Admittedly, starting fights wasn't something that he made a habit of doing for two very important reasons; he had a career and reputation to uphold. Both of which things unfortunately went hand in hand down the path of life together.

Then there was his twin sister, who he knew would knock some literal sense into him.

Which wasn't to say he didn't need it because there were times that he did. Not that Melvin was stupid by any means of the word. A good portion of the time, he only pretended for reasons that others wouldn't typically understand. Not that he understood entirely himself.

And so, he eyes the other carefully, wondering if the question was a trick of some sort. Who knew with complete strangers these days. “Can't say I've been in terribly many fights, but it'd be nice to have that ability.” Who can say they'd be able, unless one was fit enough. “I take you are able to do that? I'm impressed.”

There was nothing new about this, it was just meeting up with drinks with an old college friend. One of which Melvin described her before they'd started catching up again recently as 'the one who got away'.

Yet the question begged in the back of his mind--had she truly?

After all, throughout college, both of them had got drunk on various occasions and one thing had quite literally lead to another. Not that he'd had any regrets, of what he could remember the bits and pieces.

“So, what shenanigans have you been up to lately? Anythin' you possibly needed help with…?” He asked with a cheeky grin, passing the cocktail menu over to Lennon as he spoke. It was likely this was going to go as per usual. Not that he minded all that much. “I just remember you texted me pictures of….well, somethin'. Hard to tell what.”

“Actually was too much coffee, I've got that habit ya know,” Melvin gently corrects her, yet doesn't fight when she pulls the saucer and its matching cup away. Given that she didn't give him any fuss, there was no reason to do so with the reaper. She was only trying to help, and he knew it, too.

“I s'ppose that explains it far too much,” he sighs,” though it's one of those things I can't seem to give up. I mean, already have a horrible habit of overthinkin' as it is. I don't need that added bonus factor.” He's shaking a tad bit, jittery, and from her touch she can probably tell.

“Workin' on that bit. I tend to feel like I don't put 'nough into this world.” A pause on his part; the overthinking again. “Is that normal…?”

There's a smirk playing on his lips, lighting up parts of his face that he'd possibly only describe in words--on a written page, that is. Though he'd so off said page if the thought was necessary. Something about what the other says, catches his attention.

In a way that can't be described, yet amuses him all the same.

“The boys I like are two of those three things. Care to take a guess which one I'm not into?” His question has a slightly flirty air to it, he can't very well help it from where he sits across from the rock star at the bar they're at. “I'll give out hints if ya need 'em, I'm generous like that.”

Hey fellas.

There's a blog named @/fucktrpc that's putting posts of dead animals in tags used for rpc. I'd recommend blocking that blog asap as they seem to be a troll blog looking to get some sick kicks.
