What about the apology that never came? Forgiveness. It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody. You are relieved of carrying that burden of resentment. You really are lighter. You feel lighter. You just drop that -- and give it to God." Walk in the love and forgiveness that you've received from Jesus today. Giving grace to your enemy is the tea, which soothes your soul. - Unburden yourself through forgiveness. - Anger is a heavy burden to carry. Praying for those who hurt you, can set you free! Repeatedly, Jesus taught the importance of forgiveness. “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” - Matthew 6:14-16 NLT. We aren’t trying to change other people through forgiveness, nor are we approving of their actions. We forgive because God has forgiven us for our mistakes. We forgive because Jesus tells us to do so. We forgive because the price of unforgiveness is too high. As we near to a new week, let’s remember the remarkable forgiveness that Jesus displayed on the cross.
