Hiatus Announcement

HIATUS. Hey Everyone! My apologies for not being active lately. I’ve been really busy over the past month working extra hours in preparation for my vacation. I had hoped to be on to queue several threads and write the starters I owe, but work and my personal life outside of that left me too busy. I even wanted to try and be on today to reply to threads, IMs, and answer what I can in my inbox and queue them for while I’m away. :/

BUT I wanted to make time before I call it a night to let everyone know that I will be away from now until May 13th. However, I will be lurking and will try to reply to what I can via mobile when I get the chance, so place keep that in mind if you see a reply from me and it’s not formatted the way I usually format/cut my post.

Again, my apologies for my absence, but I also wanted to update you guys on my whereabouts before this vacation begins. I will also be on to talk via IM when I can. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! :)

UPDATE 

IN-FLIGHT. Aside from the Flash crossover episode that I need to see, I’m fully caught up on the past 3 episodes of Supergirl. Binge watching those episodes also brought back my muse for Kara. I’m back and plan on replying to threads I owe and whatever is in my inbox over the next few days. I’ll try to write up at least one thread but it’s a little after 2am. Thank you all for sticking around as I’ve been away this past month. Looking forward to roleplaying and getting to know everyone a bit more as I’ve gained some new followers while I was away. <33

IN-FLIGHT. Sorry for my unannounced disappearance, folks. Life got busy with work and the muse kind of went to sleep for a bit because of it. I’m behind on a few episodes but I miss Kara. I’m hoping to catch up on the episodes this week!

A faint smile emerged, lips remaining pressed together. There really was no questioning it. Kara had been the only girl who managed to capture his heart – without meaning to, without even thinking about it. For so long Winn had done nothing but push his feelings away and remained silent, pretending it wasn’t killing him on the inside. If not for his father breaking out of jail (something of which still had him out of sorts) and the fears that were brought out because of it, he may not have made such a bold move. It could have ruined everything, potentially threaten the very foundation of their friendship, yet she turned around and did the unexpected. “Yeah, probably kind of lame of me to say but you are both those things - amazing and beautiful,” he admitted with a nervous brush of his hands.

“It could have been under better circumstances, better timing, maybe. You don’t ever have to apologize to me. Besides, it was more like a confused, kind of happy thing.” It was strange how light his chest felt now that it was unburdened by the weight of hidden affections. He always anticipated a rejection, dreading it if he ever managed to gather up the courage to tell her. But it seemed as if they shared the same fear.

“There’s no harm in trying it, seeing if us being together works. Staying over… I could do that.” His gaze drifted to their interlocked fingers, her touch calming him. “I love you too.” His head inclined a degree, closing a bit more distance. “Would it be okay if I kissed you again, because I really want to.”

Kara laughed and shook her head, “It wasn’t lame for you to say those things. It was... sweet, Winn. Thank you.” He was the first person that made her blush. The first person she shared every secret with, including the secret of her powers that now gave her the moniker known as Supergirl. She was surprised that she managed to keep her feelings hidden from him for so long, but Kara was finally relieved that such feelings were confessed and relieved to have not gotten a rejection. 

When he agreed to her idea about staying over, Kara suddenly became nervous as her heart starting beating much faster. He stayed over multiple times in the past and on the couch for every visit. What’s the difference with him staying over again? “Yeah, I.. I would like that. No harm in trying, right?” 

Kara bit her lower lip as she slowly made eye contact with him. The way he was looking into her eyes made her smile, and how he asked made her almost want to laugh. “Winn,” Kara replied, her hands moving up his chest to wrap around his neck. “You don’t have to ask for that.” Before she could even give him the chance to respond, Kara pressed her lips against his and pulled him closer.

“When I invited you over for pizza and pot stickers, I was not expecting you to be so... giddy.” Kara laughed as she reached over to grab some food on her plate before resting comfortably against the pillow on the couch. “What happened to you last night?” Given how the country had just celebrated Valentine’s Day, Kara couldn’t help but assume that it had to do something with that. 

“Actually..” Kara replied, “If it’s anything like what happened last night with Mon-El and I, you should probably keep the details to yourself and just... eat and talk to about other things... because yeah, no. Not happening.” Her voice trailed as she took a bite of her pizza as she regretting putting herself into an awkward conversation.

When Kara woke up the morning after her time with Mon-El, she found herself smiling about the whole experience and their conversation that lead up to it. For once since coming out about her powers, Kara finally felt as if she really could have it all. They spent the morning together before Kara followed him out only to see her sister walk around the corner. “I’ll see you later, Mon-El.” She smiled at him before stepping aside for her sister to walk in. I think my talk with Maggie worked. 

“Someone’s happy.” Kara teased as she turned on the coffee pot, grabbing two mugs for herself and Alex. “I’m guessing you enjoyed your time with Maggie last night? You can’t stop smiling.”
