“Maybe it’s time I be selfish and protect those I care about. Because every time I’ve done things for the sake of your family, someone I care for dies. Or gets taken from me,” Marcel stated. “I know of the child or should IO say teenager with her humanity off. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” He said. “Yes, there is or was. There was Gia. And Thierry, And Cami. Davina too. Everyone I cared for. Gone at the hand of this family. But now I have a way to make sure it never happens again to anyone. You’re free Rebekah. I thought you would be happy about that,”
Marcel could always feel when Rebekah was near. Just years of being around one another. So when she came in, he was waiting to see what she would say and do. He entertained himself with the man in front of him. She must have became bored because he compelled the man to take care of himself and turned his attention to her. “The answer is no,” Marcel said nonchalantly. “And yes, I know you’re going to ask about Klaus. Kol made it very clear he was displeased with my actions,”

Marcel walked down the steps to the temporary prison he had made for Klaus. No one, not even his most loyal of men knew where it was. “Only you would want to know my grand plan,” He said as he walked closer to Klaus. “But it was you who taught me not to show my hand,” He stated. “Yet, I’m the one who can leave between us and you... well you’re trapped like a dog,” He stated. “Your family is doing well. Demanding I free you. But all I can think about everyone I’ve lost to you,”
"and what now?" he called as he looked at the one that he used to call son. so many years had passed since he had last seen his family. since he had last seen his child. staring at marcel he wondered what his next steps would be if he had kept him here for this long. "what are your plans? has the new king finally lost his spark? has he finally come to realize that the power he holds is in fact none at all?" klaus taunted dryly as he pursed his lips. @ofmarcellus

“I’m thinking of all the people I lost due to your brother, including you,” Marcel said. “He reign of terror has to com e to an end and if I have to be the executioner of it, so be it. It’s my cross to bear,” He explained. “I’m very well aware of the child or should I say a tribid teenager with no humanity,” He explained. “You’re right. There’s my morals and standards and how I am standing up for what I believe is right,”

Marcel saw Cemi rush towards him and he kept his composure. “Cemi, calm down,” He said to her, not moving out of her line of fire. He didn’t even have the time to revel in the fact his friend was alive. He felt her tug him into a empty room. “After you died, Davina was killed by Kol on accident but when we tried to bring her back, Freya and Elijah stopped it from happening,” He said. “it was too much and a plan to bring down their downfall was put into place. So I locked Klaus up while the rest of them were put to sleep to protect New Orleans and my people. And it’s been a great couple of years,”
"Are you going to tell me what the hell is going on?" She had taken no time in engaging him in conversation, anger boiled through her, more uncontrollably now that she had turned. She could not allow it to consume her, however, it was proving more difficult now that she was confined to the walls of the town hall. She could not begin to understand how people coped with this, feeling the sweat on her brow and the beating of her own heart ringing in her ears -- it was deafening. She played with the hem of her shirt, head pounding and fearing others were staring. Without a thought, she took Marcel's wrist and tugged him into the empty room, locking the door behind them.
"Begin explaining why Klaus is locked up, and a certain 'deranged' girl who is actually Hope believes I'm somehow to blame?" @ofmarcellus

“Where one Original comes, another follows,” Marvel rolled his eyes as he saw Elijah. “If you’ve come to discuss where your brother is, I’ll tell you what I told Hope. And yes, adult no humanity or manners having tribid Hope. Hell. No,”
"This town certainly cannot be faulted for its charm, or hospitality." He was doing his best to remain open minded, and in truth, his statement remained. The locals had been hospitable, welcoming to those whom they did not know. He knew not many would be as forthcoming. He however, was keep to find his family, knowing many of which may reside close by. His first target, Hope, wishing to know her whereabouts, to ensure she remained alright.

Hope looked at marcel without much emotions once he snapped . All hope did was listen and when he was done , the tribrid smiled . Mockingly at marcel yet her eyes held once ounce of emotions . ❝ ⸻ I agree with you . My family are the cause of a lot of things that you lost . Indirectly to some but that’s something they couldn’t control because the decision of what their enemies make is not their own … But you’re quite the hypocrite . You , yourself are power hungry , admit it . You’re the beast and you LOVE it . especially knowing that you now can kill my family , which by the way , YOU TRIED TO WHEN YOU BIT THEM ALL . if it wasn’t for aunt freya’s spell , I WOULD BE AN ORPHAN . ❞ Hope reminded marcel he never killed them despite biting them .
❝ you’re acting like you’re better than my family when in reality WHAT YOU DO IN THE END IS ALWAYS UP TO YOU . No one else’ influence , marcel . let’s stop and think here … my father may have raised you but the final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands . no one else’s . the decisions you make ARE YOUR OWN . I don’t really know cami or who she was aside from what I read in uncle elijah’s diaries and yet you blame cami’s death on my father , knowing how much he loved her and would have done anything to save her . ❞ that was as far as she knew about cami .
❝ aunt davina and my father had their outs but that wasn’t my father’s fault . davina had her own enemies which were and still are THE ANCESTORS . the ancestors killed davina and knowing how much davina loves kol , how would you even justify killing Kol if you really cared about Davina ? Gia ? the vampire YOU turned in order to rebuild your little army ? ❞ Hope snapped her fingers and snapped the neck of all of his little vampire guards around them . ❝ ⸻ she would still be alive if you never even turned her in the first place . ❞ Hope pointed out nonchalantly . ❝ ⸻ this is where you are wrong . I know who my father is . I know of all his deeds . I stopped believing in fairytales by the time I was 5 , BIG BROTHER . . you hurt me the moment you robbed me of my father . the moment you decided to kill my family and I repeat … If my father didn’t trick you into imprisoning him , they would be dead … the moment you betrayed my father and started parading him around like some trophy . You hurt me , marcel . My condolences if my father never put aside his ego for you like he did for me . A LITTLE GIRL . is that suppose to be insulting ? You are just acting like a bratty child having a tantrum , all because daddy didn’t love you enough . so you have to punish him for breaking some of your little toy soldiers and act all holier than thou . I INTEND TO FIGHT FOR ALWAYS AND FOREVER , marcel . you can keep new orleans . If you don’t want to deal with my family anymore , THEN STAY AWAY , go back to the city you wish to keep down under your rule , and RELEASE MY FATHER . ❞
Marcel realized that this Hope couldn’t be talked to. She had her emotions off. And he chuckled. Her words could hurt but not as much as her trying to turn things on its head. “Tell me... who knows exactly where your dad is?” He said. He was playing with fire. “Whose been able to spend more time with him more than you? Cause one time, before he was your father. Before your could even thought of being conceived, he was mine. And I was just as foolish as you. Maybe not as much,” He stood up. “The thing is Hope, there isn’t anything you could do to make me tell you where he is. In fact, knowing how you are now, entrusting you with him would be a grave mistake seeing as you have your humanity off,” He said. “Maybe if you shut it on, I’ll consider it,” He moved to step over one of his man. “Because in all my years, I never had to stoop that low. Cutting off the one thing that could actually make you enjoy the eternal life you have, little sister,”
triblud:
“The same person who watched so many people I loved died at his hands. At the hands of his enemies. Cami. She took care of you. One bite from one of the vampires he sired and she didn’t even stand a chance. Not to mention, an ex of his forced her to turn by slitting her own throat,” Marcel roared. “Davina got hurt because of them many of times. Gia, a vampire I turned. Not to mention countless other s of my men. My family,” He snapped. “Maybe I am. But that’s because Klaus raised me to be. And I had enough of it. So I locked him away. aI did that and I don’t regret it, Hope,” He knew who she was. “It’s not my fault that your father couldn’t put aside his ego for you. And trust me, I have known it longer than you have,” Marcel snarled. “But I am sorry that whatever happened in the fture to make you this happened. And if I was apart of it, I am sorry. But the rest of it. The blood on your hands because there is some... it’s on you,” Marcel said. “You want your dad. I’ll take you to him. I won’t even put up a fight. But I hope you can deal with the chaos he will cause when he’s freed because he will. he has more enemies than you know and if you want to spend your life fighting them for him, so be it. But I will not anymore,” He shook his head. “If you know me, I don’t harm kids and you, little girl, are still a child wanting the fairytale of a father,”

Marcel smiled at the blond. If only she knew how she handled the man in front of her but he figured it was best to leave her out of it for now. “I’ve dealt with man drunk men like him in my time. They just need some guidance,” The man finished his drink and wandered away. Marcel turned his attention back to the blond. “I don’t know how you put up with all of that,”
Marcel smirked at the waitress’ reaction and he slipped her a hundred-dollar bill. “Trust me, you won’t have to lift a finger. I got him,” He explained. The drunk guy tried to reach for the bottle and Marcel pushed him back in his seat. “You’re cut off,” He explained. “I’ll have another one for myself and some water for him,” But the guy began rambling off and Marcel snatched him by his shirt. “You wanna keep your teeth in your mouth,” He said. “Drink,” he compelled him and the man took the water glass, downing it.

Marcel had seen the bigger man, tailing him for a bit before he lost sight of him. But then he felt his presence nearby and Marcel pulled him into a headlock. "I don't care if you're a mountain, you gotta be quicker," He said to Emmett before pushing him away and them for a hug. | @bde-cullen

❝ ⸻ Who the hell are you to decide that ? ❞ Hope snapped at marcel as she stood up . ❝ You're a grown man , Marcel. I'm sorry for any problems you have , but part of being an adult is to stop blaming your others for whatever shortcomings you have . Considering how you ran new orleans , maybe you should really look in the mirror . You're just as much as a monster as he was . Possibly worse with your hypocracy . That's pretty basic ❞ her father was ashes in the wind in the future . Marcel held her father captive for 5 years . Not long after the hollow kept them apart . Only for him to die . sacrifice himself for her . In the total time she spent with her father was no more than 4 months all put together . possibly less . ❝ Because of YOU I grow up without a father , I grow up with so little memories of him . the catalyst that started it all . He missed my first of many things . a father should be there for his daughter . he may have SIRED plenty of vampires but HE IS MY FATHER . YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO DECIDE THAT . . . I'm getting my father out and if that's something you are ready to die for , then i'll just have to KILL YOU . . . Are you prepared to TRY and kill me ? ❞

Marcel was enjoying the woman before her. She could keep up with her liquor but hold conversation pretty well in between. “Trust me, I have years of experience. Now you gonna tell me your name before we make it to shot... what number is this again?”
Marcel had probably been on his tenth shot, not even feeling the liquor hitting him. "You ready to give up yet, looking at the person sitting across from him. Maybe it was deceitful but he was a vampire. Might as well use it to his advantage. "Come on, one more. You can take it,"

“Trust me, if anything, i’m protecting that little girl from her family,” He stated. He looked at her. Something too familiar about her. He heard her words and he contemplated it for a moment. “Why do you want with him so badly? Because I can assure you, him being locked away is something I am willing to die for. Because Klaus is a father to many. Whether by turning, by creating or taking in. And as much as there is a apart of me that loves him, I hate him just as passionately. He had a penchant for that. Hopefully you don’t learn that too, Andrea,” He had some sort of notion of who she could be but it was crazy. But crazier things had happened in his world.
She knew too much. His men that were in the bar were alert. But he gave them a simple look. He had been to war before. “i needed a vacation. And when I dod, I make sure Klaus is taken care of. You want to see for yourself? You can join him,” He didn’t know who she was but he wasn’t afraid. He had learned from the most devious of them all. “If you have beef with Klaus, get in line,”

Marcel smiled at the woman before her. “Everyone should visit one or twice. You’ll really fall in love with it. The culture and history,” He said. He heard her words and nodded. “Not a happy place for you?” He asked. He knew she probably could sense what he was and he remained with a neutral smile. “The pleasure is all mine,” he said. “Have you had a chance to get a drink and grab some food,” He asked her.
“I wouldn’t say ungrateful. Change is hard. And when there is a swarm of new people just coming in, it definitely can be uncomfortable,” He said. “I’ll admit something too. I’m a bit homesick as well. I miss New Orleans. The food. The people. Even the heat. I would take some humidity over this dry heat,” He admitted. “It’s not stupid. The good and bad memories, they make us who we are,” He offered his hand. “Marcel Gerard,”

Marcel eyed the girl. She was off. He could tell. When he heard the name, something in his memory reminded him of Hayley. “Marcellus. But Marcel for short. My father gave it to me,” His father of some sort. Might have been hiding him but at the same time, he didn’t want to think about it.
Marcel saw the redhead woman and couldn’t help but chuckle. “You’re a kid,” He said. “Someone might need to ID her,” He joked, though he was just trying to protect her. “I know the game. I don’t know you well,” He said, though there was something... he couldn’t put his finger on it. “I’ll bite. What’s your name, kid?”
