he glances across the room, his eyes catching a familiar face. he pauses his actions for a moment, trying to get a better look, before finally realising who it is. hazel. his lips curl up into a smile, for what reason he’s not exactly sure, but he finds himself walking towards her. he was always fond of hazel, always would be, but what they had scared him. he wasn’t built for relationships, almost as if his mind wasn’t wired that way. if there was anything he regretted in life, it was destroying their relationship completely. maybe they could have ended up as friends if he was simply honest with her, but that was another thing jax wasn’t capable of. “hey you,” he taps her on the shoulder, offering a polite smile. “long time no see.”
#( c. hazel )#i hope this is ok???#idk where they could be so oops made the location vague#they can be anywhere tho tbh

scoffing at this argument, nina nodded her head in the most sarcastic way a person can. “yeah? well, then, you must’ve rejected everyone to end up alone. but for some reason i just can’t seem to believe that,” she retaliated, offering a fake smile in his direction that quickly dimmed back into the smug side smirk she could never seem to take off her face when he was around. she couldn’t ever pinpoint the cause of that; maybe it was because she was satisfied when she got to pick at him, or maybe it was because she always knew exactly how their night would end. either way, she taunted him with it, but never unlocked eye contact. she was confident in the things she told him. oh, but those brown eyes. “fuck you.” this was said with less malice than it should’ve been; she just wanted to get a rise outta him. as always.
“who says i’m alone?” he rolls his eyes at her, masking the fact that her comment was slightly true. if he thought about it for a moment, he was practically alone. there were few people he considered friends, those who truly knew him deep down, but he quickly shook those thoughts away. nina didn’t need to know that, no one did. “oh, is that what you want?” he leans in, dangerously close, as a smirk tugs at his lips. “if that’s all you wanted, babe, it can be arranged.” he often used pet names to simply irritate her, to evoke a reaction out of her. playing these games with her was one of his favourite pass times and fortunately, for him, she never seemed to disappoint him. “my place or yours?”

a small, closed fist pounded ( rather angrily ) against the closed door. “ jax !! ” the brunette shouted his name, pace of her knocking increasing with each second she stood outside his door. lucky had thought the two had plans to go out together, so she’d spent her precious time getting ready, only to have all of her texts and calls go unanswered. there was no way she’d was going to stay home after going through all the effort of picking out a perfect outfit and a perfect makeup look. “ you better have a good reason for ignoring me !! pinche pendejo–open the fucking door !! if you’re sleeping or hooking up with someone in there i swear i’m going to KILL you !! ” her first had begun to hurt from all the banging, so she turned to a flat palm, hitting the door only a few more times before dropping her hands to listen for a response.
he contemplated ignoring the banging outside his door, sleeping seemingly being his current priority, but once he was snapped out of his sleepy daze by a familiar voice he fumbled his way out of bed. this wouldn’t be the first time he’s forgotten about making plans, especially considering he was out drinking the night before. “fuck--” he doesn’t even bother throwing on a pair of pants as he scrambles towards the door. “don’t kill me.” he states as he flings the door open, pouting in her direction as he quickly turns back towards his bedroom to get dressed, leaving the door open for her to walk inside. “i was pretty fucked up last night, cut me a break -- alright? i’ll make it up to you.”

alysa sighs as she roles over on his bed. she had let herself into jax’s apartment like many times before. the woman had been bored and wanted entertainment. so she had rid herself of her clothes when she entered. left them like a little trail to his bedroom and donned one of his shirt instead. teasing. like she so often did. it was always fun to get her friend flustered. but alysa had expected him to be back half an hour ago. she’s about ready to leave when the door goes. a smirk forms on her face and her head turns to face the door. “you better have been at work this whole time,” alysa calls. “or else you have some serious making up to do. i’ve been waiting ages.”
to say he was in an awful mood was an understatement as he slammed the door to his apartment shut, throwing his keys and wallet to the side as he entered. he was so irritated in fact that he almost didn’t notice the piles of clothes leading a path to his bedroom. he frowned for a moment, a bit confused, they weren’t here this morning when he left. then it clicked -- alysa. once the realisation had hit him he quickly made his way to his bedroom, in desperate need of her company. “do you think if i knew you were here, wearing nothing but my shirt, i’d stay away?” he rolls his eyes at her playfully, trying to disguise the soft smile tugging at his lips.

nina liked to consider herself clever, and often times she found that she could win any argument or banter; but he was always a challenge, with his quick, equally-sarcastic responses to her digs. half of her wanted to punch him in the face, but like usual, the other half wanted something entirely different with him. it’s not like she could help it; he was easy on the eyes, but not so easy on the brain. he’s the first person to give her a headache, but also the first person to relieve it. a strange paradox. rolling her eyes, her smirk never left her face, and she stepped just slightly closer to him. “wouldn’t you just love that?” she asked, glancing away for a moment to look at the empty street. the only thing illuminating it were a couple dimmed street lamps and a traffic light that had just turned red, changing the aura. “so tell me – what’s a guy like you doing out here alone this late at night? oh, wait, let me guess: nobody wanted to hang out with you? you were stood up by a date? either of the two seem pretty reasonable. knowing you.”
he would never admit it out loud, not even to himself, but he quite liked katarina. there was something about her that intrigued him greatly, something special that him drawing him back towards her which was a challenge in itself. one of his worst traits was how quickly he grew bored of people. perhaps that’s the reason he practically craved her attention. she was difficult and always put up a challenge, getting what he wanted from her always came with effort which he found exceptionally attractive. “oh please, i have to reject people most of the time.” he rolls his eyes as he speaks. that statement, of course, was far from the truth. sure, people liked him, but it was rare his friendships were ever genuine. not that he cared. “besides, i much prefer tormenting you.”

she hated closing up the restaurant; but oliver had to leave early that night, and it’s not like the bar was really all that busy on a sunday night. but by the time closing came around, she was racing to get outta there; the men she had to deal with, a group of them at the very end, were enough to make her wanna rip her hair out. they were loud, drunk, annoyingly flirtatious, and she spent a lot of her time tending to their needs (sometimes she thought they just called her over to annoy her). but finally, the night was over, and she turned the key in the door and left, walking down the familiar street she always took to get back to her place. it’s not like she had a car; did she even need one? her apartment was close, and besides, with the money she made, a car was a distant dream. she was about halfway into her walk, looking down at her phone, when she nearly bumped right into someone. “hey! watch it—” she was just about to go off when she looked up and immediately recognized the face. jax. “just when i thought my night couldn’t get any worse.” her words were nothing if not rude, but she still kept her smug smirk resting on her face.
he wasn’t quite sure where he was heading, he was just looking for something exciting to keep him occupied. he was forced to attend one of those mind numbingly boring business meetings for several hours that had completely drained him from any and all energy he had. so needless to say, jax was in desperate need for a pick me up. naturally, his eyes were glued to his phone instead of paying attention to where he was going, texting multiple people in the hopes that one of them would be up for a little partying. the moment he collided into someone, he was prepared to tell them off, but the familiar voice left him grinning. “babe, i can make your evening a nightmare if that’s what you’re into.” he taunts her with a smirk as he shoves his phone back into his pocket. well, looks like he’s found just the thing to keep him occupied.

“ bye adam ! i’ll see you tomorrow. don’t forget to tell your dad what you learned today ! ” harley waved off the last four year old and his parent with a smile on her face. as they turned the corner, she leaned up against the side of the daycare center and sighed loudly. the child had been there since opening at six and had stayed later than closing which normally was at six pm. she didn’t care that she had to spend extra time at the center, it was just draining being surrounded by terribly hyperactive toddlers for twelve hours. she happened to look around and caught sight of a familiar face. grinning, she walked over greet him. “ jackson ! hey. it’s been a hot second since i’ve seen you. what are you doing here ? how are you ? ”
jax was hungover as hell, quite possibly still tipsy from last night. it must have been an amazing party, considering he couldn’t remember half of it. he was currently texting lila in his tired state, explaining to her why he didn’t pitch up for work yet again. was this the third day in a row? he wasn’t even sure at this point. his attention as his name was called, a familiar voice ringing in his ears. “what have i told you about calling me jackson?” he greets her with a grin as he walks towards here. “oh, i’m just walking home. woke up somewhere around there.” he points behind him to one of the many houses in the area. “i’m good, fantastic really, how about you?”

oliviisms:
“Have I mentioned how not ready I am for the school year to start?” Olivia groaned, looking down into her glass that was nearly empty. She was enjoying her final weeks of freedom before it was back to grading papers and issuing detentions. Each year of teaching was becoming seemingly harder on the woman, knowing that she would much rather be back in the city, writing about things that mattered. “Back to waking up early, bitching out teenagers for texting instead of paying attention – what the hell happened to summer?” With a big sigh, she brought the glass to her lips at the thought and tossed back the rest of the dark liquid.
“why don’t you just, i don’t know -- quit?” he suggests with a shrug as he takes a swig from his drink. he had little to no understanding when it came to responsibility, or having to do something he didn’t like for that matter. life was an easy ride to him, for the most part. “who cares if they don’t pay attention in class? it’s their own damn fault.” he shakes his head at the thought. ‘just be the cool teacher everyone likes, that’s what i’d do.”

Lila couldn’t help but snicker at his comment, her eyes still closed. “This? Is easy peasy lemon squeezy, Mr. Hale, don’t be ridiculous. Nothing dangerous about it.” The blonde considered doing a trick as well, to impress him but decided against it– for the time being– and just inhaled a deep breath, relaxing some more. “I’m just stretching before another boring day at the office starts, y’know.” She teased lightly. “And also– that’s not true,”
“can you honestly blame me for being concerned? you’re dangling in the air.” he raises a skeptical brow before breaking into a soft chuckle. “boring? how can you be bored whilst in my presence? you’ve hurt my feelings now.” he clasps a hand over his heart for dramatic effect. “it’s exceptionally true, my dear.”

‘‘yeah well, i thought it would be nice to give you a break from getting turned down again.’’ danny chuckled lightly. ‘’Nah not really. I was thinking of just picking some place at random and maybe having a little bar crawl if things get messy- and i never disappoint.’’
“turned down?” he laughs as he shakes his head. “that mouth of yours is going to get you into trouble one day.” he taunts with a smirk. “well, i suppose it’s a suitable option. shall we get going then?”

‘‘ey, why don’t we just go for a drink, maybe grab a bite to eat and see how things go from there, okay? you look like you could really use a drink and i don’t know, i guess im kinda hungry too….and i swear this has nothing to do with the fact that it’s happy hour or that my hair is looking especially perfect today and i wanna show it off…..’‘
“well, usually i’m the one doing the asking out but...” he let’s his words trail off into a chuckle as he nods his head. “ i suppose just this once i’ll let someone else do the honours. did you have someplace in mind? i hope you’re not going to disappoint me here.”

“A wise man once told me to hang in there. So,” a smirk played across her lips. “That’s exactly what I’m doing.” Lila let out a chuckle, keeping her eyes closed. “Are you sure you’re allowed to be back here? Or are you simply lost?”
“as much as i love watching you,” he states with a soft chuckle “i’m starting to wonder if this is a bit dangerous.” he was one to talk, he got up to plenty of reckless behaviour. “just be careful, alright?” he grins. “am i allowed? darling, i’ll go wherever i please.”

intro !! if you’d like to plot, like this post and i’ll message you !!
——— woah! wait, was that THEO JAMES i just saw walking down mainstreet? no, of course not. that was just JACKSON HALE. they’re TWENTY NINE years old and identify as CISMALE. they have been in Alder Heights for TWENTY YEARS and work as a BUSINESS MANAGER. i’ve heard they can be ARROGANT and DECEITFUL on their bad days. but don’t be put off, because JAX can also be CHARMING and SPONTANEOUS. no wonder people around here call them the VAINGLORIOUS.
heyo my dudes it’s june again, back at it again with a trash child. so this is jackson but he’ll 100% insist that you call him jax. he is your reisdent rich fuckboi here to ruin lives
jackson grew up in a rather wealthy lifestyle, he always got what he wanted and due to that he’s grown up to be awfully cocky and full of himself. he was also one of those typical popular kids in high school and he took a lot of pride in that. it was the same scenario when he went off to college, majoring in business because that’s what the family wanted so he couldnt really argue, but he didn’t really care either way. college was the best years of his life really.
when he graduated he did decide to pull his life together but due to the fact that he was handed a manager position in his father’s company immediately after he graduated no one in the workplace took him seriously. despite the fact that jax is actually quite intelligent, nobody actually trusted him in the company and constantly doubted him. eventually, jax gave up on trying all together and nobody cares enough to do or say anything about it, especially his father.
since then jax pretty much spends his life partying and sleeping around. he also tends to get himself into a lot of relationships and has been unfaithful quite a few times. he’s so lost and out of place with life that he can never commit himself to anything for long, no matter how hard he tries. another thing about jax, he will tell someone he loves them and not actually mean it, but the moment he truly loves somebody he would go out of his way to deny it -- even if it results in hurting their feelings. he has a tendency to hurt those he cares about a lot. he also lies almost on the daily and has gotten quite good at it.
a
wanted connections:
friends: they mostly party together or hit each other up for a good time
close friends: the few people he’s surprisingly honest with at times but they still have to deal with his fake ass
fake friends: people who only hang around him because he throws his money around a lot
exes: oh boy, he has a lot of those. give me all the angst
hookups / fwb: he sleeps around a lot so this is a given
wow ok this is all i can think off but ofc i am down for anything !!
