hello everyone! ;v;/

i’m so sorry for my continued absences here and for continuously letting down everyone by not coming back when i said i would;;

due to some personal circumstances, i’m planning to remake this minfilia blog to better fit my interpretation of her. i do not know many people have already caught wind of my situation on my main blog @questir but to put it into a summary: i’ve had to cut off ties with two people in this fandom. because of those people, i feel that my interpretation of minfilia has been severely compromised.

again, i’m so terribly sorry for making this kind of decision but i want to make sure that i roleplay minifilia the way i see her and not anyone else’s version of her.

thank you for following me as long as you have! i will update this blog with the new remake as soon as it’s finished and you all can follow me on the remade blog!

Minfilia laughs gently at Azee’s embarrassment, out of good humor, and pats her shoulder again as if that will help ease her mild discomfort. She smiles warmly and opens her arms. “All this talk makes me rather inclined to shower my ‘sister’ in hugs, if you don’t mind?”

She laughs good naturedly and waves off Azee’s embarrassment. “No explanations needed, my friend! I’ve always wanted a sister anyway!”

Minfilia gently pats Azee’s shoulder with a friendly grin. “I honestly mistook you for myself from a distance—I think you pull this outfit off well. Perhaps better than I.”

I was given a hat and taught a dance and told that it would help unite Eorzea with the Steppe, establishing an ally-ship should we ever need one.

The assault happened extremely fast, and you’re probably right–she had to fall into survivor mode pretty quick. I imagine her time being interrogated/imprisoned plus recalling what happened did a number to her which…we just never see :/ a fic about this whole thing from her POV would be nice.

right!! and it’s not like she could really do anything to help the scions. she had no weapon other than the dagger she carries around with her and that’s not going to do much against a skilled military garlean troop + one of the tribunus under gaius van fucking baelsar. there was no way out of that unless she surrendered herself and not even her position of antecedent saved her. without the warrior of light, the scions of the seventh dawn didn’t pose a threat.

and it kills me to know that it’s implied (if not outright stated) that livia took great pleasure in imprisoning / interrogating minfilia. how awful that might’ve been for her—she couldn’t save the very people she recruited to her cause and endured what could’ve very well been torture on top of that. and yet she still has the strength to carry on after all that. i really want to write a drabble of this entire incident sometime dkfjlksja

on that note, i also just finished the main story titan trial and *quietly lays down* so many feelings about the garlean assault on the waking sands holy fuck

almost all of the scions. just, dead. and only urianger, papalymo, and yda were the ones who were captured. y’shtola and thancred are markedly missing from that scene. (unless i’m misremembering and it was y’shtola who was captured and not yda.) y’shtola is probably still in la noscea gathering information on the ascians. but where is thancred in all of this?

and minfilia’s reaction to the assault was... interesting. (at least from the english localization.) she didn’t panic like i thought she would—rather, it felt like she knew what was happening right at that moment and reacted as if this wasn’t her first rodeo. her surrender made sense! she knew she didn’t have the force to fight back—after all, the garleans had caught the scions off guard and was, you know, killing off a good number of them at the moment.

but what bothers me is that she appeared as though the dying screams of the scions weren’t affecting her. maybe it was the heat of the moment and that she needed to focus on surviving the assault first but. damn, i’d be at least shaken to hear my allies dying right outside my door if i were her. maybe i’m overanalyzing this scene too much but something about it just... seemed off to me.

after establishing contact with y’mhitra, i traveled with her to sagolii desert where we encountered the avatar of ifrit.

needless to say, i’m a bit wary of utilizing a primal’s essence. however, this will bring us closer to solving at least one of the allagans’ many mysteries. perhaps with this method, other paths may yet open to us. we must do whatever it takes to safekeep this star from the primals.

hey guys remember that one time when all the scions basically “died” at the very end of A:RR just before heavensward?

what if minfilia didn’t run back? what if she ran with the warrior of light and travelled to ishgard with them, alphinaud, and tataru? what if she reunited with krile at last? fam, fam what if she met estinien and ysayle proper and invited them to join the scions? what if, lads, she had to carry the burden of failing the scions for the second time (again, remember the time they were basically massacred by the garlean assault after titan?) and struggled with intense guilt of having left behind her family basically? 

wanna make a verse of this so bad you don’t even kNOW
