Rae rolled her eyes looking at the male “That would make you cassipeia in this story since you are the one hyping up my beauty. Would you offer me up to your Uncle? as punishment for doing the unthinkable?” She replied before shaking her head “Keep it up, but your charms fall short here, you can appreciate from far away too, with this being my store getting kick out is always a possibility.” She mused putting on her fake smile before looking at him taking her book “Why does that not surprise me, after all males of that time loved taking what they wanted no matter who they hurt or destroyed to get it.” She mused leaning on the counter.

            “i merely stated that it could make her jealous, never said that you were more beautiful than her darling. to answer your question, no, i would never let any of my uncles get their hands on you.” william found the woman not only beautiful but intriguing as well, and no it wasn’t because she was turning him down. he didn’t see many people so young spending their time in bookstores, much less owning one that specialized in rare books. “if it helps any the servant got his revenge. disguised himself as a woman to seduce him into their bed before drugging him and removing his manhood.”

Loki took a sip of his amrbosia looking at the male “Well last I check I’m pretty sure French history is long just like your true name. I don’t think you had any children to pass it to?” He mused before sighing I had no idea, granted our people were going through quite the ringer at the time…lost quite a more then few of our people.” He paused calling upon his knowledge “I’ve heard of the name but never had the honor of meeting them in person.” He replied before shaking his head “That was a time where I’d been completely lost, and fell into the hands of someone who sought to use me without my permission ….I hold no hate for the humans William, I still find a great majority of them completely stupid and not worth my time but there are some who make this life enjoyable.”

            “us french can be very long winded. no, it was just brielle and i so once the ship went down they split the duchy between a couple of marquis that were close by.” it was probably for the best that they didn’t give the land and title to someone else, brielle’s father was very close to her and he could imagine that her death was hard on the man. “well don’t consider it an honor if you ever do, he’s the one that killed her. i’m still debating about skinning them alive or throwing them into tartarus still alive.” william nearly growled out, tossing back the rest of his drink before the charmed glass refilled on its own. “well, just remember that i’m only half human. if you ever want to go after that someone you don’t even need to ask, just tell me where to be and i’ll be there.”

               “ah really? those women seemed lovely, such a shame for them to keep company such as you.” she jabbed playfully. “don’t tell me you don’t recognize me.” she smirked. “you may hurt my feelings that way.” she laughed. “that makes one of us with a godly relative who is fond of them, actually that makes you a rarity.” asta didn’t waste time in taking the drink the bartender offered it and downing it straight in one shot. “another!” she called. “why thank you, and here i was worrying about wrinkles.” sarcasm and humor dripped from her tone. “glad to hear i have some charm left.”

            “i seem to recall a certain spring festival where you were on my arm, you don’t regret those nights do you?” he leaned forward, whispering the comment in her ear with his trademark grin on his face “i’m sure the greek panthenon would love you, just look at what zeus does and do the opposite... works for me at least and most of my relatives don’t want to have me killed.” he shrugs before grabbing his drink, downing it it like she had before motioning to the bartender for another as well “there’s no doubts in my mind that you still have all your charms and even more darling.”

Loki looked at the other shaking his head “I seem to remember a time when you had your own pretty titles William. I rather like when you call me majesty, even added a cute little bow, guess you are back in my good graces” He smirked laughing “Of course I am” He mused going to hug his old friend, William had been the first person to ever like and care for him for him. He moved to take his seat when the drink appeared he was about to grab it when the other’s words hit him like a truck… “….Hecate is dead? William I had no idea…” He paused of course his friend needed him and he hadn’t given over to his rage since his own mothers death but he still felt the furniture bow to his will as he turned over unoccupied tables. “I will do anything to help bring justice for you and Hecate, as for whatever you mean by scheme I’ll have you no judging my new life Will. I am….happy with my time spent here…this man what do you have on him?”

          will took a sip of the ambrosia and shrugged “by my accounts i’m still a duke, even if they believe me long dead.” he smirked and returned the hug before sitting back down. he glanced over the top of his glass before nodding “she is. almost a year now...” he sighed “you ever hear of someone going by the emerald warlock?” will leaned back in his seat “hey, no judgment here.” he chuckled “didn’t realise earth was your speed is all. i seem to remember seeing footage of you screaming rather ominously at a crowd of people in germany to kneel to you... just assumed you were playing the long game this time.”

Rachel looked at the male with great disinterest even with the name drop of his aunt, oddly enough she smirked looking at him “You’re aunt is the biggest bully I’ve ever seen, heaven forbid someone out shine that narcist. but alas I’m not as foolish as Andromeda  to boost such beauty.” she spoke in perfect French not backing down even as he moved closer to her. “You have such a feeble mind to all of sudden forget, though I suppose if the person is long gone…you could forget it or get it for sentimental use.” she mused slapping her book closed on his hand “oops, sorry didn’t see it there” She smirked with a glint of amusement in her eyes.

          the male couldn’t help the grin that overtook his face at her words “it was actually her mother cassiopeia that said she was more beautiful then the nereids. poor little andromeda was a peace offering to poseidon.” william explained, head tilting slightly in amusement “is my mind really that feeble if i was in shock to see a beauty such as yours? is it so wrong to appreciate the beauty around oneself?” his dark eyes only left her face for a moment to glance down at the book, pulling his hand out and grabbing it from her “hmm... i met the author once, bit of a dullard, this was actually the writings of one of his servants but he stole it from them.”

         the attractive trio caught asta’s eye upon entry. though that was less to do with said attractiveness, and more of the lust emitting from the thrupple. it was unmistakable and tangent to her senses. she was usually about to tune out such things, but having caught it in her sights she was unable to not take note of it. it was quite literally ignoring the elephant in the room. especially once he initiated conversation. a better look at his face made the archangel take pause, that was familiarity. not the ‘i slept with you once’ type, but something else. he took his seat, and with the bar’s more acute light upon him it clicked into place. “i could ask the same of you,” she responded, a interested gleam to her smirk. “last i recall you were swimming with the fishes. and yet, here you are.”

          william chuckled before pointing towards the models on the dance floor “oh but i’m not alone at all.” he smirked and studied the woman, it taking a few moments to place her face... to be fair he was quite old and had been with a long list of women in that time “well my dear i’m a lot tougher than i look. besides, i think poseidon is rather fond of me as a nephew.” when the bartender came over he ordered drinks for himself and his dates “what about you astaroth? you’re looking quite young for your age.”

She was stocking the shelves when she heard someone call her name. “yes?” she turned around to face him. he looked familiar. it was a moment before she realized he matched the exact description of a man michael told her about early. “a fan of my work or a fan of my boyfriend?” she teased. michael told her the guy had a tendency to lay on the charm pretty thick and he wasn’t lying about that. zee wouldn’t hold it against the guy at least. she’d ran into her fair share of smooth talkers. “william right?” she asked as she finished placing her items on the shelf in front of her. “how can i help you today?”

            “angel man mentioned me? how cute. it’s nice to know he’s thinking of me.” will teased “in the flesh.” he bowed slightly as he greeted her “yes, i’m looking for something of my mothers. it’s an old brass drachma about the size of an american half dollar.” he slid his hands in his pockets. will knew he’d have to tell her some thing but he didn’t want to confess more than necessary. “she used it to bestow her blessings upon her followers and it would have made it’s way through the hands of many witches over the years.”

“Considering the fact that you’re not an angel in any of my battalions or my offspring, I’d prefer you didn’t,” he deadpanned. “But you can call me by my name, which is Michael.” He ventured to guess based on the attitude and level of cockiness he was dealing with someone from either the Greek or Roman pantheons. “I believe humans call him The One God, the Christian God.” As in the God that pushed the Greek and Roman deities out of mainstream religion and into the backlogs of history. If this man didn’t take three steps back and check himself that was exactly where he was going to end up too. “And who might you be?” he asked.

            “vanilla.” will tsked “what a shame.” it’s always the built ones that are boring he thought to himself before smiling “hmmm.... the archangel michael? well i must say the paintings do not do you justice. although, if the paintings were accurate there would be a lot of artists put to death for their immorality.” he, very obviously, looked the male up and down again before bowing slightly as he introduced himself with all the flair of his courtesan upbringing “i am william laurent, duke of versailles and son of hecate the goddess of magic.” he straightened up with a small flourish of his wrist like when he’d meet with kings

Rachel was behind the counter reading a book, it had been pretty slow today which she didn’t mind. She heard the door alert her to a new customer but usually allowed them to look for themselves before asking if they needed help. When someone approached the counter she marked the page she was on to give him her full attention and then he opened his mouth making her want to roll her eyes at his flirting style. “Aphrodite was a conceited Goddess who required everyone to fawn over her, I lack such a need.” She replied before looking at him. “You came here for a reason I hope?”

          will couldn’t help the grin on his face at her words “oooh, you might want to lower your voice when you insult her beautiful, my aunt can be quite vindictive if you insult her.” the dark eyed male leaned on the counter to slightly invade her space “i most certainly did, but to be honest with you darling i can’t seem to find the will to look for that book. wasn’t even for me and the recipient has been long dead so they can wait a little longer.” he didn’t even know if he could even get the book to brielle, but he was still going to try... perhaps that strapping angel man would do him a favour.

Loki had been surprised to see a snake slither into his office only to deliver a message from a person he hadn’t heard from in ages. William, was Loki’s first friend someone who liked him for who he was, his mother had been his master when his taste for magic turned slightly darker then his own mother would teach. They’d spend so long with each other as he made his way towards the meeting place. Of course the male had enough style to get a private room for their meeting as he felt himself smirk looking at William. “Director in mortal terms still holds enough power to take you down Will dear and its King now, though it has been years since we last spoke.” he replied taking a seat across from the other stealing his wine glass. “What brings you here William?”

          will couldn’t help but chuckle at the comeback “so you’ve turned into a title collector then? so you’re a god, king, and director? i do hope i’m not missing any... your majesty.” he stood up, bowing deeply before returning to his seat “well when you say it like that it sounds like you aren’t happy to see me. i’m hurt.” he frowned slightly before making another glass appear, this time filled with ambrosia “i’m looking for someone, as one of my mother’s favourite students i though you might want to help hunt down the man that killed her... if you aren’t too busy with whatever scheme all this is.”

His face remained largely expressionless as the man hit on him. It wasn’t the first time someone came into the shop just to stare at him or ask him to reach for something heavy so they could admire him. “Generally speaking, I am the law.” In more ways than one. Sure he was commander of Heaven’s armed forces but in his long life he’d been in many positions of authority. “Sadly for both of us, I’m one of God’s designs. Is there anything I can help you with today or are you just looking around today?” He clearly wasn’t as interested in any of the magic shop items as he was in Michael himself.

          will smirked, raising a brow “you know, that has the same vibe as you can call me sir or daddy.” he said “pretty kinky if you ask me.” the handsome man probably wasn’t, based on his attitude he wasn’t having any of will’s shit but it was still fun to mess around with someone that good looking. “you’ll have to specify which god, there’s quite a lot of them out there. oh, you already are helping me handsome.”

          ever since the death of his mother will had been not only searching for her killer but also for her medallion. if you didn’t know what you were looking for it would just look like an old coin, but hecate had used the old piece of drachma to bless her followers with additional power. while he did want the coin to be able to amplify his powers will also wanted it to have a piece of his mother with him. he’d heard of zatanna and her magic shop but will could tell there was more to it than meets the eye so he was hoping that even if the coin hadn't fallen into her possession that she might have some information on it's location. will walked into the shop and looked around for the magician, smiling when he spotted her “ms. zatara?” he walked up to her “i’m a big fan of your work.”
