Hi guys! Just want to share my sister's cause for my niece. I will try to make this short!

Our baby Jared, a seven-months old baby was born with a split lip and palate. In addition, jared is being treated for high blood pressure and kidney glands. Causing him not to hear anything! The lip surgery is scheduled for October. But it was cancelled due to Jared's poor findings and high blood pressure. Jared is not an infant due to his problem and has to use special diet that requires certain financial funds.

His father works in a coffee shop and his 18-year-old mother is unemployed. This family needs every kind of help as much as we do sometimes. We honestly have the same problems as my baby needs a surgery but luckily i got to borrow to my friend for my baby's surg plus i am just a single mom who's also trying to survive.

Frequently I encounter non Native folks who tell me they think reservations are some form of reparatoins to Natives from the US government. I even had someone close to me tell me they thought reservations were places to “reserve” our cultures.

Where I’m from (South Dakota) reservations were concentration camps where they sent us to die after they stole and colonized all of the land every US citizen occupies. In the early SD Rez days our ppl had to get permission from district agents (white settler men) to get food, fix our homes, or even leave our community to travel to another community on our Rez to visit relatives. We couldn’t hunt cuz they killed millions of our buffalo. If we didn’t get permission from the white settler agent we couldn’t eat, fix our homes or visit relatives because we would be violating US law & could be arrested. Also our cultures & ceremonies were illegal under US law until the Indian Religious Freedom Act in 1978.

So plz educate the ppl you love and care abt because everyone in the USA is living in an illegal settler colony, Indigenous ppl survived their genocide & we’re her to say these settlers never gave af abt us & never will.

I’m going to move in w my uncle for a year but i’m trying to save up to move out perminately after that.

I currently live w my abusive sister whose been at rehab and is coming back home in 2 days and my emotionally abusive dad who takes his stress out on me and w my sister probably going to jail (long story dont ask) it’s been really rough for me mentally.

Some bullshit happened with a refund being processed incorrectly and now my bank account is in the negative, and I have therapy, psych, sleep study, endocrinologist, and dentist appointments all coming up in the next two months. Tl;dr: A Canadian company is planning on a project in Africa that will take up 1/6 of the world's remaining carbon budget. This is an issue of neocolonialism and environmental racism.

2: Reconnaissance Africa (ReconAfrica) is a Canadian-registered oil and gas company which has begun drilling for oil in the Kavango Basin, located and Northeast Namibia and Northwest Botswana.

Their license areas cover a total of 34,325 square kilometers (8.5 million acres).

Including parts of the Cubango-Okavango River Basin (traverses through Angola, Botswana, and Namibia) and along the Okavango River, which feeds into the Okavango Delta.

3: The Okavango Delta is a large inland delta located in Botswana and is a world-renowned hotspot of biodiversity.

It is designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a Wetland of International Importance by the The Ramsar Convention.

It is home to many endangered species, including the African wild dog and the last remaining population of African savanna elephants.

4: ReconAfrica's license areas are home to around 200,000 people.

The company has failed to properly inform and consult with the local people and receive the free, prior and informed consent of the Indigneous San communities.

Several local inhabitants have stated that they were not consulted or even informed that drilling would be taking place.

The few consultations that have occurred happened too late in the process, and were inaccessible to many members of the community.

5: Based on ReconAfrica’s own projections of 120 billion barrels of oil equivalent, a carbon gigabomb of up to 51.6 Gigatonnes of CO2 will be emitted.

The equivalent of one sixth of the world's remaining carbon budget.

6: Activists across the world are calling out and pressurizing Recon Africa along with the Canadian government to stop this catastrophic project.

This is a classic example of neocolonialism, corporate ecocide, environmental racism, and the abuse of power for profit yet again from countries in the Global North. This must be stopped!

Stand in solidarity with frontline activists and take action!

Hello to all of you my grandfather needs assistance (covid-19 positive)

Since I don't post this, I want to apologize first to all my followers.

We are asking for a little help from you.

Our grandfather PRIMITIVO is confined at CHONGHUA hospital Cebu City last month due to COVID 19. Last month he had difficulty breathing and ONLY Chong Hua Hospital accepted my granpa and intubated him immediately because his condition was critical.

in just 2-4 weeks the bill reached P409,742.41 (which you can see in the picture). All of it is the hospital bills and meds that's being used. Now the hospital is asking for the balance of the bill just so they can continue the treatment of our dad 😭😭

the other bills are already covered by the government but not all of them. Honestly, because of the pandemic, our income is limited but we do everything just so that grandpa can survive 😭 he is fighting and in critical ..
