent Arizona because that is what would have happened if she stayed and they didn’t work through everything that had happened to them. Callie needed to grow and she needed to grow apart from the blonde, but she knew she did things the wrong way. She played dirty and she couldn’t blame Arizona for being hurt and not wanting to see her, but what she didn’t realize was that Penny, she would leave her as soon as they got there, and it was painful, but it was because Callie was alone and left Seattle and didn’t need to.
She regrets everything she did in the court room that day and allowing her attorney to say those things about Arizona. It haunted her seeing the face that Arizona gave her when everything happened. It wasn’t ideal, but Callie wanted Sofia but instead she lost her at the moment. She lost Arizona in that moment too, she knew that. Callie didn’t defend her ex wife and she knew her co-workers were upset with her and that is why she couldn’t go back to Seattle after her failed relationship with the younger redhead she left there with. That is why she was at a crossroads and sucked it up and stayed in New York though she knew she shouldn’t have. But she couldn’t face everyone she did wrong in Seattle.
But when Arizona moved there, they have been working on their relationship and learning to respect one another. That is just what it was. But, they were going out as Sofia had a lot planned for Arizona, somethings she wanted to do with her. So they were doing just that today. But only a couple things as Callie didn’t want Arizona to walk too much as her leg, but didn’t want to make a big deal out of it either. They were working on just getting along and seeing where it goes and Callie couldn’t even argue. But Callie knew she said too much last night and wanted to keep it in the past and just allow herself to have this day and let Sofia be happy that they were together and doing these things together. Like she had wanted for so long.
The soft touch from Arizona out of habit sent shivers down her spine, but she couldn’t say much. But, she laughed and shrugged her shoulders. “Then you know not to argue, let me do this. Callie paid for everything since she had already made her mind up she was doing it anyway. “You can get me back later, but all of this is on me today.” She followed both Arizona and Sofia out of the store and she thought and shook her head. “Not that I know of, this was just a weekend thing Sofia and I would do and she wanted to share it with you. So, whatever she wants to do and if there is something you want to do, you can let us know and we will do it. Then we will find food soon as well.”
She looked over at Arizona, and seen just how relaxed she was and she couldn’t help but smile. She had missed seeing Arizona this calm. “You look like you’re enjoying yourself. That makes me happy.” Her voice low so Sofia doesn’t hear their conversation as she was just happy her parents were together. Just putting the history aside and being together, Callie just wanted a good day for Sofia and making sure she knew they could do this and be together and not cause issues. That is all they needed right now. Everything else would come.

People change. Callie knew that and she knew Arizona knew that. Their history made it hard to really understand that even they can change from their past that had happened to them. They have let the bad overshadow them. It lead to them not being on the same page. It was hard, but Callie knew she had to change the cycle if they were ever going to have a chance again. Not that she wanted to rush anything, but being around Arizona, it really brought back all those feelings and she wanted nothing more then to be the one that Arizona wanted to be with again. Callie was trying to really be the person she was before all the bad things, and therapy, well it helped, as much as she didn’t want to admit. She felt things for Arizona she couldn’t express right now.
Callie has a lot of regrets as to why they are where they are right now. Why they act the way they do right now around one another. She allowed things to be said about Arizona and she had regretted it since. She doesn’t know why she did it, knowing the blonde better then anyone. But today was a test. They have done a lot of things wrong, but Sofia, they have always done that right. Sofia was the only thing they didn’t mess up in this whole thing that was their life. Was Callie scared to give her heart again, of course, from the past, she was afraid they were took broke. But she can tell Arizona was in a different place and Callie knew she wasn’t the same person either. Seeing Sofia just happy the both of them were together, that is all it meant for her. It was all about that and really just allowing them to be a family for the first time in a while.
The spark Callie felt when Arizona’s hand barely touched the small of her back, it was out of habit, she knew that but she couldn’t help but feel somethings. It was everything she wanted to feel and more. Shaking her head, she wasn’t allowing Arizona to pay for anything right now. “No, let me take care of it today please. It is the least I can do. The next family day, you pay for everything okay?” With Sofia not wanting to carry her bags as Callie knew she would say it was too heavy, she didn’t bother telling the younger brunette to grab it as Callie took her bags and she wanted to grab Arizona’s but knew she wouldn’t let her so she allowed the blonde to grab hers, and they headed out to the busy streets of times square.
Once they reached there Sofia had a plan and she knew what she wanted. Nodding her head, Callie would lead the way. “So, the thing with Central Park, there are some cool things to do, a lot for kids and there is a playground there, and during certain times of the year, there is a petting zoo, and then during winter there is an ice skating rink. So, Central Park was one of our favorite places when I had a weekend off with her when she was here.” Callie wanted to explain as they made the short trek to Central Park and Sofia skipping beside Arizona with her hand connected to Arizona’s. “We can take a seat, and have snack why we let her play a little bit as well if you’re okay with that.”

Callie thinks moving was better for her. Seattle, it held some good memories, but before she left, it was all bad and she didn’t like being that person. She didn’t like being the person who was hurting and hurting the person who has done everything to make her happy. But what she didn’t expect was being in the same place as Arizona again. She made the sacrifice, something that Callie didn’t even think about when she had the chance to leave. Though she knew Penny was bad for her, it gave her a chance to be away from Seattle and get herself together and get the help she needed from someone who didn’t know her past. But, here she was, she didn’t mean to overstep a boundary, but Arizona, she was everything she thought she would be when she decided to come there.
But they needed a conversation. One that hit on everything that had went wrong, what they can do to make it right, and what they can do to never go back to that place they were. Callie knew she was quick to make the move, but Arizona and her talked way before she moved there. It was innocent enough, but then a little flirting happening, and that was Callie reading into things more then she should have. It was just who they were, and they did this with one another more times then they didn’t. Last night, Callie acted on impulse which is not new for her that is all she did and she didn’t want to push Arizona back into the wall and make her not have a choice when it came to them. This was supposed to be a time to learn about who they are now and put Sofia first, because that is why they were there. They were there because of Sofia.
Today was an outing for them as mothers and just being with Sofia. But the candy store, of course that would be the first stop by Sofia for her mother and her. Arizonan and Sofia had a sweet tooth and she wasn’t even mad. It was cute to see Sofia with all the candy in her arms and she looked at Arizona seeing she wasn’t too far behind her. This was what she had missed. Arizona and Sofia being like one another when it came to being a child in a candy store so to speak. Shaking her head with a chuckle, Callie was just amused and glad they were doing this. She was treating Arizona and Sofia and Callie knew she would be carrying Sofia’s bag soon because she didn’t like carrying her bags when she was shopping.
“You don’t have to Arizona, today is about you and Sofia and it is my treat okay? Just, don’t buy anything. I got it.” She was trying to not bring attention to the fact that Arizona’s hand was on the small of her back, but the jolt of electricity that coursed through her was all she knew. Maybe this time it would be right, but she wasn’t rushing. Just being there and being able to do this and seeing Sofia happy, that is all Callie was happy about today. “Just, be prepared, she is going to be on a sugar high and the happiness of us being here, that she might crash sooner rather then later.” Laughing low and looking at Arizona just taking it all in. This is how it should have been the whole time. She did it wrong and and sh wants nothing more then to fix it.
She pulled her credit card out and she bought all the candy which was more then she wanted to admit, and once it was all bagged up she helped Sofia grab her bag and she also grabbed Arizona’s for now so they can exit the store and head out into the streets of time square again. Waiting to see just what Sofia had in mind. “So Sof, where else did you want to take mommy? What is next?”

Callie knew their past wasn’t the best. Sure, they had some good times but towards the end, the bad shadowed the good and they lost their way. Not that Callie wanted things to ever get this bad, but she felt being apart might work for them. But she didn’t expect the things to come out of her mouth at the time, and that meant hurting Arizona. Something she didn’t want to do, no matter how bad of a place they were in. But she can tell that Arizona was having a hard time moving past it, that is why she felt dumb for the way she went about things last night. She knew that Arizona needed time and not worry about her and yet, Callie crossed that line really early.
Moving wasn’t the best for Callie. She knew it wasn’t going to end well, but she was just over the fact everyone knew her business, and knew her history. But, leaving Arizona and leaving behind all the memories wasn’t easy. Penny, that relationship was doomed from the start and Callie just didn’t want to admit that either. But she felt if she left, it would get better and it only got worst and that meant Callie had to finally think about herself. But as she finally got herself together, Arizona and her were in a better place and she told her to do what is best and that meant Arizona and Sofia were moving to New York. That made Callie whole but knowing Arizona and her had a lot to talk about, that is why last night didn’t need to happen being the blonde just got there.
But the lingering feelings Callie felt when she looked at Arizona was all she needed. She felt like they could do this again. They were both in a better place. Looking at Arizona, and seeing in her eyes she was in a good place, she felt all these feelings. She wanted to pull her close and kiss her but that is why she said something, instead of acting on impulse. Sure, it might not have bene the best timing, but Callie just couldn’t help it. Being rejected wasn’t something the was thinking would happen, but she had thought it might happen with the way they need to take things slow. But today was all about Sofia showing Arizona around and not wanting to make it awkward as the young girl deserved the best from both of her parents.
Laughing low at Arizona. This is what she loved, she knew just what Sofia needed to hear as the young girls eyes lit up and Callie had her jacket wrapped around her body the best she could to block the coldness from hitting her as hard as it might. The candy store, Callie knew she was going to go broke between the two of them and she wouldn’t trade it for anything. “Just make sure it is one I like Arizona, I know how you are. You get one to share and you eat most of it, knowing I don’t really like what was chosen.” Raising her eyebrows with an amused look on her face in hopes that will lighten the mood.
Callie was waiting and seeing the little girls eyes bigger then her head at all the candy the both of them got and nodding her head she waited for Arizona to finish up before she paid for everything for all of them. “Arizona, we have a long day, hurry as Sof is getting impatient as well.” Callie really needed to get out of this store before she broke on candy and not being able to do anything else. “Besides I need money for today, and us coming here first, might have been a bad idea.”

Callie knew that as time went on, their wounds would be healed and that was good for them. That was better for them in the long run if she was being honest. She knew things weren’t easy for them and she knew that things would never be the same, but they could be better with the way they had grown. But moving, it wasn’t something that Callie thought Arizona would ever do. She knew Arizona was still hurt, she could tell the way she looked at Callie, and the way she went about things and tensed up when they were close. She couldn’t blame her, Callie really did things wrong towards the end when she wanted to leave Seattle and go to New York.
But it all started in the bar bathroom, and the place that held so many memories, memories that Callie just couldn’t bare to be around anymore. She needed a clean slate and that was the reason why she had Penny her escape goat for the most part. But now she couldn’t deny Arizona sacrificed so much more when it came to Sofia and she was now co-parenting from New York, together and doing their best to not let their emotions really take over. But it always always emotional when it came to the both of them and trying to really just allow the other to come to terms with it all. Callie knew it wasn’t easy, she felt weird trying to really just be normal, but then again, she could tell Arizona was fighting with herself.
Last night was something that happened and Callie knew he wasn’t ready to talk about it, which is why she wasn’t talking about it at all. She was just allowing Arizona to have her moment to think about it and Callie was as well. But looking at Arizona, Callie was feeling all these things she thought she had pushed down. She didn’t think she would feel all of this again, and yet here she was, trying to really keep herself in check and not cross a line, because she didn’t want to scare Arizona off, when they were finally in a better place then they have been for a while now. But this wasn’t just about them anymore, they had a daughter who was getting older and understood a lot more then what they give her credit for.
That is what today was about, Arizona was getting shown around by Sofia, and somethings Sofia has saved for her. The cool air hit them and Callie shivered and looked over at Arizona seeing she was doing the same. It felt like Seattle, just a little more wind with the huge buildings that were surrounding them. “Sof, put your gloves on please. I don’t need you getting sick.” The little girl rolling her eyes but did as she was told as she has a beanie on, and a chuckle was heard. “Guess it feels like home then huh?” A playful smirk was on Callie’s face as they finally made it to stop. The first one Sofia wanted to show Arizona, it was Times Square and the huge candy stores knowing that Arizona was like her.
Sofia looked at Callie to let Arizona know. “So, first stop on Sofia’s list was times square, but most importantly, she wanted to show you some candy stores, knowing you can’t say no to candy, as I can. So, hope this is okay.” Callie looked around and noticed the city wasn’t as busy as it usually is, and she knew the next stop, but right now, she was going to allow them all to do what they could do and get what they could fit in their bags and Sofia having a small backpack, it meant she was ready as well.

Callie knew she was in the wrong moving. But with the history there for Callie, and the way things have panned out for her, maybe moving wasn’t that bad of an idea. No one knew her in New York, aside from Penny, who now, didn’t matter either. She had a history in New York now and that was moving there with someone she knew for so little time and now it was over, and now Callie, she was just throwing herself into work, that was until Arizona sacrificed everything again, to come to New York for Sofia. Who was settled in and who was always up before Callie to get the day started with how much there was to do in the city. Callie doesn’t know how she does it, how Arizona puts everything behind her and just does things for Sofia. That is something Callie is learning to do, because this move was all about her and not about anyone else.
Seeing Arizona had brought up so many emotions she didn’t know she had anymore. Callie felt as if time hasn’t past, but then again, at the same time it has. Arizona was different but yet so was Callie. That is why Callie didn’t want to hold back what she was feeling, she didn’t want to hold back anything else because she felt like this could be their second chance. Or maybe third, who was counting at this point, because its always been the blonde for Callie, no matter who she was with after, it has always been her, and maybe telling her so soon after she to there was a bad idea, but Callie goes in feet first and doesn’t think things through the way that Arizona does. That is what balanced them out when they were together as well.
But not wanting to feel too down about anything that was said last night, Callie wanted to make today about Sofia and having both of her mothers there with her. Callie was nervous about what Arizona would think, but being It’s Sofia technically planning the day, it might be best. But Arizona was right, today was about their daughter and letting her have the moment of both of them together. “She will have the best day. She is ready to just be here with us and show you some of her favorite places and some places she and I love to go. So, I think you’re going to enjoy it as well.” Callie flashing Arizona a smile before she grabbed her bag and they were gone out of the apartment and walking to the elevator before getting in and Sofia hitting the ground floor button.
As the doors open and Arizona was ready along with Sofia and her, they entered the streets and the cool breeze hit all of them and Callie looked to Sofia and nodded at her. She wanted to show her the broadway section of New York City because Sofia wants to do a show with Arizona. Letting the blonde walk beside them, Callie looks down and then back up to make sure Sofia knew just where they were going. Today was going to be good she looks over at Arizona and laughs. “Makes it feel like we’re back in Seattle with the cool weather huh?” Breaking the ice is all Callie needed to do and show Arizona who she is now and not dwell on the fact she turned her down last night. But look forward and hope soon it will be a yes.
