Yes, I came online just to post this, @onewiththeblueeyes. It’s public for the world to see now, and preserved for future generations of duelists who will talk about the legendary duelist JONOUCHI KATSUYA, whose incredible dueling skills were recognized and praised by the likes of MUTO YUUGI and KAIBA SETO.

Because when you say decent you mean fantastic, incredible, impressive and otherworldly good, right?

If we roleplay:

1. Don’t apologize for being late/slow with replies.

2. Take all of the time you need. Days, weeks, months, doesn’t matter. Don’t put yourself under stress because of such pointless things.

3. Your personal life out of character along with your health are the most important. If you drop a thread/conversation/whatever, it’s alright. Just stay safe and take care.

          He knows. God, he knows that, and sometimes it gives him a real headache. In a way Yuugi’s unwillingness to hate him is at the very core of their friendship, isn’t it? He was such a shitty person and yet Yuugi never gave up on him, trusting in his heart to be good more than anyone (besides Shizuka) ever has. It’s both reassuring and unnerving that Yuugi is so open to getting hurt just to hold on to his belief that an idiot like Jonouchi is worth his love.     “That’s why you’ll always be a better person than me, Yug..” he says quietly, looking right into Yuugi’s eyes. He swears they look more beautiful every day. “Damn, I’m really lucky to have you, you know that?”

          Jonouchi just barely catches the sandwich Kaiba is tossing at him, squishing it a little in his hurry to grab it. It looks like the other barely took three bites out of it and Jonouchi almost makes a comment about how Kaiba can still be picky when they’re literally running risk of starving out here, until he realizes that, yeah, they are at the risk of starving out here.. and Kaiba is acting human for once. He swallows, staring at the sandwich. There was supposed to be a big restaurant with lots of food on the island, but something large and strong had laid waste to it before Kaiba and Jonouchi even got close. This sandwich, as well as a few candy bars and bottles of soda, were the only thing they could salvage in the ruins, without getting too close to the monsters lurking there.

Jonouchi bites into it hungrily, not even caring that it’s a little dry. He eats about half of it before holding it back out to Kaiba.     “You didn’t have enough,” he says, stubbornly. “I’m not eating your share.” Even though his stomach is grumbling and he hates himself for not packing more snacks before coming here.

          The cuteness hits him out of nowhere, while he’s mid-bite into his cheeseburger, and for a moment Jonouchi just stares. Then he swallows and slowly a wide grin spreads on his face. He may not be the best duelist in the world (yet!), the best student, or particularly successful at any other aspect of his life - but when it comes to his best friend, he certainly hit the jackpot. “And you’re mine, Yuugs,” he replies. Then his eyes grow a little bigger and he reaches over the table to go for Yuugi’s plate. “Whoa, you have onion rings? You sure are willing to share with your favorite person in the world, right? Right??”

“are you actually satisfied with this?”

          Short answer? No. But what the hell is he supposed to say that in the face of such a humiliating defeat? Especially when there’s still other people around, looking and listening. Jonouchi laughs, louder than strictly necessary. “Sure I am! Losing every once in a while just adds fuel to my motivation! This way I’ll get a chance to fight even more duels before the finale, in order to win the qualification coins back!” He’s still laughing as they walk away, waving at the crowd they pass through, pretending not to see their pitying looks.

Tristan: Joey, please don't go picking a fight with Kaiba. He owns the city now, he could make life difficult.
