Off Grid Illegal Really???
So i’m reading a lot of articles and seeing where it says off-gridding is illegal. The counties States and Federal Government all say it is. Why? Because we chose not to conform to the Norm?
We don’t want to be plugged into the power grid or water system and Sewer? (i’ll discuss this in a Minute) Not that where I am I don’t have any of these things even though I live 5 miles from the closest town. I lived in a big city and the more I think about about it the more it sickens me.
When you think about the water you waste. You wash dishes and let the water run down the sink as you grab the next dish. You let the water run as you brush your teeth. You flush the toilet for that kleenex or toilet paper you just blew your nose in. Or you double flushed because these new low flushing toilets they make on the market just don’t perform like they should.
Then the biggest one of all that gets me is the WATER TREATMENT PLANTS those are the ones that should worry everyone. The water you do dishes in the water you defecate in all go to the water treatment plants. They treat the water with a tone of chemicals just to clean it so you can drink and shower, wash your clothes and turn around and defecate in it again. Its a vicious cycle and its been happening for years and everyone lets it. So it’s a Drink and Re-use situation.
Once the feces turns to sludge where do you think that goes? It goes to a Landfill or spread on agriculture land to grow food grass etc. Those of you on Septic You are adding to it as well. because those septic guys have to pay to dump it as well.
We Have No Mail Service PO Box Area Only according to the USPS yes it does exist look it up. Fed EX and UPs Don’t deliver. We have no trash service. We have no county maintained roads, we build and fix them ourselves. No water We have to haul our own water. We cant dig wells, If we tried they are over 1500 ft deep and cost upward $50,000
We do our own things because we don’t want to be their subjects. We want to live simple lives. We don’t want to worry about what the jones are getting or doing or who left their trash cans out past the given time. Or who left their bike in the street for the upteen time.
We go to work come home cook our food and relax. sit and watch the sun set . Spend time with family. Have BBQ’s with neighbors help those in need. If someone needs a hand fixing a car, a ride to work or wood to keep warm or if there was a catastrophe and needs a whole house of things we come together as a community and get it for them. There is none oh its not my business and turn the TV on and forget about it. We are family whether we are 1/2 acre away or 10 miles away we are all family. We do things the way it was 100-200 years ago everyone helped everyone out. Not like today’s society where everyone would sell their mother to get ahead.
We grow our own food help out our neighbors do our own thing without hurting anyone else but yet they want to call us rebels among other things because we wont follow their rules. No I say they need a History Lesson from their ancestors, they need guidance from their grandparents and great- grand parents on how they survived without all the rules and regulations and smaller government
Once again I am no writer I speak as I talk tho I am holding my tongue because things like this make me angry. I was raised by my grandfather who taught me not to take shit to stand up for what was right and he was born in 1902 and went through alot in his life made a hell of a living for being the son of a farmer and only had a 2nd grade education. But then again a 2nd grade education back then was equivalent to a college degree now a days (LOL).

Goat soap made from scratch.
So I had a pint of frozen fresh goat milk and wanted to try my hand at soap making. Well I grabbed what oils I had. Which consisted of coconut, peanut and olive oil. Well I mixed them all together along with my lye. With no recipe. I proceeded to mix first batch looked like lumpy mashed potatoes. So I put it in the microwave crossing my fingers I didn't blow us to kingdom Hall. Once a liquid again I began to mix. After scaring the cats to death giving the dogs heart attacks. And my poor husband who was trying to watch his show on his phone. Because yes we live off from no TV no cable totally on solar and I was using every bit up with my hand blender to make this batch of soap. Finally it gets translucent where I can put it in a mold to sit over night. I cover it with plastic wrap and towels to keep warm. In the morning I notice it's harm but with liquid on top. It's oil I had used to much oil so much for no recipe. I drain the oil pay off the nice solid brick. Slice a piece off and proceed to try it. It lathers nicely smells a lil off should have used more essential oils. But boy are my hands soft. Had a friend try at my office she said the same thing smell is off while using but when dry smells of Rosemary and a touch of lemon and her hands have never been softer. So I think for a throw together soap mix is a winner with a few tweaks it should be awesome. I'll try again tonight.

Laundry day
So today is laundry day I was running out of laundry soap as usual my daughter reminds me. So I whip up a batch so I don't run out pretty simple to make and cost pennies Per load I use Fels Napa ivory baking soda, washing soda mule team and biz (cause it's cheap and works) I some times add the softening balls that you can buy now to make it smell really good but my daughter had other plans for them. So here's what the process looked like minus the grated thumb. 😂😂
