Panel & Workshop submissions
Submissions for panels and workshops are now open :D
Panels will be held in the main theatre between 9:30am and 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. They will also be livestreamed for online attendees.
There are two workshop rooms for up to 20 people. There will be no livestreaming of the workshops due to limited space and access. However, if people running workshops want to submit small video versions of their panels in advance for the online attendees, you are more than welcome to do so.
Submissions will be open for one month, until 15th of April. Please be aware that we will require any slideshows/media/videos that you want to incorporate into your panels by 1st October 2025 at the latest, so we can get all the digital elements lined up.

Panels & Workshops
Hello, hello, my ducks and darlings! A quick update for the forthcoming Plans and Schemes!
We're going to be opening submissions for panels and workshops on Saturday 15th of March and will have them open for a month initially, depending on how many submissions we have!
Panels will primarily be done in our biggest hall and we aim to livestream as many of them as possible.
For panels, you can do solo or with a squad. Durations can vary, but we will cap them at 50 minutes per panel. You can put several topics in your submission so we can sift and get a good mix.
Workshops are much smaller than panels, with a maximum of 20 attendees. They are also more focussed with guided group crafting sessions or demonstrations.
They will not be livestreamed due to limited space in the rooms, but we do have plans to make video demos for our digital attendees as well.
If you want to submit a panel or workshop when the submissions forms go live, please make sure to include:
the subject (or several for panels)
the expected duration
whether it will be solo or part of a group
any tools/physical items that will be used (for workshops)
With the panels, the team will sift through all the submissions and make sure we don't have twenty people who want to do the same thing. If we have several submissions on a similar theme, it may be turned into an interconnected panel because common themes are delicious.
And as a bonus, for people who would like to spend time socialling and crafting but don't want to miss the panels, our upper hall venue has a screen and audio system, so we are hopeful that we may be able to livestream the panels in there as well while they are being recorded in the main hall.
From some of the chatter I've already seen in our server, we're already going to have a fascinating cocktail of all kinds of topics and crafts and I'm very excited for us to be able to start sorting things out and letting you know what's in store ❤️

Two more days for the kickstarter! We're sitting pretty at over £12,000! And for anyone who didn't want to commit to attendance so far in advance, have no fear! Once the kickstarter is finished, we will have tickets available for purchase at a later date ❤️
There will also be an option for ordering merch for the people who are doing digital attendance only, since that wasn't possible during the kickstarter. Not quite sure of the details of where and how yet because work is eating my brain, but Plans are in Motion!

Update time
We've got just under 2 weeks left on the kickstarter and so far have hit our target and our stretch goal, so any additional funding we get from now will go into potentially getting digital guests. That aside let me me tell you a little of what we have planned for the Wee Con.
Panels galore - we have the Q&A with our digital guests but also fan-run panels. Attendees - both digital and in-person - can submit topics for panels, whether individually or in groups. We're keeping them to a maximum of one hour and panel applications will be opened once the KS ends.
The current plan is to livestream the panels in the main hall of the venue. For any digital panels or Q&As, they will be released simultaneously with screenings in the venue.
The workshops are much smaller as they are more hands-on and practical experiences, with arts and crafts and demonstrations. We have two workshop rooms that fit up to 20 people. As with the panels, we will open workshop applications after the kickstarter has finished.
While we won't be able to livestream the workshops, as the rooms are too compact for full filming set-up and all the potential art supplies, we're hoping to release at least some tutorials of the workshops for all digital attendees. These videos will also be available for in-person attendees.
For both the panels and workshops, we don't know how many submissions we'll receive, so we can make no guarantee that everyone who wants to will get to do a panel. Once we know how many submissions we have received, we will be able to let you know how/when the decisions will be made.
We have a talent and cosplay showcase on the Saturday evening, where our fabulously talented creators and performers get a chance to strut their stuff. On the Sunday evening, we have the drag show and closing night party, which should be a fabulous time to be had by all! Music! Dance! Tapas!
For anyone curious about digital attendance and time zones, have no fear all digital attendees will get access to all digital content, even if they can't watch it in real time. Due to practical considerations some recordings will be available after the event.
So yes! We have a lot planned! Shenanigans! Tomfoolery! And hopefully, a fun time for all and sundry :D

In exciting news, the Wee Con is pleased to confirm we have Ass Tonight! 🍑 Well, not tonight, but in the future 😁
For the Wee Con weekend, we're delighted to have Alex Sherman and Alyssa Lane joining us for a digital Q&A panel ❤️
Speaking of which, digital tickets are available for folks who can't make it in person via our kickstarter

Some news for the Wee Con crew: While we did provisionally have a guest scheduled to attend and plans in motion, unfortunately (for us, not for them) they have been cast in a new production and will be filming overseas later in the year, including the Wee Con weekend.

Stretch Goal 1
Hail and wellmet! It's a peaceful Saturday and I have added the first of our stretch goals on kickstarter with some merch options now available as add-ons!
We have happily hurdled over the initial target. At this point we have our deposit paid for the main venue and this will also cover the insurance, tech support, transportation and general con-related shenanigans.
As mentioned before, we have plans for stretch goals. The lesser of these two goals is additional funding for the evening venue that we have dibs on.
The plan is to hold a spectacular party and drag show in the Roxy Central. Our stretch goal would be at least £500 to comfortably pad out the budget, as this would include all the staffing, bar team, the security and a technician to wrangle the sound and lighting systems. If we raise enough, we will be able to bring in a nice array of foods from nearby takeaways.
With this in mind, I’ve created a few add-on options including a chance to buy different tickets (ie. if you want to gift someone an online ticket while having a weekend ticket of your own) and some t-shirt and merch options for pre-order. All pre-ordered items will be available for collection at registration. Said merch will be made available to digital guests at a later date (kickstarter is hiding them from you!)
