IGNORING THE HANGOVER FROM WHEN HER FIRST DARE GOT HER DRUNKER THAN SHE EVER WAS ,   Briar was having fun with  THE NERVE.  She didn’t need a lot to act on a dumb idea and she was known for never backing off from a challenge anyway ,   so it was the perfect game for her. 

Her newest dare ,   however ,   was just plain rude. 

She accepted it ,  of course she did  ,   but her first words when she turned on the camera to live stream the challenge were accompanied but a fake-made face.       ― ❝ Before anything else ,  I need to highlight how rude it is to laugh about a girl’s curse.   Whoever sent this one ,  know that you’re a bad person and karma will hit you hard  ❞  ―    the princess gave the camera a smile ,   all teeth and perfectly believable -- thanks to the years of polite smiles --  and left the camera for a minute to take off and set up the tripod. 

               ― ❝ Ok ,   now it’s better.  As I was saying ,  my challenge now is to play pretend and wait for someone to give me a true love’s kiss ...   Or ,  at least that’s what I’m telling them when they “woke me up” ❞  ―     she drew the quotes in the air and winked at the camera before ripping of one of the pink pages of her notebook to write ‘ kiss me ‘ with her beautiful handwrite.

With the camera in place ,  all Briar had to do now is lay on the beautiful yet uncomfortable sofa from the common room ,  with the sign on her chest ,  and wait for her victim.

@gotnerved​ ::  𝙳𝙰𝚁𝙴  : 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚊𝚜𝚔𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚠𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 "𝚒 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚌𝚎".   𝙿𝚁𝙸𝚉𝙴  :  $𝟻𝟶.

IT WASN’T A DIFFICULT CHALLENGE ,   it was pretty tame from what Briar was expecting.  The dare that shined in her phone screen was ,   at most ,   a little bit humiliating.  But Briar could deal with humiliation.  After all ,  claiming she had lice ,  albeit untrue ,   was nothing comparing with the time she accidentally feel asleep during a royal dinner and woke up with her face on the soup. 

Needless to say ,  but Briar could deal with pretending to have lice for a day. 

She could ,   however ,   choose a better time to accept the dare.  The moment her finger touched the ACCEPT neon button and started recording ,   trying her best to not get notice doing it ,  the teacher called out her name.

       ― ❝ Miss Briar Rose  !! ❞  ―     Sir Lancelot was a good teacher ,  but wasn’t exactly known for his patience.   That was the worse time for her challenge to begin ,   so Briar quietly wished ,   with all her heart ,    that his lecture about not using the cellphone during the class didn’t end up with a question.      ― ❝ I believe I’ve told you this multiple times before ,   but cellphones are terminally forbidden during this class.  You’re here to learn how to think strategically while commanding an army ,   not how to take the perfect selfie  or whatever you’re doing  ❞  ―    his tone alone was enough to make the princess shiver ,  even if his words weren nothing she wasn’t expecting.   She nodded quietly ,  hoping that was it.  But the kinght walked to her table before asking.      ― ❝ I’m glad we’re clear ,  Miss Rose.   Will you turn that thing off or will I have to take it from you ?? ❞  ―

        ― ❝ I have lice ,   Sir  ❞  ―    was her answer ,   holding her phone to record the teacher’s reaction  --  she was already screwed ,  so why not  ?? . It was a nonsensical answer to his question  ,   but was enough to drive him angry. 

And that ,   ladies ,  gentlemen and non-binary friends ,   it’s how Briar broke her record and got a detention before the second period.

BRIAR DIDN’T USUALLY DRINK THAT MUCH.  She did get a little tipsy now and then ,  but the princess was always afraid of going too far with alcohol and messing up even more her sleeping problems. And, when she did get tipsy, it wasn’t in those events.  She was excited when she joined the Nerve Game, but second guessing crossed her mind after drowning half of a bottle of vodka. 

Tripping in her own dress and cursing under her breath, she judged herself drunk enough to go on with the second part of the dare. She didn’t plan for that, but when did the mind of a drunk young woman need any plan at all? 

Taking one more sip straight from the bottle, she threw her body against the first person on her line of view.  ― ❝ OH MY ROSE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?? YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MY DATE AND YOU’RE CHEATING ON ME LIKE THAT ?  RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE ?? ❞  ― Briar noticed that being drunk made the lies acting easier, even if she let out a quietly happy laughed when she noticed all the head turning to stare at her and the other person.
