"Am I supposed to feel the pain in my chest when I think of Melvin?" Gabe asked Mellie. Nothing bad had happened, he just couldn't shake the feeling. He wasn't sure if that was normal when you were in love with someone or not.

Was it her imagination, or did he keep calling her pretty? It wasn't the first time that guys fell all over themselves for her looks, even friends would point this out. When she took notice of it, that was. Yet there was something about this time that make her feel a mixture of self-awareness and appreciation. Leo wasn't already catching feelings, was he?

Then again, this was a date! Anything pretty. Well, that brought a dusting of pink to her cheeks, unaware of hoping he'd notice.

A shake of her head with a smile. “No, no allergies. I am newly vegetarian. 'Ope that doesn't bother you at all.”

"I can get behind that." Not many people called him Leo--but then, he preferred not to tell most people his first name if he could help it. That nickname certainly beat Church, though.

"It's... pretty," he said a bit sheepishly, letting the door swing shut behind the two of them. "I mean, y'know, you'd probably make anything look pretty, but--"

He cleared his throat. "Anyway...uh, you don't have any allergies or anything, right? Just to be safe."
