rosalind: i mean, i don't know if they can exactly give them serious jail time but i'm sure they might try to if it comes down to it. depends on how many people would actually show up and what they were doing at the time agents found them i guess
rosalind: that's fair. it would be a good reason for the cover up, but i also think that there would be a good amount of people who would support the detaining and treatment of any form of extraterrestrial being. which is gross to think about, i honestly hate people's mindset sometimes
rosalind: if the government at some point had aliens (which i'm not saying they did or did not, but i would believe it) they are 100% involved in a cover up plot to distract us and pull our attention elsewhere.
rosalind: i don't think so. i mean, they couldn't just randomly insert themselves into a position of power, there would be too many questions about it. they'd have to start /somewhere else/ and work their way up to gain the control and power they'd want. i didn't say they'd be just an average joe, but they couldn't also show up one day and somehow overtake a powerful ceo either. it would draw too much attention to themselves and their cover would be figured out, even if people wouldn't assume "aliens" right away they'd know something was hinkey.
roman: i'm sure they'd find a way to do it. isn't trespassing on govt property a big deal? all i know is that no punishment is worth pulling up to an armed building the middle of the desert with a .1% chance of actually getting inside
roman: you're telling me. people are sick sometimes. i can understand wanting to run experiments because they may not be carbon-based lifeforms, but that doesn't justify their mistreatment for the sake of science. we can't know their pain tolerance or what bothers them, so we shouldn't be poking and prodding at them at all
roman: alright, i'm glad we can definitely agree upon that then. there's no way they'd be open about that at all. what i want to know is how they managed to get a hold of them and keep them contained (if that's what's happening right now)
roman: but what do we know about aliens, right? who's to say they can't take the form of something or someone exactly? if they can become humanlike, why can't they just immediately transform into the likeness of bill gates or someone and get rid of the real bill gates? nobody's gonna question bill fucking gates

rosalind: okay so i want to say i think everyone's just joking about it but, from experience and knowing people, i'm sure there's going to be at least a couple of people actually going there
rosalind: i'd like to think we're not actually harboring any alien lifeforms because that would be cruel to any cognizant being and i'd like to think we're not so cruel but i also know that we can definitely be cruel so ? could be either.
rosalind: okay, but wouldn't they not allow the whole area 51 thing to be played up so much if the fbi actually /are/ aliens? it's more likely that the alien beings escaped any sort of containment years ago and the fbi are covering their tracks that there's aliens somewhere by coming up with this whole "area 51" thing in the first place
rosalind: consider the fact that aliens could very well be someone you've interacted with, if my theory is correct and they were forced to take on some sort of human form as their ships were taken over by the fbi so many years ago.
roman: what do you think they're going to do to them though? is that enough for serious jail time even if they don't necessarily get in to the building and just the complex itself?
roman: we're definitely that cruel as a species, which is disheartening (least to say). it wouldn't surprise me at all. and that would be the reason why they're covering it all up, don't you think? because they know there'd be people like us who oppose the poor treatment of these beings despite them being otherworldly.
roman: so wait. do you think this whole thing is plotted by the fbi or not? because i can agree that it is. it's the perfect cover-up operation. you put people's focus on one thing, and while they aren't looking, you have time to mask a completely different thing. i.e.: the REAL aliens
roman: that's chilling, isn't it? i still think if we've been visited by extraterrestrial life, they've infiltrated the biggest powers of our planet though. i don't think they'd waste their time being an average joe, you know?

ROMAN: so, do you think people will actually show up to the area 51 raid?
ROMAN: i don't think it's for me, but i would like to find out if we're already harboring aliens on earth
ROMAN: i mean, it's not completely unlikely. i know for a fact that there's no way we're the only sentient beings in the universe.
ROMAN: what if the aliens have already infiltrated us? what if the fbi people /are/ the aliens and that's why they don't want us to find anything out? they've already taken on the human form to control us better

“don’t get me wrong, i love new york.” he began, brows pinching as he spoke because maybe that wasn’t entirely true. “but LA’s just so much better. you can’t get the same food around here.” he shakes his head, “i mean, i think i could write a whole article about why the west coast is the best coast, but i don’t think the new york times would post something like that.”

reece king. cis male. he/him.  /  roman gabrielli just pulled up blasting pursuit of happiness by kid cudi— that song is so them! you know, for a twenty-four year old newscaster / journalist, i’ve heard they’re really bitter, but that they make up for it by being so determined. if i had to choose three things to describe them, i’d probably say crumpled up newspapers, a tagged up journal, and running on 3 hours of sleep. here’s to hoping they don’t cause too much trouble!

quick facts !
full name: roman kennedy gabrielli
place of birth: los angeles, california
occupation: aspiring newcaster + journalist
sexual / romantic orientation: panromantic / pansexual
zodiac sign / birthday: libra /  october 7th
in-depth !
born in los angeles, california to a high-profile lawyer for a father (think rob kardashian) and a senator for a mother, success was practically written in the stars for graham. his entire family lineage, in fact, is filled to the brim with lawyers and politicians. basically, if you weren’t studying law, you couldn’t call yourself a gabrielli with confidence.
he was lucky enough to grow up in a very open-minded household, and those values have stuck with him since early childhood. what didn’t stick with him, however, was this desire to be a lawyer or the next president of the united states. ever since he was small, graham had been starry-eyed over the newscasters that he watched along with his parents. they seemed so cool--- so aware of everything, able to provide the people with news that was relevant to their lives.
when he shared this observation and want to be a part of it all, his parents laughed it off. what they didn’t expect was for graham to not change his mind at all. throughout his youth, he was always steered in the direction of law. that was what his parents wanted for him.
he does have a bit of a disposition to be obedient--- a need to be a good person, a good son. so (reluctantly), he obliged with their vision for him. even went to ucla and majored in political science for them. though he did minor in broadcasting journalism, much to their dismay. he’s even in law school now. but he hates every last minute of it. it’s not that he can’t handle the work load, or that he doesn’t understand it... he definitely can. he’s a very eloquent and intelligent man. his heart just isn’t in it.
recently, he’s secured a job with a news agency as a journalist, so he writes for the papers, and some of the scripts for the actual newscasters themselves, as well as steps in as a temp newscaster for what the company would deem negligible or last-minute things. basically, he’s the last resort. but that’s okay ! he’s making progress, and he’s hellbent on becoming successful and showing his parents that he can do this.
did any of that make sense
personality-wise, he’s a very sensible person. very tidy and precise with everything he does. a generally well-meaning guy. no room for funny business. a little bit bitter over the fact that he’s not really taken seriously in law or in the broadcasting world either. hates small talk--- would rather jump into deep, philosophical conversations (and trust me, he can drawl on for hours). very loyal friend. he’s baby. very personable. has this ????? need for everyone to like him? tends to be an optimist in most situations because he feels there needs to be more dreamers in the world. finds himself lost in thought a lot of the time, so if you think he’s ignoring you, he’s not. just questioning the universe.
ok im gonna shut up now PLS plot with me :) xoxo
