Look, sometimes you are driving and are struck with a thought. Sometimes you just really wanna be friends(?) with someone you got mud on one time and who has thought you were icky ever since, and when you not at all subtly try to bare your soul they reject you so you resent them until a tree falls through a window at a sleepover. You know how it is. The instrumental is from a slightly different version of the song I thought suited AJ better and I had to pitch it up but it was still too low for me, so have mercy. Changed lyrics under the cut.

R: Applejack, that's too distasteful! AJ: (Spoken) Distasteful? You think I'm distasteful? Maybe, but I think I can change your mind. here's the first part and here's hum rarity design

more headcanons for this highschool au! (but actually i just repeated most of them)

rarity and fluttershy are in their sophomore year and applejack and the others are freshmen when they come together as a friend group

they need a year or so to start dating

because even though applejack has a huge crush on rarity from the start she also often finds her opinion extremely annoing and wrong

or maybe she just panics

anyway. once they argue all night during a party at pinkie's about edible glitter in cocktails or something and in the morning they are found asleep cuddled up in each other's arms

everyone (especially rainbowdash) can't wait for them to get together but when they do they actually become even more unbearable (couple goals)

aj is really good with horses and she teaches rarity how to ride a horse in a field near her farm. consequences are rather disastrous

rarity didn't know that riders wear white breeches only for shows and competitions alright

after that rarity agrees to ride only if the horse walks at a slow pace and is led by aj. which is still great for picknics and camping

and aj starts dressing better and using skincare. rarity also makes her take better care of her hair and it turns out her hair is very wavy

when rarity graduates they go to a trip in europe. they know they kinda have to breakup after because rarity plans on going to new york so it's all very bittersweet

don't worry they'll get together by the power of a hallmark movie plot

they are kissing in an empty biology class bc my gf said so btw
