blm isn’t political when it’s used without any context (like being in an instagram bio). having maga in a studio’s bio would be something completely different. one is saying that all races should be treated equally and the other is the catchphrase of a presidential candidate and of the republican party. see how it’s different?
this is more of what i was going for! as long as it was not politicized as just more of the equality factor vs the unfortunate politics that came into it

I think she might mean the violence that ensued in summer 2020. Not peaceful protests of course, but the burning and looting of businesses in some major cities in the name of BLM. doesn’t mean BLM is at its core supportive of that, but it was used as an excuse by some of its fringe supporters to do that to business owners and people who didn’t do anything wrong
