⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale is nervous for multiple reasons. One, the renaissance faire just came to an end and yet another party is within reach. He’s not the most social of teachers and it’s hard to gather enough energy to even get out of bed, let alone interact with multiple people; which brings him to item number two: the Staff Halloween Party at Neil’s. Even if he’s been working at the academy for a good few months now, he still hasn’t made much of an impression on most people here. Including the staff. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ...maybe not... ” He stares at the written invite and throws it at the nearest trash bin. If he doesn’t see the invite anymore, he won’t have to convince himself about the social responsibilities that came with it. He turns his chair around and closes that chapter to move on to better things, but the moment he does turn, he spots a fellow teacher facing him. One of the counselors and the religion teacher, of all people... “ Um... it’s not out of spite, I assure you. ” Very convincing. ⌟

⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale plans to form an astronomy club in the school. The only problem is getting students to be interested… he’s not the most fun teacher around, and definitely not the most charming. It’d need some convincing to get students invested in the club, or at least join, so here he is, having some trouble with recruitment. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ …excuse me. ” The first step is to gauge the interest of people. If the interest isn’t there, then he’ll have to entice them. “ I’m holding an activity for Astronomy… it’s open for everyone even if you don’t take the class. ” He shyly offers a brochure explaining a possible scheduled group stargazing activity. A list of constellations with pictures are found on the brochure to hopefully get a positive reaction from the students he passes these along to. ⌟
「 While roaming around campus during his break, Micah was reading and walking in order to catch-up with his chemistry class. He’s been working extra hard for that subject and even if he still has plenty of work ahead of him, he’s slowly getting his grades up. He was just about to start on another topic when he heard someone speak up from behind him, the voice all too familiar. ”Mr. Alexander? What’s up?”」
「 That probably wasn’t the best way to greet a teacher but he’s so used to goofing around with Gale the dungeon master that when he sees Gale Alexander the school staff, it was hard to bring in the formalities. He took the brochure he was handing out and gave it a quick look, curious to know what the fuss was about. “Oh, sweet! Is it here in the campus? Past curfew?” This worked for him since he’s not part of his class, but the idea of it all seemed really awesome. 」
「 Even if he was more lively and chatty when they were playing dungeons & dragons, he’s still very shy and quiet on most days. Micah can’t imagine him handing these out to that many students, and the thought of disappointing him with a failed event was something Micah wanted to avoid. Maybe he can drag his friends to come.. “Do you need help passing those brochures around? I can help you out if you want.” 」
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ Micah... hello. ” Gale’s greeting is a little odd, but the blond is used to this by now. He’s quite the oddball himself, judging from their adventures in dungeons and dragons, but his enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. He follows his heart and stays in character. Not to mention his willingness to be evil is something very admirable. It must have been hard to take on the bad guy role when you’re naturally a good guy. ” You came at a right time... I’m trying to promote this... ” ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – He hands over the brochure and waits for him to scan through. Right after, his reaction gives Gale hope that there are interested people for this! And to think he was getting eaten up by the fear of having 0 interested people... “ It’ll be in the campus... if I can get permission, it could last after curfew. The night sky is better at a later time. ” He explains some more, eyes seemingly sparkling the more he talks about the stars. His rambling only stops when he’s asked about his brochures, mouth hanging agape. ⌟

⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ Will... you? ” His tone is unsure, but if it were the truth, he’d be too happy for words. “ I will be very grateful... but I won’t know how to pay you back. ” ⌟

His truths were lies to her. When will he understand that she enjoys his company? You’d think after the first dozen of times she drags him along with her, he’d get it in his head, but nooo! Here he is insisting she’d rather not have him here. Oh, how wrong he is…
She waited patiently for him to answer her in full, the nerves gathering up and making her incredibly uneasy. Placing him in a tight spot was a bad habit of hers, but it was a double-edged sword. The truth doesn’t always favor her, and she still feared he’d end up admitting he’d rather just leave her.
Before the uneasiness ate her up, she felt a light poke in between her eyebrows and suddenly the glare was gone and in place was a look of bewilderment as she processed what he said.
A hand reached up to the touch the poked part of her face and she pouted, her blush spreading like wildfire. She couldn’t keep her gaze away from him much longer, especially after apologizing like this. She turned back to him, pout still there but gradually fading. He has control over her, and whether or not he knew, it was becoming dangerous.
Perhaps it was because he doesn’t speak as much as the ordinary person that she held every word he says to heart. What did he mean by that? Once more, he’s finding reasons to extinguish her flames, only to come back and add fuel to it once more. The black and purple flames of Vivi’s heart grew unsteadily, and this warmth was for him and him alone. He might not notice it now, but soon enough they’ll both get caught in her flames.
“Okay ★” Her mood brightened up, and she instantly forgave him for being a Negative Ned. She wished for him to associate her with good memories, not bad ones. She reached for the menu and moved to sit closer to him, arms once again hooked on to his. “Then I’ll have a long island iced tea… or maybe we can get a bottle for ourselves! Tequila sounds fun, hmm…”
Then again, did he even want to drink? “Will you eat and drink? Their platters here are good if you can’t choose a meal.” Hand raised, she called for a staff so they can finally order.
⌜ ☆。.:*: – It was good to see her lighten up once more. When she gets moody, a part of Gale becomes nervous. She’s the type of woman that will walk out on you and never return if you struck a chord. It’s a miracle he hasn’t said anything to her that will push her completely away, but it’s not impossible. It’s bound to happen. He knows this. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ You’re quick to be swayed. ” He says flatly, but a small smile soon follows. His previous thoughts are set aside so he can live in the moment and simply enjoy the night to the best of his abilities. He doesn’t flinch nor move away when she gets close, leaning closer instead so he can see the menu better. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ I’m leaning against both... you’ll get too drunk if we order any of the two. ” Then he’ll have to deal with her more difficult and louder self when the tequila takes over her senses. She’ll be spouting nonsense in no time and that seems like the opposite of a good time. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ I’ll drink... only if you promise to drink mildly... A gin & tonic...maybe? I don’t want either of us to go home wasted. ” He begins flipping through the menu, and settling on the platter she mentioned. It seems delectable enough, and they can share if it’s finger food. A waitress comes in to take their order, and Gale looks up from the menu to make a decision, “ An order of your classic platter, please... and... ” He turns to Vivi this time, wondering if she agrees to his deal or if she’ll remain stubborn. ⌟

Vivi doesn’t mind being called out but with him most especially, she felt defensive. Sometimes she forgets he liked that cafe, too. “I’m not exploiting them! I’m simply accepting their gracious offers. It’s not my fault they love me~♥” Unlike some people I know!
Even if he thought badly of her because of her tendencies to entice people to submit to her bidding, surely he won’t deny her when she says please? She locked her sight on his, refusing to break eye contact until he gives in. and he does, with a simple confirmation… She would have rejoiced immediately if not for the sudden check-up.
Face heating up as he touched her forehead, Vivi restrained herself from erupting in forced, obviously awkward laughter– a reflex she tries to control. She has a tendency to overreact when embarrassed, but right now she held her tongue and used all self-control she had to keep the embarrassment in, even if it clearly showed through the redness of her face.
This is a chance~! A strange but very welcome chance…
“I do feel a little faint…” Her figure weakens and sought support from Gale, body falling towards him, arms and a cheek now on his chest. She’s not the drama teacher for nothing! “I have something important to do today so I can’t…” Eyelashes fluttering as she looked up to him, Vivi poked him on the chest and traced small circles on his torso. Surely, he’ll give in to her simple request? “The coffee will definitely help, but if it’s not enough… you will take care of me, won’t you?”
⌜ ☆。.:*: – It’s not my fault they love me. Even now, she’s still too narcissistic. There’s truth in words but it does not make it any better. Charm is a dangerous power to have and abuse. It can turn ugly quickly and Gale can already picture the flirtatious Vivi getting stalkers if she keeps this up. Gale can only hope she won’t get the dangerous kind. He can only sigh at this, disappointment and worry now present. She needs to care for herself more. Especially now that she seemed to be sick. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Her face was red once more, as if heating up further. The worry deepens, and Gale is now conflicted between following her wishes and taking her back home. She seemed fine moments ago! “ Vivi... ” He calls to her, voice laced with concern. If she was sick, he’d rather have her rest and stay home. “ Are you sure you’re okay...? Resting is always an option... I highly encourage it. ” ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Alas, even when sick, the stubborn Witch Queen will refuse without a doubt. It’s surprising to him that she chooses work over herself, but she has always been passionate about both chemistry and drama. One of her more admirable and charming traits, if he were to be honest. Behind the image of a femme fatale, was a woman dedicated to both the arts and the sciences. Was it because of that same dedication that she finds herself sick right now? Gale hopes not. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ I understand. ” He gives in, hand taking hers to remove it from his chest. The swirling was tickling him. He noticed her hands weren’t cold, the opposite of her reddened face. Or was it just him? “ I... still think you should go home. But... okay. I won’t insist. ” Perhaps if his resolve was stronger and she didn’t look at him like this, he can say no. But as long Vivi remained Vivi, Gale can’t see himself ever breaking free from her spell. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ I really do wish you’ll take better care of yourself... but for now, let’s get your coffee. ” Hand still held, he leads her to the coffee shop near the parking lot. They were both greeted with the thick scent of coffee in the air. The line is nonexistent given the time of day, but the baristas welcomed them both kindly. “ ...order anything that you think will make you feel better... I feel tea works better than coffee since you’re sick... ” ⌟

rebelcase:
The temptation of implementing the no phones rule when they all gathered up was too strong. But knowing his group of friends, they can’t do that. The Sams would freak out if they missed a call from their sitter, and the rest of the guys (much like Neil) had a habit of posting too much.
Since he allowed Gale in and he was just there on the couch looking like an idiot, the party host in him is obliged to “entertain” his unwanted guest.
“Nothing. Crew just felt like partying and of course they drop by here.” He has to remember his friends’ advice of trying to be nice. Of letting bygones be bygones. There were two active voices in his head that spoke of contradicting things. The other still held onto childish spite, the other wanted a truce so he can drink and chill in peace.
He grabbed a can of his own and flopped down on the couch, one foot raised and rested on the other knee. Unlike Gale, he doesn’t wait for 999 years before drinking his and chugs the can down. God knows he needed to feel buzzed to hold a conversation with this man.
“Gaah– that’s nice.” Once done, he puts the empty can back on the table and reached for another. “I should warn you, my other half’s coming later. Heh. You’re in for a treat.” And by other half, he meant another member of his group of friends that just loved to bully Gale. Though for the other man, it was mostly just teasing.
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ I see... ” Gale doesn’t say anything more and awkwardly shifts as Neil sits on the couch as well. He might be on the other side, but there was still discomfort and an underlying fear he’d suddenly start shoving him. Instead, he drinks and talks. How strange. This wasn’t the Neil he knew. Gale expected Neil to leave him alone willingly, but contrary to his beliefs, Neil chose to stay. Pride as a party host, maybe? He does recall the villainous blond to be the type to enjoy hosting these gatherings. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – You’d think someone with a terrible personality would lack friends, but his social skills are surprisingly good. Or perhaps he has a charm? A charm that negates his distasteful personality of his and fools you to believe he means well? He doesn’t want to admit it, but the very fact that he chose to stay with him right now was starting to persuade Gale his opinion of him was wrong. Sort of. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale opens his own can and silently drinks, eyes turning to Neil only when he was hinted to arrive some time tonight. This makes Gale nervous. Nervous enough to drink his can half-way through. Beer was never his type of drink, but the bitter taste was better than the growing fear he feels right now. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ...you were the lesser evil. ” It’s hard to believe, but Neil’s ‘other half’ is boisterous and harder to ignore. Neil has a weakness: his pride and his embarrassment. The other one? Not only is he loud, but his shame doesn’t exist. Gale still remembers the amount of times he got called out for simply being himself. Those were not fond times. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ If he arrives... i’ll excuse myself out. ” Gale makes his dislike for the man obvious. He’s unsure if Zeke is still the same person, but on the chance that he is, Gale wants to make sure he doesn’t get a repeat of high school. “ I’ll find a way... Elli will understand if I involve Vivi in this. ” The witch. His nightmare, and his salvation. ⌟

「 From what he knows of this man based on stories he had the misfortune of constantly hearing some years ago, he’s incredibly passive. It’s with the prejudice that Allen thought he’d get up and do as he says to avoid trouble. He did the opposite just now and Allen couldn’t help but twitch in annoyance.」

「 “I don’t see anyone with you. Or another order. Pity.” True enough there was nothing that indicated this seat could have been taken. The librarian only had a book and his drink with him. There’s no bags or anything. Clearly, he was lying. “Pray tell, who are you with? I’ll be more than happy to apologize to whoever it is I accidentally stole a seat from.” 」
「Allen took a long sip from his cappuccino, his stare never leaving Gale’s. Even if he had no prior spite towards this man, he would have gotten one anyway if he acted like this on a regular basis. Why would he bother occupying two seats for himself? Tch. You truly have poor taste in men, Princess. 」
⌜ ☆。.:*: – If only this man asked if he could sit there in a nice way, Gale might have willingly given it to him. This is a public place and he has every right to sit down (unless of course it really is taken) but the way he keeps talking convinces Gale to not give the man what he wants. It seems the amount of selfish and spoiled people are increasing day by day... Sigh. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ She’s not... here yet. But she’s coming in a while... ” He assures him even if there was no ‘she’. He doesn’t like how he’s looking at him right now as if judging every inch of his face. Despite never being good at reading people, Gale notices how the red-haired male looks disappointed. He doesn’t even know this man...! ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Taking out his phone, he sends a quick text to a friend. Can I call? Please play along. He needs a back-up plan just in case this man gets too persistent. And who else will he call but the witch-- err, Vivi. Surely with the amount of favors she asks of him, he can at least ask for one in return. “ I don’t want her to arrive and see you here... she’s... moody? ” At least that part isn’t a lie. “ Please leave... ” ⌟

「 How does a boring, socially inept hermit manage to get the undying attention and desire of someone as vivacious and alluring as Vivi? They might have had a long history together, but the more Allen looked at the academy’s librarian, the less it made sense. His hair was awful. That one sided braid, really? Points for being unique, but the color was so dull, it mirrored his personality. And just to add to the salt, that same man is oblivious to her advances. If Allen had a dollar for every time Vivi would try and get Gale’s attention, Allen wouldn’t have needed to save up for his salon. 」
「 Allen decided to spare himself and stop paying attention to him. He’d see him at the library and teacher’s lounge, but he can easily be ignored by paying attention to more promising people. He did a pretty good job at pretending he doesn’t exist so far during his first few weeks in the academy. Too bad that streak came to an end when the only free seat in the cafe was right next to Gale’s. Allen shuddered as he held his cappuccino. Lady Luck was playing games and he did not like it at all. 」

「 Without asking for permission, he sits right down the vacant chair even if it meant sharing a table with the school librarian who he disliked for very personal reasons. Chin rested on his palm, he idly stirred his drink and proposed, “How about we make things easier for the both of us– you leave, I stay. Sounds good, hm?” Since he can’t get the girl, he at least deserved a chair. 」
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Apart from board game nights, Gale looks forward to weekends where he can have some time for himself away from his students and co-teachers. The students aren’t allowed to exit the campus so he knows the chances of seeing them for the weekends is low unless he heads to the library. Teachers he can’t avoid, but there is always the option to ignore. Gale feels he has the best chances of ignoring people when he’s either in the comforts of his apartment, or when he’s in the cafe. Everyone minds their own business at a cafe. Boy, was he wrong. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Book in one hand, Gale takes a long sip of his coffee as he reads the second half of a novel he’s been reading in between breaks. He plans to finish it before Monday so he can start on something new, but just as he reached the end of a page, his sanctuary gets invaded by someone far worse than Neil: a spiteful devil that hated him for no reason. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ...hm? ” He’s not deaf and he hears the man loud and clear. What Gale doesn’t get is why he should bend to the will of this asshole. He looks away from his book, puts it down, and simply stares at the man who just invited himself to his table. Not only that, he plans to make Gale move when he was here first! Even if he’s a very passive guy, there are some things even he would fight for. One of those is his favorite seat at his favorite (not that he has a choice) cafe. “ If you’re talking to me, please don’t. ” He sighs and removes his reading glasses. “ ...please leave. That seat is taken. ” It’s not. ⌟

lambofrod:
@ofstarsandbooks
Rod liked to believe he’s a generally good guy. Once he sees someone in trouble or needing a hand, even without being asked, he’ll dive in and make himself useful. How useful he actually is might be debatable, but it’s the thought the counts.
One afternoon, as classes come to an end and the students all branch out to either head home or attend club activities, Rod saw a chance to be a good Samaritan along the halls of the science building. Not too far from his classroom, he spotted one of the teachers exiting one of the rooms with one too many items in hand. He looked tall and capable, but Rod took it upon himself to approach him for help.
"Almost dropped that one, huh?” His voice came out of nowhere from right behind the teacher, hands already trying to assist in carrying what appeared to be a telescope. Excitement took over the Biology teacher and instead of focusing on helping, he ends up inquiring about the other teacher’s plans. “Cool! A telescope! You setting up for something?”
⌜ ☆。.:*: – There might not be any candidates for the Astronomy club yet, but Gale has high hopes that he’ll find interested students before the year ends. For now, he’ll just have to enjoy the stars by himself. Luckily for him, the school has superb equipment that made stargazing even more enjoyable. Tonight, he’ll have the joy of observing the night sky fresh after the new moon. It means the skies will be clearer, and that fact alone placed Gale in a pretty good mood throughout the day. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – After his last class for the day, he started preparing for his plans for the night. He’s not the most physical instructor in Harvest Academy so carrying his bag and the telescope he needs made him look even more awkward that he already is. He struggles to get the telescope out of the room, and just as he feels as if the weight will be too much for his skinny arms, someone comes over to lift some of the weight for him. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ...thanks? ” He doesn’t mean to sound ungrateful, he’s just surprised. The orange-haired man that suddenly appeared is a stranger to Gale and as far as he knows, he doesn’t have any students that look like him too. "Um, stargazing. It’s for tonight.” His answer seems unsure as he tries to figure out who this man is. After a few more seconds, Gale gives up. “ ...sorry, but... who are you again? ” ⌟

queenvitch:
Vivi was incredibly aware of her sins. She’s intense, selfish and has the strongest need for things she does not have. If not being content of what you have and being fully aware of what you should have is greedy, then Vivi will gladly embrace the label.
He’s frowning and sighing at her again. One moment Vivi thought (and assumed) that there was a spark somewhere. That one chance she’s been dying to get, however they’re back to their usual flow right now. He’s getting her hopes up again, and it frustrates her to no end that this is how it’s always been.
Perhaps that’s why she liked him so much: the thrill of the chase was too good. She, who is so used to being given what she wants, is being held back of attention.
Vivi craved for this stupidly dense and dead pan man’s attention. One day she’ll make him as intoxicated as she is for him, and when that day comes, she’ll be the one wrapping him around her finger.
For now, she hopeless clung to the trails of hope he leaves for her to take and follow.
“Oh, shut up. You would have given me something regardless if I asked for anything or not.” Despite saying this confidently, it was more of a I hope you would have, anyway. She liked his flower crown gift. It was simple, fitting, and personal. It’s not like he’ll be giving out similar gifts to others, right? Right?!
On their short walk towards his car, Vivi wondered what should her return gift would be. At first, she wanted to hand him a blue flower… that was too obvious, not dramatic enough. His surprise for her this morning deserved more than just some common blue rose being handed out by the students.
She’ll have to be more creative.
Her planning was interrupted by his proposition– a small trade off for the car ride. Years of knowing each other trained Vivi to distinguish when he’s annoyed at her, when he’s joking, or just uninterested. Right now, he’s actually kidding around. Vivi twirls a thin strand of her hair near her ears and tucks it behind after. “…coffee’s on me.” She nodded shyly, amber eyes straying away from his mismatched ones. This felt like a morning date.
“I don’t feel like having the coffee from the cafeteria– oh, I know! Let’s drop by the cafe first. The barista there adores me!” She’s not bragging, it was simply a small fact. Both she and Maya were guilty of flirting to get free food and drinks for their saturday brunches at the cafe.
Before they could reach the parking lot, Vivi made a quick turn to head for the nearby cafe. It was then she realized maybe she’s being too pushy… too demanding, so she says. “..please?” She added a little too late while pausing and looking up at him.
⌜ ☆。.:*: – You’re not wrong, he thinks to himself. Perhaps it’s because out of habit, but even with their tendency to fight and argue, Gale admits to having a gift ready for her when it’s expected of him. Birthdays, holidays, even small celebrations like these. It’s all part of beings friends and they’ve both known each other for far too long to be ‘shy’ about giving each other gifts. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – He expects her to complain when he asks for something in return. Instead, she agrees immediately. Shyly, even. The way her cheeks would turn red at the most random of times is not new to Gale, but meekness and Vivi did not match. She was even looking away. Sick, maybe? ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ...please do not exploit the local barista’s infatuation. I’m sure they have other things to pay for... ” He’s the one asking for a free drink right now but it doesn’t mean he wants to disregard the well-being of some random citizen. He happens to know the baristas in town due to his frequency in cafes and they’re nice people. It’s very likely one or a few of them would be infatuated over Vivi since she can be... very flirty when she wants a boon. Admittedly, he’s not the biggest fan of that habit of hers. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Considering he’s not one to talk too often, he assumed him not saying ‘no’ passed on the message that he agreed to go. But she suddenly paused to say... please? Vivi? Saying please??? Gale was half-convinced he was dreaming everything now. Not only was she shy earlier, but now she’s even being considerate... What a strange morning. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ Okay. ” His answer is simple, eyes open wide in shock as he looks back at her like a kitten waiting to be pet. He almost always agrees to go along with her anyway, even if he does complain a lot. It comes to him as strange how she’s acting right now and concern is starting to form once more. “ ...are you sick? ” He blinks and asks while carefully observing her. She didn’t seem sick... In face she looks great. He places a hand on her forehead to check her temperature, wondering if she was just too good of an actress to hide something that should be obvious. “ You should call in sick if you are. We’re allowed leaves, if we really need it... ” ⌟

“Stop being such a baby. There’s food inside and I guarantee you most are better choices compared to a stupid taco.” That wasn’t entirely true, but Gale has no choice but to suck it up. He’s eating (and possibly drinking) at the bar whether he likes it or now.
Making their way inside, Vivi heard one of the bouncers talking about her– or rather, them. Never one to tolerate this kind of trashy behavior, Vivi stopped in her tracks the moment they passed by them. One arm still around Gale’s, her free hand rested on her hips as she glared at the both of them, “I can buy this bar and throw you both out of the picture if you don’t shut up.” She smiled sweetly right after, hair flipped as she continued to walk inside. She might have merged her family’s and her own wealth, but they didn’t need to know that.
It’s not like she looked like some tramp in the streets. Simple as her dress for the night was, she still prided herself in carrying herself well. Just the right amount of class and playfulness. If a man can’t see that, then they are hardly worth a look.
She tightened her grip around Gale’s arm when he seemed more apologetic for sticking around rather than being proud he gets to accompany her. She’ll correct him soon enough. As soon as they were able to sit down on the booth he chose, she pinched his arm hard and corrected him immediately, “I said look appreciated, not apologetic. You’re making it seem like being with me is a curse. I’m not that bad to be with, am I?”
She sat down to the far side of the booth and crossed both her legs and arms, a glare sent to Gale. Even if the light blush on her cheeks betrayed her and there’s a small amount of fear just in case she is troublesome to him, Vivi acted composed and refused to look away. Well?!
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Vivi may be a lot of things, but Gale admits her outspoken side is something he wishes he has, too. While he chose to stay quiet when he was being insulted, she didn’t even hesitate to speak out. Her misleading smile that followed the threat made the two bouncers completely shut up. Gale swears he saw them muttering and regretting opening their mouth. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – She seems to want to truly make it appear as if they were acquainted, her hold on him tightening. He appreciates her attempt to prevent further mutterings and insults coming his way, but he refuses to take back his apology. His features stiffen at the question thrown at him, however. If he says the wrong things, she’ll be overly dramatic and exaggerate things again.⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ Don’t pinch me... ” He rubs his pinched arm and frowns, buying himself time to think about his answer some more. She looks hurt and insulted over something so simple. “ You act as if I was insulting you, I was just... saying the truth. I’m... not the kind of company you’d enjoy to have here. ” In a way, Vivi is a curse. The kind that brings Gale the exact opposite of what he wants. Tonight is a prime example of that. ⌟

⌜ ☆。.:*: – Still, he can’t exactly label their relationship as ‘bad’. Just like earlier, Vivi is the kind of person that can do what Gale can’t. And sometimes, everyone needs a person that will fill in the gaps you can’t cover yourself. “ Don’t overthink things... I won’t be here if that was the case. ” He doesn’t even know why he had to remind her of this. Wasn’t that obvious? And to think between the two of them, she was the more social one. He extends a finger to poke the gap between her two eyebrows in attempt to loosen her up. That glare of hers is a little scary and intimidating. “ ...sorry if I gave you that kind of impression. The two Sams were snickering in the background, already teasing Neil about the arrival of his ‘best friend’. “Fuck off. He’s not my friend.” Neil was about to get a can of beer for himself when the door swung open and Eli continued to insist to bring Gale here. He’s harmless, Neil. Didn’t you say you want to show that other teacher you were nice sometimes? Here’s your chance~?
Cheater.
“Fine! See if I care!” Neil threw his hands in the air and gave up. Leave it to their vocalist to be too friendly for his own good. If Neil didn’t have such a soft spot for him, he would have dragged and thrown Gale out himself. “There’s food and drinks in the kitchen– don’t spill anything on my carpet. Got that?”
⌜ ☆。.:*: – The idea that he’s even friends with Neil made Gale sick, let alone be his ‘best friend’. Gale doesn’t have fond memories with his friends and even if a select few were nice, they were guilty of being bullies by association. They’re adults now but who’s to say they grew out of their childish personalities? Neil certainly hasn’t. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ..thanks. ” He finds himself inside, forced to sit down on the couch as Elli ran off once more to take a call. The two Sams were taking a video call from their baby sitter and daughter, too. Great. Now he’s stuck with Neil without a middle man. ⌟

⌜ ☆。.:*: – He takes one of the cans available on the table, late to realize it was beer. Drinking alcohol isn’t something he particularly enjoys, but he does drink. Just not as often as others. “...what’s the party for?” He keeps his eyes on the floor and on his feet while he opens the can. Neil and him aren’t the type to do small talk but he at least wants to know what he got himself into. ⌟

⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale plans to form an astronomy club in the school. The only problem is getting students to be interested... he’s not the most fun teacher around, and definitely not the most charming. It’d need some convincing to get students invested in the club, or at least join, so here he is, having some trouble with recruitment. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – " ...excuse me. ” The first step is to gauge the interest of people. If the interest isn’t there, then he’ll have to entice them. “ I’m holding an activity for Astronomy... it’s open for everyone even if you don’t take the class. ” He shyly offers a brochure explaining a possible scheduled group stargazing activity. A list of constellations with pictures are found on the brochure to hopefully get a positive reaction from the students he passes these along to. ⌟

“This festival didn’t turn out too bad…” Toby looked around the decorated campus, the place buzzing and alive with excitement for the week’s worth of games and fun. It was nice that the school was able to put on such a fun week for the students considering how hard those kids worked. Well, most of them, anyways. Toby wore his normal attire, though he supposed most instructors would call it casual wear. Regardless, he was comfortable in it and found himself wandering through the festival before he needed to head back to the pie-a-staff station.
In his roaming and admiring of the decor, Toby failed to notice someone walking in the opposite direction. They ended up bumping shoulders pretty hard and Toby immediately went to check if they were alright, concern etched on his features. “Are you okay? I didn’t see you there, sorry…”
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale isn’t the strictest of instructors so he doesn’t find himself too popular in the pie game assigned to the staff. Which is good. Cleaning off the food thrown at him would be too bothersome... apart from one pie he got from a student he scolded a few times in the library, he’s practically spotless. This leaves him in a pretty good mood, especially since the one that threw pie at him only hit his arm. Nice try, buckoo.⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – This time around, he wonders the school grounds just to browse the different games and avoid the pies just in case he has a secret vengeful student. He admires the cheerful vibe set up by the students, eyes wandering to the different decors and games. In his admiration, his luck completely ran out and he ends up bumping hard on someone. He’s not the most well-balanced people, especially with his posture, so he ends up stepping back a few steps, almost tripping, but not quite. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – " ...it’s alright. ” Gale says as he rubs his shoulder. Why am I so accident prone... “ You’ll be surprised how often this happens to me... ” He sighs at that and looks back to who he bumped-- or bumped him. “ And... you? Sorry I wasn’t looking... the decoration’s a little distracting... ” ⌟

Neil has a handful of close personal friends he keeps in touch with. The majority of those friends were once he knew since he was either a kid or in high school. When the weekends came, some of his old bandmates decided to pay Neil a visit– but with a small twist…
Neil’s face immediately turned sour as he stared at the slouched form of the braided librarian of the school. Their former vocalist, Eli, slung a shoulder around Gale and was obviously the reason why he was dragged to his front door right now. The two Sams were already inside and Zeek was late. Of course.
“You’re not invited.” That was all Neil said before slamming the door shut for both Eli and Gale. If Mr. Friendly over there was inviting that nerd over, he can’t come in too.
⌜ ☆。.:*: – Gale has no plans of being ‘buddy-buddies’ with Neil or his band-mates in high school. Half of them were just as terrible like he was and Gale prefers keeping them in the past rather than in the present. So when he sees Eli -- the vocalist to Neil’s small band -- in the hallways of apartment building, the first thing Gale does is walk away fast enough so he can escape being detected. Unlucky for him, they were heading the same way. So here he is now, trapped and dragged to Neil’s. Of course the door was shut close the moment the devil blond saw his face. Fun. ⌟
⌜ ☆。.:*: – “ ...I’m leaving now. ” Gale announces to Eli, but his leave wasn’t approved and he’s once more dragged. Why is he always dragged around?! Don’t let him get to you, come on, it’ll be fun! Eli insists, opening the door by force and dragging Gale along with him. There inside Gale sees moer familiar faces. Oh, joy. ⌟
