Bonus if you add the hc that one of his special interests is dogs (yes I’m basing that one off the interaction between him and Sojourn. No I don’t take criticism.)

We talk so much about how toxic overwatch can be at times but the other night I was trying out Mercy in quick play (before that I’ve never tried support so I was,,,not doing great!) and there was a Torb and Bastion on the team that were SO SWEET TO ME THE WHOLE TIME

They always typed thanks in the chat any time I rezzed them and the Bastion even helped me out and made sure I didn’t charge into battle without everyone else (something I’m working on NOT doing but ah welp)

And then the one time I managed to actually kill one of the enemy’s on my lonesome the bastion said thanks cuz he was getting targeted the whole time 😭. If somehow the Bastion and Torbjörn are reading this y’all made my night

Tldr: Bastion and Torb have my heart and sometimes people can be nice on this game

I understand that the OW lore is confusing as fuck, and that things have gotten retconned in the past but it takes a very quick (and free!) google search to find that not ONCE has Blizzard stated that the cinematics or comics (minus the holiday one I believe) AREN’T canon. Please do research before you post or reblog!!

The constant rolling disaster that is Overwatch's game development aside, what really perplexes me about how Blizzard is handling the broader franchise is their continual insistence that a canon narrative exists in spite of their equally continual refusal to tell anyone what it is.

Like, okay, the events of the games aren't canon. Fair enough: the games are multiplayer-only, and you can't account for player actions.

Oh, and the animated short films aren't canon either – they're properly understood as in-universe propaganda, not depictions of actual events. That's a little high concept for you guys, but fine.

But surely the comics are canon, right? Well, no; some of the comics (we're not telling you which ones) were canon at one point, but the writing team has decided to go in a different direction.

My dudes, what is left? The weird Source Filmmaker porn? Is that canon? Well, apparently it's at least as canon as anything else!

There’s something so tragic about shipping Jack Morrison and Gabriel Reyes together because you have to imagine the slowburn that would occur with these 2 guys that, despite all the pain of joining the military at roughly the same time, going through the same, excruciating, dubiously-morally-right enhancement program, fighting in the Omnic Crisis together, and being the first members of Overwatch together, they always still had each other

Only for both of them to slowly lose their ways through the years. Only for one of them have a mission go so awry that any chance of a future of Overwatch was destroyed by his desire for vigilante justice. Only for them to be at each others throats following this for the rest of Gabriel’s days.

And maybe you don’t interpret the events of Retribution as that, and that’s totally fine! But that leaves you with something even worse to think about: the death of Gabriel Reyes and the rise of Reaper

I’m curious as to what Jacks reaction to seeing Reaper for the first time was in this scenario.
