Salagdoong Beach Resort in Maria Siquijor

Salagdoong Beach Resort is one of the best beaches I love in Siquijor. It has an amazing clear blue water and a white sand that mesmerizes most of the tourists who visit the place. Really, it's the true beauty of nature. And it is 30 km away from the Siquijor port.

When we say beach, of course, ang nasa isipan ay ang mga typical beaches that we usually know. But Salagdoong Beach Resort has it's own unique definition of beauty - the beauty of nature. The natural rock formations, the shallow clear blue water, and the white sand.

When I came here the first time with my family, I was really amazed at 'di ko talaga maiwasang ma-excite! Syempre, sa ganda ba naman ng Salagdoong. Though, pang-ilang balik ko na ito at 'di ko parin maiwasang mamangha. There's something in this place that I couldn't get enough.

There are some activities na mai-ooffer ang Salagdoong such as snorkeling, kayaking, at ang pinaka-exciting sa lahat ay ang cliff-diving. Merong dalawang diving boards that varies in heights. If you want a daring cliff-diving, subukan mo yung mas mataas na diving board which is 25-35 ft. high depending on tides. But if you're new to this, subukan mo yung mas lower na diving board which is 20 ft. high. It's safer pero mas advisable lang siya during high tides kasi 'di masyadong mataas ang tubig. You might hit on stones dahil sa babaw ng tubig kapag low tide.

Though, I didn't try either one of these. My knees are trembling hindi dahil takot ako sa heights kundi dahil takot ako malunod! Hindi pa ako masyadong expert sa swimming. LOL! And I only ask my friend na kunan ako ng picture sa isa sa diving boards - specifically yung mas mataas para kunyari, tumalon ako galing doon.

May entrance fee na PHP 25.00 per head/person at PHP 35.00 per vehicle. It's a perfect place for a get together of your family and friends dahil may mga available cottages rin na pwedeng rentahan sa halagang PHP 200.00 each. And if walang dalang pagkain, no need to worry because there's a restaurant malapit sa beach that serves meals from ₱150 - ₱400+. They also sell softdrinks, beers and shakes.

And if you want to rest or stay overnight, there are also available rooms. If gusto mong mas makatipid, maaari ka ring gumawa ng tent near the shore.
