If there was one thing Clara loved, it was dressing up according to the time period they were travelling to. So, naturally, she found herself entranced by a beautiful amethyst satin-cloth gown. She'd just about finished dressing up when she heard the Doctor call out.

"Yes, I am. 'ang on!" She smoothed her dress over, gave herself a quick glance over in the mirror, then made her way back to the console room. "Let's go!"

The Doctor walked over to the TARDIS console and began to program the coordinates. He pressed several buttons and pulled several switches and then pulled down the last lever for the TARDIS to take off, landing just a few moments later. "Are you ready?" he called out, excited to get going.

She couldn't help but follow The Doctor into the TARDIS wardrobe. It was massive. Her eyes darted around the huge collection of clothes, of every size, for every occasion.

"I think this one looks nice!" She said as she held up a pair of neon pink and green shorts. They looked ridiculous but he could carry it off. "Or this?" She held up another pair of shorts which had tiny bowtie prints on it.

"Whdo you think?"

"What would you consider to be appropriate beach wear?" he asked as he went to TARDIS wardrobe. The wardrobe was huge with clothes for nearly everyone. He figured there had to be beach wear in there somewhere.

"Sure you need a bed. Where else will you just lie down and relax?" She gave him a confused look as she shuffled into the kitchen. Clara had only recently started travelling with him, so she wasn't sure what it was like, having him around 24x7.

"Yes, normal people drink tea. Some like coffee." As she spoke, she tilted the kettle to pour out the tea into an empty cup. She dropped in a cube of sugar and added a splash of milk to it. "Normal people also go shopping, sightseeing, the likes. You can do that." She said as she hand him the cup of tea. Here you go, your tea."

"I don't really need a bed," he told her, "Tea sounds lovely though. Is that what normal people do? I suppose if I'm stuck here for a bit, I should try to act more like a normal person. It's not exactly what I'm used to. I'm not sure I've stayed in the same place for a week before, or at least not in a very long time."

Aha! As soon as he said 'dare,' Clara's eyes widened in amusement. She rubbed her hands together, giving him a teasing grin.

"Hmm. A dare. Very bold of you, Doctor." The brunette let out an evil (at least in her head it was) giggle. "Well, Doctor. I dare you—I dare you to—what I dare you to do is not wear your bowtie for the next one hour."

It was a silly dare, she knew. But she also knew how much the ma—Time Lord loved his bowties.

The Doctor shrugged slightly and went to sit in the chair. He thought for a moment. The option was a tough one all things considered, but he figured he'd start out strong. "We'll start with a dare," he grinned, excited to see what she might come up with.

"Look how far I went, for fear of losing you" and refuse to believe these two were in love 🥺🥺🥺

Clara had just finished closing up the diner—why yes, she did need money to survive on Earth, didn't she?—when she heard a loud noise coming from behind the door that led to the main console room of her TARDIS. Huh, weird, she thought, as she locked up the diner's doors (not that it really mattered) and went into the console room.

As she walked in, a button on the console was blinking rapidly.

"What are you trying to do?" The brunette asked, voice laced with concern. In response, the button started blinking more rapidly. "Alright, alright!" Clara muttered as she pressed the button before she felt a force pushing her back and knocking her into the wall, everything immediately going blank.

Sparks were flying everywhere as Clara's American diner-themed TARDIS hurtled through the time vortex, the world around it warping and shifting, colors blending and stretching like taffy. With a disorienting jolt, it crashed through the fabric of reality, plummeting into a universe bathed in ominous darkness. Eerily quiet and devoid of the familiar hum of city life, this bleak realm was a stark contrast to the vibrant, bustling world Clara had known.

The TARDIS, battered from its abrupt transition between dimensions, lay at a precarious angle amidst the desolation. Its neon lights flickered weakly, casting feeble glimmers in the oppressive darkness.

It felt like hours before Clara regained consciousness, her heart pounding as she took in the disastrous sight of the TARDIS. He seemed...almost wounded. The power had died down and Clara felt a shiver run down her spine. She carefully got onto her feet and made her way out, only to be greeted by an eerily still and quiet beach. Even the waves were barely crashing against the surface.

"Where am I?" She wondered aloud, unsure how they had strayed so far away. She just knew there was something terribly wrong here.
